My original dual sense that came with my ps5 was truly awful in terms of battery life..After a few weeks of use it was always on charge. I replaced it with a midnight black version a little over a year ago and this one stays charged for considerably longer considering how much I use it which is a few hours most evenings (damn that arc raiders.) So is this actually a new thing?

Never had a problem with my ps4 or ps5 until the last system update. After installing that one I've had my ps5 hang on me about 7 times..hopefully this solves that issue.

I'm actually looking forwards to this game.

@yume26 the stand you mentioned will be more than enough to support the T598.

@yume26 in my honest opinion its worth every penny. The T598 is very smooth whereas the logitech is quite gritty in feeling. The pedals are far superior with the T598 being Hall effect sensors whereas the logitechs are potention meters and just can't compete. I would like to upgrade mine to the load cell pedals when they are released next year. Also worth mentioning is the T598's wheel is 30cm whereas the logitechs is 28cm. The T150 was 28cm and believe me the extra 2cm makes a difference..so the wife tells me 🤣

@yume26 I upgraded from a thrustmaster T150 which is a bit better than the logitech g29 as its belt and gear driven but I very,very quickly out grew it which is why I'm now a dedicated T598 user. If you know you are going to be using a wheel for racing games I'd seriously recommend maybe saving for a direct drive unit as its a much,much better experience.

@yume26 sorry I didn't reply as I was so damn busy today at work. I myself like @Kidfunkadelic83 have a thrustmaster T598 which is a really good solid mid level direct drive wheel. I have it bolted to a GTplayer frame which dosnt take up too much space. My TV is a hisense 43 inch 4k which is on the corner unit in the back half of the living room and not bolted to the racing frame as its not possible to mount it to my frame. I use the racing frame as my main gaming chair too. If you can afford the T598 and a sturdy stand it's highly recommended from myself.

Well I feel as though I'm entitled to 2 days to be added to my sub which I just renewed for 12 months...(sarcasm implied just in case.)

I think it's quite a sad state of affairs when bona fide artists are made to feel that they have to prove their works are genuine. As a lot of you may be aware my wife is an artist and is endorsed by derwent pencils. She is also an ambassador for the firm and is one of their go to artists who specialises in her chosen medium. Just recently she has been asked if her work is an actual drawing or is it AI generated which she found to be incredibly insulting and disheartening for her because it makes her worry about her future. It takes her 100's of hours on some of her pieces but somebody without any talent can knock something up in no time at all using AI. This is a topic I feel quite strongly about and I think it's only going to get worse for the industry.

I've never played any of this series as it's not my cup of tetley but kudos for them standing their ground and not backing down..

@DonkeyFantasy I went from the t150 to a t598 and you will definitely notice a difference.

@Kidfunkadelic83 indeed I am..I have the funds but I'm just hanging on to see what unexpected financial dramas Xmas brings..

@DonkeyFantasy nice wheel..I've got load cell pedals on my list and the thrustmaster evo 32 rim too..have fun.

I'd like a remake of warrior within as I found that game to be much more entertaining.

I'm currently looking into getting myself a ps5 Pro and the psvr2 before Xmas (hopefully) so this is pretty good timing for me.@DonkeyFantasy which wheel did you opt for?

Arc raiders and the obligatory rally games..maybe a bit of BF6 if I can pull myself away from arc raiders for an hour or so..Have a great weekend folks 👍

This game had a rough start in life but it's now absolutely stunning. No man's sky had a similar start too and that game is also superb now.

My favourite console so far. Being able to play my ps4 back log at 60fps in most cases is a massive boon for me personally. All the ps5 games I've bought have given me more enjoyment than any other generation has. I can't enthuse enough about GT7,dirt rally 2.0 and EA wrc and my T598 setup as I would never have invested so much without the ps5. Now I'm after the psvr2 and the ps5 Pro primarily to play GT7. It's a 9/10 system for me.

@wildcat_kickz normally I'd agree with you especially with infinity ward but BF6's gunplay is up there with infinity wards best.

