PowerWash Simulator 2 is planned for launch in 2025, and while we've yet to see a firm release date, we now know just how much it'll cost you to play the upcoming sequel.
In fact, developer FuturLab even went so far as to release a new trailer for the game, specifically to announce the price tag.
For anyone worried, fret not. The new game will be set at the same price point as the first PowerWash Simulator — that's $24.99/€24.99/£19.99.
It's a cheeky little tactic, this — announcing a low cost for your game while AAA publishers toy with the idea of $80. Funny trailer, too, sort of leading you to think it'll be pricey, only for the reveal to come as somewhat of a surprise.
Here's a statement regarding the price from chief operating officer, Chris Mehers:
We’re in a fortunate position because of the success of PowerWash Simulator and its passionate community to keep the price of our sequel as accessible as possible. There are so many personal anecdotes of how the game has helped our players that we wanted to ensure we could continue to widely offer the experience at a competitive price point.
Anyway, if you're a fan of the first game, odds are you aren't too worried about the price anyway, because you're already in for the sequel.
Speaking of PowerWash Simulator 2, we recently got some hands-on time with it, and it's making some smart additions and refinements while keeping that wonderful satisfying core.

At 25 dollars its a day one buy. My wife spent over 200 hrs playing the first one.
This one makes its real money on DLC. Think I've spent roughly £35 on 6 packs, each of which has about 90 mins of playthrough time to complete.
Is it? There's plenty of AAA games I'd prefer at that price than this.
£20 is a steal for the amount of enjoyment I get out of Powerwash. Day 1 baybee!

Wasnt interested in the first game until i played it through Plus and it was actually very satisfying to just clean stuff. The sequel will be day 1 for me.

Day One and i’ll buy every DLC they charge for just to support them.
This is 100% coming to ps+ at some point. Would have made a very good day 1 title as the potentially never ending DLC is where they'll make a killing so getting the base game into as many hands as possible will aide them.
Weirdly, making it a free-ro-play title probably would have been an excellent move for them from a business perspective for the same reasons.
This was going to be a definite buy anyway, but it's nice to know it won't break the bank.

Loved the 1st game thought it was a joke of a game till I played it didn't take long for me change my mind now ill be buying this game definitely day one

@Bluemoon2008 I'd argue it's well worth the asking price and even if it later comes to Plus, I won't feel like the 20 quid was wasted for allowing me to play on release 🤷

@Skyliner no question it will provide value for those buying day 1. Just saying for those that like to be more frugal, myself included, i'd label this as a sure bet for a future addition to a subscription service.
