dude these updates are SO GOOD. GT7 is quietly Sony's live service king. these guys are doing so good, in such a consumer friendly way

New tracks and cars always good, don't get why they keep adding even more and more beginner friendly stuff though, the game already has plenty between the already existing license tests and Sunday Cup races. Don't see why a family with kids would need even more than that.

What the game needed more was more end game content for experienced racers - more championships, etc. Hopefully stuff like that is also coming, and not just a whole lot more "license tests" that don't even give you license to do anything.

Just need to laugh. When you look at some forums and how often this game was already called “ended” and GT8 coming very very soon… ok guys xD

@bleeflooflah not that quietly. It's one of 2 (two) live service success stories from Sony. Both I would say accidental.
Anyway, it's in my best games of all time conversation, got me to buy a wheel and I wasn't even that much into simcade racing before, so they are definitely doing something right.

GT7 is a PS5 purchase that I've been very happy with. It's a fun racing game that keeps getting better. I think it's the best the series has ever been.

This game is just amazing. I only play it in vr and I only play it with my steering wheel set up. I'm not the best or fastest racer out there but by god do I have fun when I'm all vr'd up..can't wait for this..

@GenX79 have you played this monster in vr? If you haven't then it's something you should look into. It's jaw dropping.

@Northern_munkey Yes, it's probably my favorite VR experience, followed by No Man's Sky.

@Cikajovazmaj I just bought a refurbished t598 DD wheel & pedals and a basic cockpit. 400 quid all in, I figured if it sucks, no harm. It doesn't suck, at all. With a 15 quid elastomer cushion to give the brake more bite (ebay) and it's even better. You can spend silly money and tbh I prob will upgrade to a load cell brake and clutch with a shifter but that can wait for now. Do it!

@Northern_munkey possible on ps4 or no? I know the OEM PS VR kit is ps5 only

I also got into some F1 25 and ACC, but GT7 is definitely above else. Unfortunately I do use a peasant wheel, T248R

@GamingGod just because you have the Internet doesn't mean everybody does, and when the servers get switched off the game is completely unplayable.

When the servers get switched off, GT7 will most likely get an offline mode. And if it doesn't, who cares? GT8 will be out by then.

Stop looking for solutions for problems that don't exist.

@Dampsponge not true. GTSport servers were turned off and they made it playable offline 👍🏻. So I’m betting they’ll do same thing with 7. And if someone hasn’t got the internet then I doubt they have been playing GT7 at all since release 😂 (it’s to make the leaderboards un-hackable)

@Cikajovazmaj GT7 is exquisite buddy. A masterpiece in the racing genre and the entire history of Gran Turismo imo. Can’t wait to get back on Autumn ring dayum

@CantankerousTyrant I've no idea..I've got a ps5 Pro. I never tried the ps4 vr.

@CantankerousTyrant I also have the T598 wheel. I also bought the Evo 32r rim because I mainly play dirt rally 2.0 and EA wrc. This wheel base has been knocked by the fanatec and moza snobs but it punches well above its weight for the asking price. I'm currently thinking of buying the load cell pedals soon. @Cikajovazmaj nothing wrong with your wheel buddy. My first wheel was a T150 and I loved it although I quite quickly upgraded to the T598 as direct drive is just a different beast altogether. Enjoy your wheel.

Ah now you see I've always tried dirt 5 and wrc 9 and dirt rally 2.0 but struggled with how the wheel is not designed for drifting or rally at all. Is that a lot better? You have to change the wheel base fastening for that and the Ferrari f1 wheels don't you?

@Reeneman they aren’t going to end this PS4 game. It does so well.

Whenever GT8 comes out I wonder if it will receive a bespoke PS6 version. As I won’t be surprised if GT7 a PS4 game releases on PS6 at launch.

Lastly I’d love to see Sony release a final disc version of GT7 with the latest data as the team moves onto the next generation of GT. PS4 is old.

Finally picked this up two weeks ago — really good fun; I thought it'd be a bit bro-ey, petrol junkie kind of vibes but it's actually really quaint and charming the way you basically go around collecting cars for all these photogenic oddballs who send you off on quests to acquire them while soothing jazz plays in the background.

I'm glad they're adding more progression elements, that's what kept me coming back to GT3. I've spent 42 solid days (1022 hours) playing this beast and I love it (VR only of course). I wonder what they'll raise the level cap to, I'm already at 70 (745K points)

@CantankerousTyrant the evo 32r rim comes with 2 quick release adapters. One is for the T598 and the other is for older wheel bases. Dirt rally 2.0 and EA wrc are stunning to play with the wheels but they do require some setting up. I'm happy to assist you any way I can. Both games are quite similar and I run the same settings on my wheel base and the in game settings.

@Vaako007 you are aware GT7 is a ps5 game first and foremost. The ps4 version was released after the ps5 version. Also there's no way Sony will release an up to date version of this on disc..its just too big.

@CantankerousTyrant dirt 5 is quite tricky to get the wheel feeling just right. The force feedback back is quite low even when cranked right up. I set the T598 base unit to 240 degrees steering because its an arcade game and anything higher is just useless. I've not tried wrc9 (is it worth a punt?) But I've tried wrc 10 and generations and I've always found the handling very floaty.

It’s just staggering how much this game keeps giving, racing isnt for everyone I know, but this was the best £60 I ever spent on a game!

Won’t mention the wheel, rig, tv, vr at this stage but you know what I mean lol

@jgrangervikings1 the game is a lot of different things to a lot of different people, some like time trialling, some like custom races to set up championships, some like single player and challenge races which comes weekly not to mention the sophy AI area, me, I like the online daily racing so you’re right to a point, I’m not using all the cars but they do have a race A which this week is a old civic touring car at Suzuka, otherwise generally it’s gt3/4 racing online.

I’m also car collecting, have around 540 of 570 and have only left some serious 20m cars x4 or 5 to go, so still hunting hard.

Oh and there is lobby racing for leagues and tuners to do their thing,

It is vast.

Only game I play these days, have a full rig set up in the spare room,

vr isn’t for me, but that’s another immersive thing for the fan base

@jgrangervikings1 depends if you wish to put that much time into it, there are great players on pad, but for me, probably I wouldn’t play so much on a pad, each to their own I guess, why don’t you try the free GT, my first gran turismo, if you like that, dive in and buy 😁
