Forza Horizon 6 PS5

The PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 is still on course to release later this year, Playground Games has confirmed.

As part of its newest blog post detailing a new update themed around British cars, the developer said at the bottom: "If you’re planning your trip to Discover Japan on PlayStation 5, stay tuned! Forza Horizon 6 will be releasing on PS5 later this year, and you can add the game to your Wishlist on the PlayStation Store to be notified of availability."

This is the same wording that has appeared in previous articles from the team, but it's positive news after speculation spread the PS5 port might be pushed into 2027. Previously, journalist Tom Warren at The Verge said they don't expect the PS5 version of Forza Horizon 6 to come out in 2026 anymore.

Since the original Xbox Series X|S and PC versions debuted earlier this year, Playground Games has updated Forza Horizon 6 a number of times with free content, but a full DLC drop has yet to arrive. Two expansions are planned for the title, so it's possible the PS5 version could be timed to drop with the first DLC.

Given the fact the same paragraph has been featured in previous blog posts, it could be argued it's just being included because the delay hasn't been officially confirmed yet. Still, for now, Playground Games says Forza Horizon 6 is still coming to PS5 in 2026.
