@psmr I'm not particularly aux fait with the lingo chosen by the more youthful generation. Abbreviations are sometimes lost on me. Rockstar have always made games that on one hand are technical marvels in terms of graphics and sound etc and they craft some of the most immersive worlds in gaming but it always puzzles me how they appear to know f**k all about optimization or how to make their online net code actually work at launch. I'm hoping the ps5 Pro has a decent performance mode but I doubt it will.

@Dogbreath it's a good job you never played dragons dogma on the ps3. Smeary visuals,huge borders top and bottom of the screen and frame rates in single figures at times. Total shocker.

@DennisReynolds thank the gaming gods for pssr 2...it really is a game changer. I never had my ps5 Pro long before pssr 2 was unleashed upon us but all the games that utilise it are just night and day above the others. For once something about the ps5 Pro that is so understated.

@GirlVersusGame I've had a quick run on crimson moon and it's very good. It's quite tough too but not too tough. I have a feeling once you ramp up the difficulty settings it will be a different story. There's just one niggle and that is you can't remap the controller and even though I'm sure I'll get used to it I think it would be nice to be able to change the buttons. Oddly though there is the option to reset them even though you can't change them. NFS unbound had a similar thing.

@wildcat_kickz same here bud. I'd rather they take their time and deliver a complete game. Looking forwards to it.

@KundaliniRising333 well I'm a sucker for all things souls type and I do like a bit of a rogue/looter and this just ticks those boxes for me. Also its procedurally generated so its never the same run...and its only £20..watch a vid or 10 👍

@Fiendish-Beaver from what I can gather each run is about 20-40 mins long and are procedurally generated so its never the same. Loot looks like random drops. It's definitely aimed at people who have lots of time or only have an hour or so to spare. I've watched about a dozen YouTube vids and I've gotta have it.

@GirlVersusGame crimson desert will last you more than weeks. More like months. I've put it on the back burner for when those long winter months kick in and not because I got bored of it-i love it, but it's a huge undertaking and through out the spring and summer months there is too much golf to be playing and time to spend out doors touching grass with bear and boz. Epic game and one I'm very glad you are enjoying.

Crimson moon is a bit of a dark souls/dark siders rogue like. Its designed as a 2 player co-op online but can be played solo too. For me personally it looks amazing for the paltry £20 and I have until tomorrow to decide if I go for the standard edition or sump up the extra £12 for the deluxe version which gives you the dlc expansion later on that they have planned. I'll see how I feel in the morning.

I played and finished the first game although it took me a long time to get round to doing so. I enjoyed it a lot. I have the sequel (deluxe edition) but I have yet to play it. I don't care if aloy looks like a docker or anything else that's been deemed wrong about the games direction. What matters to me is that the game is a decent one and it appears it is. I will play this eventually but I'm in no mad rush.

I didn't participate in the boycott because I didn't want to. I played my ps5 Pro all week-mainly dirt 2.0 and EA wrc. I bought yet another zombie survivors because @GirlVersusGame made me and I've been playing that all weekend. Personally I thought it was a pointless exercise but kudos to those who did (give yourselves a big pat on the back) for showing Sony who's in charge.

Crimson moon for me first thing Tuesday morning so it's good to go as soon as I get home from work. Everything else can wait.

@Leinad7 I agree with you. All artists should be paid but there artists that don't receive royaltys anymore when their songs or jingles are used in adverts etc because they are now royalty free. I don't agree with it.

@Bot_Bot_69 it was a really nice gpu. It still is. My rig died (power supply went kaput) and when I fixed it my wife claimed it as her art work station when her lappy became to slow for what she needed. I recently tried dirt rally 3 on it with my T598 steering wheel and it was pretty good fun but Jesus I have been spoilt by the ps5's rapid loading times compared to the pc's HDD..

@Bot_Bot_69 it's actually 3.5 gig which is what all the furore was over. I think the other .5 gig was slightly slower thus rendering the gpu not technically 4 gig. I can't remember to be honest as it was over a decade ago.

@Bot_Bot_69 "AMD often play catchup with Nvidia." Once upon a time in a galaxy far,far away yes AMD played catch up with Nvidia but not for a long time now. AMD have been innovative in their own different way whereas Nvidia have become quite complacent. I'm not saying one is better than the other and my choice of gpu for my ancient pc was an Nvidia gtx970 (msi model.) At the time that gpu was stunning even with the memory controversy which was another thing that was blown way out of proportion. Horses for courses as they say.

So am I right in assuming that these filters are optional? You can turn them off yes? If so why is everybody getting their mankinis in a twist? Don't like them then turn them off. Easy mental traumas cured just like that and you can sleep again until you read tomorrow about how the next gta game won't run in 60fps even on a ps5 Pro.

Maybe it's a licensing deal? Sony has a lot of artists and I'll bet a lot of them could be royalty free which means Sony could license that music and make a tidy sum without having to pay the artists themselves. Just a thought.

Apart from the final fantasy ones I think the others are better. More detail and look more realistic. Everytime I see one of these articles I ask my wife what she thinks and seeing as she is an actual real artist I find her opinion to be most valued and she dosnt see anything wrong with it providing its used in a way that's constructive and has real value. She also agrees that they look better apart from the final fantasy ones.

The blackout is a joke. It was never going to achieve anything. If people really want a ps5 Pro or the ps6 they will pay whatever they are comfortable with. Its their money to do with what they please and they are demonstrating this because the ps5 Pro is selling out according to this article. I've not seen one boycott (in gaming) that's worked. Not one. Hogwarts legacy? Nothing came of that except causing a lot of arguments and pushsquare didn't help much either. There's always going to be people calling for a boycott of something and social media just gives these clowns too much of a voice.

I've got hell is us in the queue and crimson moon drops on Tuesday so that's me covered. I'll probably grab sniper elite as I have the others.

Well i had plans to play golf this morning but the weather is shocking so i decided to have an epic dirt rally 2.0 session but then @GirlVersusGame made me purchase yet another zombie survivors game and I can't stop playing the bloody thing.. if anybody likes their vampire survivors type twin stick shooters then this will definitely be right up your alley.
