Sony will release two limited edition Ghost of Yotei console bundles to mark the release of Sucker Punch’s stunning new open world game.

These incredible hardware designs will include imagery of the eponymous Yotei and the surrounding area of Ezo, which is better known as Hokkaido today.

The first bundle comes in gold, and has been inspired by the Japanese art form known as “kintsugi”, which is a traditional process used to repair old ceramics with lacquer and gold. This will be available at retailers worldwide.

Here’s a closer look:

Meanwhile, the second system comes in black and is inspired by “Sumi-e”, another traditional Japanese art form involving black ink. This will be available exclusively through PlayStation Direct.

Again, here’s a better look:

Both consoles will come with a custom PS5 Slim with a disc drive, as well as a matching DualSense controller, and a digital copy of Ghost of Yotei. You’ll also get all of the pre-order content, including an original in-game mask and a set of seven PSN avatars.

If you already own a PS5, then you’ll be able to buy face plates based on the gold artwork for both the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro from PlayStation Direct. Both versions of the DualSense will also be available to purchase individually as well.

And here’s what creative director Jason Connell has to say about the designs:

“Our inspiration for this design came straight from one of the core aspects within the game: a deep focus on exploration. This includes the hand-drawn icons Atsu marks on her map, a kintsugi-style effect pulled from her Ghost mask, and brushstrokes reminiscent of her Sumi-e paintings. The towering Mount Yōtei is included at the center of the console design to pull it all together, and Atsu is spotlighted on the DualSense controller. Each of these elements were thoughtfully woven into both the console and controller designs.”

There’s a lot to digest here, so here’s a breakdown of everything and where it’ll be available, courtesy of the PS Blog:
