@naruball @wildcat_kickz it's not in a great place granted but the over exaggeration about it being dead is laughable. VR is a relatively niche platform anyway so I never expected it to be a massive seller. I'm still going to buy one just for GT7 and I'm still toying with upgrading to the ps5 Pro again just for GT7. Everything else is just a bonus.

@joey302 dirt 2.0 is the goat for me. Dirt 5 is a good old Sega rally style game which is good but dirt 2.0 is where its at..that's a man's game..

@joey302 I really like wrc 10 but generations is a bit knob. HDR is terrible and the handling of the cars is really floaty especially using a steering wheel. Steel rising is a brilliant game and one which any self respecting souls like fan should jump into.

No I don't believe it. With the advent of AI generated videos I can't honestly see it. Recently there's been vids floating around of the next NFS entry which turns out is AI generated. I don't put much stock in what Grubb says (an apt name if ever there was one) and I think he just spouts any old crap he happens across to try and stay relevant. Why would Sony port GT7 to the switch 2? As great a game as it is it dosnt run flawlessly on a base ps5 unit so I can't see the switch 2 handling it without some serious concessions.

@JayJ it's called an opinion..ever heard of them? Also seeing as they are an integral part of the game..you know the story bit..I'd say its a pretty important part of the game.

@JayJ test drives biggest issue is the crap story and awful character graphics. The voice acting is bloody awful too. The actual driving is quite good but unfortunately forza 5 and the crew motorfest are so much better.

I hope they actually release the new rally game that's supposed to be out next year.

@Tatarimokke yes I enjoyed the first 2 but I don't have the time at the moment. Marathon is a pick up and play title for me but all my time is pretty much spent between dirt 2.0 and EA wrc.

@Titntin this whole generation has been something that's made me really happy with gaming and at the same time really made me froth at the mouth. I've played some of the best games in my life,discovered sim racing and met some really cool guys via pushsquare who are now friends on psn. It's also shown me some of the worst behaviour from people and with the ever increasing pervasive nature of social media platforms and outright hate bombing etc,etc,etc I fear it's only going to get evermore toxic. People forget about personal opinions (I include myself here) and are way too quick to judge and insult other gamers for daring to share their opinion. I'm unhappy about bluepoint being shuttered as I was about codemasters being closed down but I'm not heading online to spout hateful crap and wish unwell on people. Yeah this gens been a real mixed bag for me personally.

I can't wait for this. I've been interested in this for a long time and March 5th can't get here fast enough. Loving arc raiders still but I've had a bit of burnout so it's been on hiatus for a couple of weeks. How much rally driving can I get in before marathon lands and takes over my spare time?

@Oram77 I turn off cross play in BF6 and Arc Raiders mostly because of the cheating vermin on PC. Its a shame really because I'm all for cross play but there's always those individuals that have to ruin it.

@spikes91 console players cheat. Granted its most probably by using glitches and exploiting bugs but it's not as egregious as the pc code monkeys..

I guess that's going to be a huge drop in pc players 🤣. Seriously though this is good and something that should be implemented in all online competitive games.

I'll play this. I've played every iteration of the golf club games ever since they launched but I passed on this one mainly because EA's Road to the masters was the better game even though it had less content in terms of courses. I actually play golf for real and have a decent handicap but I didn't play much last year due to personal reasons. Will I get the time to play this in between my sim racing obsession and the fact that Marathon is about to drop? Time (or lack of it) will tell.

@LikelySatan I don't think I really need to point out examples though. It appears that your a seasoned gamer and have been around various forums so I think you know exactly where I'm at. I didn't mean to offend but in this current generation of gamers tapped into discussions and seeing how conversations usually go you can understand my scepticism at your intent on questioning me. @GamingGod I guess in terms of units sold then the ps3 sold more units overall (my memory was a bit hazy so I checked) but the 360 had much more stable and smoother games. On paper the ps3 was the more powerful machine but it was so damn hard to optimise the games. Only guerilla and naughty dog seemed to be able to leverage great performance from it. Remember bayonetta on the ps3? I find it hard to forget because it's performance was so damn bad. So I guess we are at an impass here because it appears we both have valid points and could go back and forth on this ad infinitum. Let's agree to disagree.

@LikelySatan I'm sure you can ascertain that yourself to be honest. There are so many areas I could touch upon that it would in all certainty take up all of my day and I really can't be arsed. This discourse between us appears to be a bit baity to me..almost as if you are not so subtley trying to be antagonistic. If this isn't the case then no worries but if it is I'm just going to move on.

@GamingGod I wasn't aware the wii was the topic of discussion. Moving the goal posts won't help the fact that the ps3 didn't fare that well against the 360. I remember that by gone era well. It's a relatively moot point anyway.

@GamingGod it did though. The xbox 360 dominated that generation. Once the ps3 price dropped significantly it started shifting units. I got fed up of my 360 rrod me evey time so after the 3rd time I jumped to the ps3. Killzone 2 and the uncharted series were exceptional but outside of those 2 every other game seemed to be inferior ports of the 360 games. Towards the end of its cycle the ps3 sold pretty well but it's still the PlayStation with the least number of units sold. So yeah the 360 did give it a bit of a battering.

@LikelySatan I'm not here to knock other consoles as I'm sure the xbox fans love their console of choice as much as the PlayStation fans love theirs although this generation has shown me some of the most entitled gamers I've ever happened upon.

@LikelySatan I use my ps5 for everything. Being able to play my ps4 back log in the best versions available is a huge bonus and I'm personally not that bothered about "exclusives" as there's far too many games touting for my readies..I'm loving this gen.

@Archaeokaiser I agree wholeheartedly but that dosnt mean I'm not pissed off about Sony closing bluepoint down. Its a massive mistake and one I hope Sony will regret.

@ChallengerxUK it may be the worst generation for you but for me and millions of others that don't give a flying marshmallow about all this spin are simply enjoying ourselves. Concord is old news. Yes it sucks massively about bluepoint but to call this the worst PlayStation generation is a bit daft. Oh and I don't subscribe to X,reddit,Facebook or any other form of toxic gossip mongering sites..pushsquare is the exception to the rule 👍

Hosting a rally championship on EA wrc. Lots of entry's and lots of quitters too so far. Surprisingly the French contingent are the worst of the rage quitters. Not sure what they are shouting but my wife assures me it's not pleasant 🤣. Have a great weekend folks 👍

@JPEGMakima being the die hard souls fan that I am I have to say your comment is misinformed. The people bemoaning the demons souls remake are most definitely in the minority to the point of being practically inaudible. The real demons souls fans loved everything about the remake and its still one of the best ps5 games around. If fromsoft were to take the bluepoint games team under their wing I can only imagine how great further fromsoft games would be.

Well I guess those that want a generational leap will probably actually get one in the sense that my generation will probably be too old and riddled with arthritis to hold the next dual sense..we will just sit and stare occasionally drooling a bit and praying for the sponge bath...

@themaladroit I've not played it (I don't own an xbox) but my nephew has it and I've watched him playing it. I lent him my copy of no man's sky and he said it was so much better. I think I qualify enough to form an opinion based on my own observation and my nephews critique of the game.

So you can buy starfield which is by all accounts pretty dull and boring or you can purchase no man's sky for a fraction of the price with a native ps5 version,full vr support and is stocked to the brim with content..yeah I think it's a no brainer really.

@Dogbreath the prices need to be the same. There is no reason for the digital prices to be so high. Yes there's the argument for server costs blah,blah,blah but if physical copies can be obtained so much more cheaper (even if it is only a code on a disc) then there is no reason digital prices can't fall in line.
