I have an ancient pc that my wife uses as her art station that plays skyrim, fallout 3 and new Vegas flawlessly with the kind of mods that improve everything about the games in a way that should make Bethesda embarrassed about the constant shoddy cash grabs they put out. If bedroom coders can produce the often stunning enhancements to these games for FREE then why can't Bethesda? I won't bother with these and if I really wanted to revisit them I'd fire up the dinosaur sleeping in the spare room.
"Two legendary PS1 beat-βem-ups." I think my idea of what constitutes a legendary brawler are very different..not even in the same post code. These games were mediocre at best and the reviews at the time were not at all favorable. I'd advise anybody reading this article to take the "legendary" tag with a fist full of salt because personally I think the only legendary thing these games will provide is the level of disappointment you'll endure.
@DennisReynolds I love this game. I finally created the Satan ball yesterday after about 30 rounds..created the soul reaver and now I'm trying to create the deadeye cross. That's going to be tough.
I bought AC:shadows and I'm only really just starting out but I quite like it so far. I much prefer the open world rpg style over the original format (I know heresy blah, blah blah) but it's just more my cuppa.
@Boxmonkey "unfortunately for them arc raiders has filled the void in the market for this game." Not at all but what they have done is raise the bar and show that if its done right and its not riddled with mtx's then there's room for more in the genre. Helldivers 2 and now Arc raiders are both examples of great game designs and both devs listen to their players feedback in a way that the bigger devs just don't seem to do. Marathon has a tough journey ahead of it and I'm interested in the game and I hope it's good.
The ps5 isn't that power hungry and my TV uses next to nothing. Glad I don't have a gaming pc as those graphics cards alone suck the national grid dry..a useless option for a non existent problem.
Not really. I played it for a very short time and I found it to be quite boring. It didn't offer anything new enough to keep me wanting to progress..I'm sure somebody likes it.
So we've had from Amazon so far..the boys, fallout and preacher (not the best adaptation granted) and now this..oh dear this looks like it's going to be a car crash.
"we have reached out to both parties to try and understand whatβs going on." It's not difficult is it? We are all fed up of this tosh permeating the eco system like a digital Japanese knot weed. Sony obviously (although it's taken a bloody long time) has had enough too. I'm all for indie games and cheap games as well and I believe the premium games can co-exist much like mastertronic, firebird, codemasters etc did back in the halcyon days of mine and many other readers here youth but there has to be a line drawn somewhere. Better late than never I guess.
This guy is probably one of the most horrible T*ATS in the gaming world. He's made his insanely huge fortune so why can't he just disappear into obscurity instead of trying to remain relevant..Horrible human.
@MrPeanutbutterz I get you. I have tinkered with the settings extensively and I do have a specific FH5 profile stored on my T598 base as well as one for EA wrc and Dirt 2.0..GT7 has its own as well. Personally I love the handling on FH5 but I'll admit that out of the box the feeling was a bit sketchy at first.
@Trousersnake I played GT7 on my mates ps5 Pro which is what made me decide to upgrade. I already have a dedicated racing rig setup in my T598 and GTplayer cockpit. 53 years old but I'm like a kid in a candy shop when it comes down to my racing games. I'll be racing this thing when I'm in my 80's but @Titntin will be there first π€£
I was rocking the Sony platinum headset for a long time but eventually the battery started to lose its charge time so I bought the ps5 pulse 3d ones and for the price I'm very, very happy with them so the question I'm asking the reviewer I guess is are they worth upgrading too? How much better is the audio compared to the pulse 3d's?
@Athrum it won't hurt them at all. Look at how many copies of FH5 they've shifted on the ps5. If anything the ps5 will benefit from the extra months they have to sort out any issues and it's wildly accepted that the ps5 and ps5 pros versions are better than the xbox's so fingers crossed this continues with FH6 on the ps5's.
