Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones PS5

Update []:

Mat Piscatella of Circana has now posted a revised list of the best-selling PS5 games of Q2 2025 so far, noting inaccuracies in the original table. The six Microsoft-published titles remain in the top 10, but it's now Elden Ring Nightreign at the top, and an appearance from Death Stranding 2 in seventh position.

You can view the new top 10 list below:

Original Story: We have known some of Microsoft's porting efforts, like for Forza Horizon 5, have been paying off with very strong PS5 sales as of late, but a new table from Circana really puts into perspective why the Xbox titles are going multi-platform.

Across the Q2 period of 2025, which runs from 6th April to 5th July, collating both physical and digital sales in the USA, it's revealed that six of the top 10 best-selling games on PS5 were published by Microsoft. The top 10 list looks like this:

  1. Forza Horizon 5 (Microsoft)
  2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered (Microsoft)
  3. MLB The Show 25
  4. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Microsoft)
  5. DOOM: The Dark Ages (Microsoft)
  6. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Microsoft)
  7. Minecraft (Microsoft)
  8. Assassin's Creed Shadows
  9. Grand Theft Auto V
  10. WWE 2K25

It was reported last week that Forza Horizon 5 is the PS5's best-selling new release of the year so far, having surpassed three million units on the console alone — this new USA sales data backs the claim. We then have Oblivion Remastered as Q2's second-best-selling PS5 title, followed by consistent sellers like Call of Duty and Minecraft.

The ports of older titles are even outselling heavy hitters like Assassin's Creed Shadows, and the baseball MLB series at the top end of the sales chart.

More ports of Xbox games are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, but even without those reveals, we know the likes of Gears of War: Reloaded and Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 are coming across this summer. Rumours suggest Microsoft is also working on PS5 versions of Starfield, Halo, and more. Based on the huge sales boost a PS5 port can give a game, it's clear to see why Microsoft is persisting with its multi-platform efforts.

There's the possibility Sony could be getting in on the act too, as Helldivers 2 has already been announced for Xbox Series X|S. More recently, a PlayStation job listing suggested the company is looking into more ports, but was later played down by a reliable insider.