@nomither6 desperate? Not at all but it's telling that in the 20+ years they have been in the console business they are now deciding to release their main titles on a rival platform 🤔

@Deadlyblack no need to apologise for speaking your mind about something you feel strongly about. Sonys had some really good ports but they've also had some iffy offerings as well but I guess it works the other way round too where the console owners have been on the receiving end of shoddy ports as well.

@Deadlyblack at last somebody who sees it as it is. Sonys PC ports have been quite shoddy so it's no surprise the sales are not overly spectacular compared to the native console releases. We could also factor the rampant piracy issue as well.

I think this is a rather cynical approach. If the xbox series whatever was selling as well as previous gens we would never see forza,gears or halo anywhere near the PlayStation. They actually need Sony to prop up their sales and its probably the reason they didn't make CoD an xbox exclusive. Forza 5 was a rip roaring port and I really enjoy dipping into it but after seeing the rather lacklustre port of gears of war I decided to pass even though I was looking forwards to it. Let's see how halo fares.

@get2sammyb I think COD has become rather complacent and has fallen asleep at the wheel. No amount of marketing wizardy from Sony could have saved this entry. BF6 nailed it and gave the fans what they wanted while Activision lost their grip and brought out this schizophrenic release.

Well EA did this very same thing with EA wrc and look how that turned out. Codemasters should have remained independent and continued the Dirt rally franchise. As much as I'm enjoying BF6 and EA wrc I'll never forgive them for shuttering codemasters..a real f**king travesty.

@LiamOliver I tried my mates fanatec and it was pretty good but the T598 is much better. It's got stronger force feed back and more options to tweak. When I first got it I was not prepared for just how strong it is. I had dirt rally 2.0 and EA wrc configured for the T150 which is only 2nm so I really should have thought about that before trying to break my wrists 🤣. I'm sorry to hear that you are not particularly enamoured with your fanatec but it was the extra cost that swayed me to the T598 and I'm glad I did.

@RawnDawn yeah you will need a pretty sturdy stand as the T598 can crank out the torque. As @Kidfunkadelic83 said I've had days where I've felt like I've been down the gym working out. I highly recommend dirt rally 2.0 and EA wrc too..those 2 games will have your arms like hating you in no time 🤣

@RoomWithaMoose @Darude84 I have to agree with you two here. Reading this review gives me the impression that the game is OK but not great. It does go back and forth quite a lot and I guess it points out what's good and bad but from what I've seen leading up to its release and actual gameplay vids I think it looks a right load of cack to be honest. BF6 actually has a campaign and looks the business too and Arc raiders is just sublime in its utter chaotic randomness..COD desperately needs to get back to its roots and stop trying to pander to the tik tok generation.

@get2sammyb not sure why it's okay to use the term "weirdos" as a description for people with differing opinions as anybody else would have their comment removed. I've never understood the hate for this series as it's a class series. I own both games although it took a while for it to click with me and I've yet to play through the 2nd game as I have too much on the back burner but I'll get there eventually.

@RawnDawn it's worth every penny if you are serious about starting sim racing or just simcade racers..works really well with forza horizon 5 and the crew motorfest as well.

@Brockybrock I suck at gt7 but I enjoy playing it. @Kidfunkadelic83 kicks my ass on gt7 but I own him on the rally even though I use automatic but I'm getting used to manual gears.

@RawnDawn people will tell you the fanatec is the better wheel but for the difference in price the T598 for me personally is the better choice. Its a 5nm direct drive but it has overshoot that boosts it to 10nm in certain circumstances and its a constant 5nm..never dips and no cogging.

@Brockybrock Thrustmaster T598 and I have a GTplayer cockpit..well over 300 hours in EA wrc 🤣

@LiamOliver I hear you but personally going from the t150 to the t598 was game changing for me. The difference in the force feedback is night and day. I would really like the load cell pedals but I'm going for the psvr2 first.

@Ainu20 I'm a casual gt7 player..actually I'm about to chuck some serious cash at the psvr2 headset specifically for gt7 so referring to myself as a "casual" player may seem a bit daft. Anyway I agree with you that gt7 has given away so many freebies over the years that enticing new players with this incentive isn't something that bothers me in the slightest and to be honest I actually think it's a good thing.