@MrPeanutbutterz why what's wrong with FH5's handling? Never had any issue with the handling on my T598 wheel or when I knackered my heel and had to use the dualsense to play it for a few weeks. Using the dualsense made me realise how much pad players miss out on the amount of detail that a steering wheel setup provides via the force feedback such as the terrain detail and inertia etc so is that what you mean? Anyway I'm looking forwards to the next instalment of Forza on the ps5 but not as much as Assetto corsa rally.
"In short, Ubisoft's going to need to start pumping out hits again in the relatively near future." You could say this about every publisher. Ubisoft are one of the most consistent publishers at the moment (personal opinion) and appear to have the most successful franchises still and not only that they still manage to support their older games. The division just received a 60fps patch and farcry 4 had one too not that long ago. All this talk about the imminent demise of ubisoft is getting to be a bit daft.
"It proves you don't need to spend outrageous sums of money to make something successful." I'm glad Β£10 million isn't an outrageous amount of money. Maybe today that sum of money isn't an outrageous amount but to me it's a ludicrous sum of money. I don't know maybe I'm just getting old.
@DennisReynolds nice. I've had some really good raids on it and at first i thought it's rep as pvp was exaggerated but recently it's been a ***** storm filled with murderous little monsters..my vulcano level 4 sorts them out..
Loving it. It's a tense game when you don't know who's friend or foe. It's one of the better online co-op games I've played in a long time and even though I can see why people will get a bit bored I can't see me getting tired of it soon as there are just way too many laugh out loud moments and random chaos during raids. Night raids have gone from being something I was wary of to being one of the most played raids in rotation. Stella Montis is just a lunatic asylum and its always shotgun first question later..
@yume26 the latest update for gt7 has introduced a severe vibration effect when you understeer and it's noisy as hell when it shakes my rig. I'm not a fan and I find it hard to play gt7 with this effect. You should give EA wrc a try out with your wheel..oh dirt rally 2.0 too π
@BleedingDreamer indeed. I know that some people find it boring and admittedly it was a tad slow to start but it hooked me in right from the start. I loved the setting and the atmosphere was quite intense and the sound track..I bet John carpenter wishes he wrote that score.
@yume26 not sure if you are aware but there is a new firmware update for the T598 and there is a separate one for the actual rim too. V2.55 and v1.34 respectively and they make quite a difference. The brake pedal has had sensitivity increased too.
I wanted to try this when it launched but I never did for some reason. Every comment I've read about it appear to be quite mixed as in either people love it or despise it. It seems to me (personal opinion here) that EA have had a few ip's that they just didn't know what to do with and I'm just glad they didn't balls BF6 up but I guess there is still time. I'll never forgive the lousy ***** for closing down codemasters.
Anyway forza horizon 5 is a brilliant game and if you have a steering wheel it's even better. I loved TDU way back on the xbox 360 (am I allowed to admit to having owned an xbox 360?) and I had been waiting patiently for an open world racer to match that and forza horizon 5 is that game. Sure the crew motorfest is damn fine too but fh5 is just that much better and refined.
@SMJ don't be so silly. PS is absolutely 100% fair in all its assessments and never tries to Stoke the console war flames..you take your insinuation back π€£
They are still supporting it because it's still a really good game and despite its age it still looks and sounds bloody good. I jumped back into it briefly with a pal to see how the update played and its silky smooth. If I ever get enough time on my hands to play through this again I will and seeing as it's free on the extra tier I'd recommend this and the 2nd game to anybody who has not played it yet.
@graymamba well you kicked the hornets nest didn't you π€£. I understood your comment and I thought it had just the right amount of sarcasm to it which made me chuckle. This is what happens when people who have no sense of humour (I class sarcasm when used correctly as humour) react to somebody's comment without knowing what that person is about.
Assassins Creed shadows for me I think but in all reality it will probably boil down to Arc Raiders and one or both of the rally games. I've been dipping in and out of Project motor racing but it's pretty damn hard-core (in a good way) so I'll probably have a crack at that. Have a great weekend folks π
