Anybody who has not played ball X pit yet really should grab this. Its just a brilliant game and any self respecting PlayStation owner should have it. Addictive as hell.

@Rich33 I suppose I asked for that after using it against somebody else the other day..I've had zero performance issues so far but then again I don't actively look out for them as I just prefer to enjoy playing the game instead of nit picking. I've just beaten those two turd burglars that were giving me grief. First time I've sworn out loud at the TV screen for a while.

@Rich33 motion blur and film grain can be turned off. I can't comment on the 120hz questions as I can't set my pro up on the big TV in the living room..that's the wife's domain and I'm not powerful enough to tackle that boss.

@Barry_vV you can change the controls. I'm using R1 and R2 as light and hard attacks.

I beat her on my 2nd attempt but she was a pain in the arse. I'm about to jump on and put those two cretinous horrors down..that's a difficulty spike and a half that encounter.

A-steak-with-ketchup arkane have made some superb games. Dark mesiah might and magic,the dishonoured games,wolfenstein young blood,arx fatalis..so long as somebody buys them and allows them to keep making great games how is that a negative?

@KundaliniRising333 I'm finding the combat to be quite intuitive to be honest. The blue and red flashes are the key thing to watch for. I can see what you mean as I thought it was a bit messy at first but there is a rhythm to it. There's not much wrong with it but we are not always going to think equally about things. I was wondering if the reviewers had a different build because the difficulty does seem to be a dividing factor. I'm playing it on the default setting and apart from this one boss that's giving me a run around I've not encountered anything that hard to defeat.

@Nem the psvr2 does a lot more than just simulate depth. If you haven't tried it then give it a go..if you have and you still think all it does is simulate depth then there's not a lot I can say.

@Old-Red I wear glasses and I wear them whilst using my psvr2. I don't have issues with them but I am looking at the globular cluster thing. Did it make any difference?

Phantom blade zero for me. I agree with @DennisReynolds that it started off a bit slow but it soon picked up and I'm loving it. I've just met the first boss that's giving me a right old headache but I know I can and will batter the living daylights out of the despicable biatch later. Galactic racer is a close 2nd and it's an awesome game but PBZ is just an awesome experience. Best birthday present I've bought myself in years.

@naruball I agree. I love my psvr2 even though I only really play GT7 and lumines arise on it but I'd say personally it's been worth every penny. Flatout vr is almost upon me and I can't wait for that.

Anybody remember when you could take your old console to GAME and trade it in for cash or credit towards your new console? There's other outlets that still allow you to do this. How is this any different other than the fact its SONY that's decided to do this? OK one could argue that SONY will probably want to credit your psn wallet with the funds whereas other outlets will probably give you cash so this is the only real issue I personally can see.

@RoomWithaMoose yeah I don't care how he spends his money and I never said I did. His whole thing is constantly moaning about how certain games seem to deliberately prevent him from obtaining the platinum trophy thus negating a sale and how he perceives that somehow owning a physical disc qualifies him to actual ownership of the game where in actual fact all it does for 100% of us is give us a license to access the game or whatever little of it is on the disc. Yes owning the physical disc does mean you can play that game again once the servers are shut down etc,etc,etc but it's whatever broken mess that game launched in. I've said my piece and I've nothing more to say.

@KundaliniRising333 "If you don't like souls like boss difficulty, you won't like this...." I've yet to encounter a boss in PBZ on the level of anything in a dark souls game or sekiro. Sekiro for me was a challenge too far. PBZ is pretty much spot on. I'm running the rusty blade and the 2 handed sword that makes those red flowers appear. Quite a combo and it really does melt those bosses.

@Balaam_ the firmware updates are not an issue for me. It literally takes a few minutes and I'll quite happily just make a cuppa while it's doing its thing. The whole anti consumer stiche is getting boring now. Just sell your PlayStation because its obviously depressing you and us too..

Loving it. It's quite an awesome game. I like the difficulty level and it's quite refreshing being able to fight a boss and not having to repeat the first phase. It's quite pleasant and I haven't had the urge to throw the controller at the wife..err I mean television 🫣

Loving the theseus mention..so replace the talentless individuals and replace them with competent programmers and then we have the old theseus paradox conundrum kicking in or just close em' down because you don't like them for some reason. All certain types of gamers want these days are for devs to go out of business. I can't remember a generation where the failures and subsequent closures of devs has been so celebrated. Embarrassing times we find ourselves in.

@Balaam_ maybe there should be special "Balaam" editions where there are no difficult or tedious trophys for you to unlock for a platinum.

@LiamCroft you mentioned the memory flowers and how you have to listen to a 15 sec commentary but failed to mention you can skip through the dialogue. Also the story is quite easy to follow so far and the flashbacks are no different to how other games have handled them. Great review by the way but I think the memory flowers were not described accurately.

@Marquez phantom blade zero. I've not played onimusha yet but PB0 is awesome. I'm about 4 hours in and I've still not found everything in the first chapter. Tis a bit on the rough side. I agree it was very insensitive of Activision to allow the footage to be included but movies are just as bad. I just watched a movie called dhurandur on Netflix and it had real footage of a suicide bombing which was quite disturbing to be honest..not much left of the bomber. I can't imagine how somebody playing CoD would feel if they knew somebody in that scene.

@DennisReynolds phantom blade is quite the spectacle. The Complaints about lack of story is something I'm not understanding as it seems pretty straight forward to me. Anyway no plot spoilers for me as you'll love it. Crimson desert is another epic game which also was critiqued for having an incoherent storyline and one I need to get back into at some point after I finish phantom blade and dark arisen. Busy year for me then 🤣

@D6rkLordS6t6n personally I have had no issues so far. I'm playing on the ps5 Pro on performance mode with the RT turned on (yes I know its not real Ray tracing) and it looks quite stunning.

I'm playing it on normal and I'm enjoying myself. I had the same issue with the camera as I did with lies of p where it felt quite floaty but upping the sensitivity a bit sorted that out. I'm enjoying not being handed my ass every 5 minutes but I really want to try the 66 days mode once I'm confident with how the combat works which is pretty wild and extensive.
