Re: Battlefield 6 Demolishes Series Records, Sells Over 7 Million Copies in First Three Days

Northern_munkey

@JohnnyShoulder this is my only gripe too in that you have squad members who don't revive or resupply. Playing with randoms I expect this to happen which is why when you have mates who know how to play and know that you have to have different classes to be successful is when the game really shines. The guys I've been teaming up with are good at communicating to each other and even though we are quite crap we are having a laugh and really enjoying it.

Re: Ghost of Yotei Is Sony's Biggest PS5 Launch Since Spider-Man 2 in Europe

Northern_munkey

But it's not selling similar figures to GoT which managed around 2.4 million in 4 days or something daft like that..GoY hasn't even reached 2 million units sold yet and from what I'm reading around the tinterweb it's sales figures are something like 40% down..don't ask me for direct links as it will take all day to link every single article but anybody can look this up themselves. Have Sony released a 1st party game since spiderman 2? They are so rare I may have missed one. If not its hardly an achievement is it?

Re: Talking Point: PS6 In 2027 - How Do You Feel About Sony's Next-Gen Console?

Northern_munkey

I don't really care much to be honest. I'm thinking about buying a ps5 Pro and a psvr 2 at the moment. I'm hearing some people here think the ps5 is the worst gen PlayStation but I have to disagree because all those games that ran in 30fps on the ps4 that I wished were 60fps now are and I'm really happy I got to replay them all again. I've had more fun on my ps5 than on any other PlayStation I've owned and I think I'll stick with it for as long as its supported and then look towards what the ps6 brings to the table. Not interested in building another pc as its just too expensive for what I'd want to play the games at the fidelity I'd expect. I'm happy with what I've got at the moment.

Re: Sony's Bluepoint Studio Recruiting for Third-Person Melee Action Game

Northern_munkey

It dosnt necessarily mean it could be another god of war just because they list 3rd person action and puzzle elements. If that was the case every 3rd person action and puzzle based game that's on the cards could potentially be a god of war game..I hope that its an original ip away from the GoW universe and I'd really like to see just what bluepoint can do when completely free of the shackles that bind.

Re: Review in Progress: Battlefield 6 (PS5) - You Won't Be Buying This One for the Campaign

Northern_munkey

So after a rather solid weekend of BF6 playing a bit of the campaign and a lot of multiplayer I can hands on definitely say that most of the issues relating to the campaign are being somewhat exaggerated here. The game is very, very good. It does have some quirks but compared to how call of duty releases this game is performing exceptionally. The que times to get into servers are none existent and take less than a minute and to be honest they were very, very short waiting times on launch day. COD usually takes at least a couple of weeks to become stable. If you love BF then buy it and enjoy it and don't be swayed by the hyperbole surrounding server wait times..

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 602

Northern_munkey

BF6 for me this weekend. I am loving this game so much and I've had zero issues getting into online games. The only time I saw a que time was the very first game I jumped into and that only took a couple of minutes if that..I feel a whole lot of nothing is being made over this particular instance. Have a smasher of a weekend folks 👍

Re: PS6 Out 'in a Few Years' as Sony, AMD Discuss the Future of Games

Northern_munkey

@TheFakulty I'm with you. I'm more interested in what's in store for the ps5/ps5 Pro rather than speculations about the ps6. I'm not in a rush for a new gen and no doubt if I buy into it I'm sure it'll be a great machine but will it be a huge improvement over what we already have? As great as the ps5 is its not a massive leap over the ps4/ps4 pro but I mainly think cross gen parity has contributed to that. I'm thinking of buying a ps5 Pro and a psvr2 headset at the moment and I still think we have not seen the ps5's full potential yet. When the ps6 releases we will be having the same discussions about the same criteria again no doubt.
