I was on the fence for a while about upgrading to the pro but I'm glad I did and I'm even happier I upgraded when I did because roughly 2 weeks after I bought it the price increased. I bought it primarily to play GT7 but pretty much every game that's pro enhanced have been incredible at times. I won't mention names but a few people on PS really sold me on the pro and I'm glad I listened to them 👍

I have the witcher 3 installed and I've had a bit of a play with it although I'm currently replaying dragons dogma 2. The witcher remaster is very smooth and looks really nice. The combat feels better too but I just don't click with the witcher the way others do and I just find it hard to invest time in it without looking for something else to play instead. It's a me thing and not a game thing but I'll get round to it eventually.

I like BF6 a lot. I was really enjoying it but I made the mistake of buying Arc raiders too and I kind of got lost in AR and forgot about BF6. I don't find the gunplay to be anything like the MW games as it feels like you have weight and you are not on roller skates and I really like the weapons too. The maps are damn cool too and the wake island revamp is very good. GOTY? Not sure about that in all fairness.

@Wiceheid if I remember correctly at the time running gpus in SLI could be a real nightmare sometimes.

@Dogbreath my gaming rig..AMD fx6300, 8 gig of ddr3 ram, a MSI gtx 970 and GTAV ran perfectly fine @1440p on high settings. It looked awesome too and I had so much fun with the director mode. Not sure what was wrong with your set up to be honest but it should have run it better than my ancient rig.

I voted witcher 3 remaster because its the only one I was interested in. I will be playing it after I've finished dragons dogma 2 dark arisen. I've had a quick play and to be honest it looks nicer and runs smoother but I'm not quite sure it's as great as it's made out to be.

@TheDaddyOtaku it dosnt change my stance on GT7 being an absolute stonker of a racing game. If only more racing games used the psvr2 to the standards that GT7 does because there is some sorcery going on there. Anybody who's not tried GT7 with a wheel and psvr2 just don't know what they are missing.

@TheDaddyOtaku OpenAI? GT7 uses its own propriety sophy AI system and those races are purely optional. I've no problem with people not liking GT7 but when people clearly are misinformed and talk tosh it kinda gets my goat a tad.

@Balaam_ "you then own and control what you paid for." Nope you still only rent them. You purchase a license to play them and you do not flatout own them. They can be discontinued and have the servers shut off at any time without notice and it's legal to do so. Yeah you can play the physical games offline providing the games are actually on your coaster but it will be the incomplete and bug ridden version you initially decided to rent.

@Rich33 don't forget that for a few articles here at PS they were pushing the "less sales of units but maintaining profitability" was a thing but conspicuously seem to omit that line whenever these articles are published now. Whys that then?

@Rich33 if I'm honest (I usually am and not to everybody's liking) the ps5 has been my fave gen thus far. Being able to play almost all of my fave ps4 games enhanced has been brilliant. Upgrading to the ps5 Pro and buying the PSVR2 was one of the better decisions for me personally. It was a very rare "splurge" moment for me because (deep breath time) just to play one game the way I wanted to experience it (GT7) I have spent in total £1679. That includes my steering wheel,cockpit frame,ps5 Pro and the psvr2 headset. All for one game which I am categorically unapologetic for. Obviously dirt rally 2.0 and EA wrc benefit from wheel too but even if I didn't become a born again petrol head I'd still put the ps5 gen head and shoulders over any other console I've had so far. Maybe happy and content gamers are becoming a dying breed.

@LogicStrikesAgain it is what it is. I've suffered with it for decades so it's almost 2nd nature really. It just sucks when you are up all night and you start work at 7:30 am and it's now 3:30am and you are not tired 🤣

@Rich33 I also find it hard to recall a prior generation (console or otherwise) that complained and appeared to be so entitled as this one. I think the ability to make one's own decisions and think for ones self has become over rated and not "individualistic" enough.

People (not including you here) like nothing more than to complain about how Sony and Microsoft are squeezing our balls but still continue to purchase their products. The anti corporate greed brigade are total hypocrites and want their cakes and be able to eat every crumb too. If they were really dedicated to their vitriolic rhetoric they would cut the cable and go live off grid but it will never happen because nobody would hear them scream. I don't like being squeezed by anybody other than my wife but it's my choice and I have no right to complain about choosing to spend my money on things I don't really need. Not that long ago there were people on here arguing with me that you could easily build a PC for less than what a base ps5 costs (pre price hike) and out perform it. I threw down the challenge for one of those deluded knuckle heads to do exactly that and post a video showing said PC working this magic. So far it's been a couple of years at least and not one person has done this. It sure ain't going to happen now with prices going the way they are. I was recently looking at a gaming rig to play dirt rally 2.0,EA wrc and assetto corsa rally in vr with my current sim rig and for what I'd need to be where I'd be very happy (me not everybody else) the price was staggering. Now this beastie of a PC which is just shy of the £3,000 point would in all fairness wipe the floor with my ps5 Pro but when it inevitably comes round to the future upgrades I doubt I'd be able to keep it going. So for me consoles are where I'll see my gaming twighlight out and I'm very much OK with that.

Increase the price and sell less consoles but maintain profitability...why is this a problem. Profitability must be through the roof right now.

@Balaam_ what's this live TV crap? Is it something I'm completely missing? I don't appear to have it taking over my main ps5 screen unless you are on about the streaming content when you scroll down the screen. If that's the case that's probably why I don't see it because I don't go looking for it. Is that what you are talking about?

@Dom_31 I agree. I thought that all the criticisms levelled at the base game were valid but over exaggerated. The frame rate issues whilst there were nowhere near as egregious as others claimed but it's down to personal tolerance I guess. I played the base game and I'm so looking forwards to getting my teeth into this especially seeing as the pro version is just superb.

I've got DD2 installed on my pro waiting for this to drop. Now the winter months are closing in I'll have time to jump into this. I've just got to purge my pro so there's nothing to distract me. Happy days.

@madmaxrules also I forgot to mention that playing normal games via the headset is pretty good. Dirt rally 2.0 and EA wrc on a virtual cinema screen is quite the experience. I'll have to give galactic racer a go as I bet that's pretty cool too.

@madmaxrules if I stand up I feel a bit queezy after a while but I'm perfectly fine whilst sat down. I think the reprojection used in some games cause some people to experience motion sickness whereas some people don't have any issues. GT7 is another example for me whereas when I'm sat in my rig I'm perfectly fine but as soon as I start walking around the car in the showroom I feel quite light headed. If I'm playing resident evil 4 I have to shift my weight around to counter the effect so I guess I get a bit of a workout when playing 🤣.

@madmaxrules GT7,no man's sky,lumines arise,arizona sunshine and resident evil 4 have given me a lot of fun and GT7 alone justified the entry fee. And then there's flatout vr on the way imminently. I know what I consider value for money will differ to what others consider it to be but for me personally I don't regret purchasing it at all.

@Stragen8 there's only one cable with the psvr2. Just one.

@wildcat_kickz I agree. I really enjoyed the campaign a lot on this one and I really liked the choice of actors playing the roles in it as well. Some of the more believable portrayals I've seen in a CoD game.
