I am so psyched right now!!! What a thriller of a game!!! Finally the deflate-triots are not going to the Superbowl! If your in the area, drinks are on me haha!
Will card weekend! Hoping Tennessee will knock new England out tonight and we can finally have a Patriots free Superbowl!
When I'm not watching that I'll get back on the $20 copy of medievil I picked up. Man that game is incredibly difficult at times. I swear PS1 and ps2 games were harder. As a much younger man on those 2 consoles I would get incredibly frustrated at losing, and I'm near that frustration level 20 something years later. The game has no checkpoints, so after getting to the end of the level and trying to take down the boss, you die, you start over. I swear we've been spoiled the last two generations. At least I'll get my $20 worth out of it!
Hahah yup. That's ok. I'm just picking on them. I love push square. While I don't always tend to agree with their review scores, it's still the best ps website out there!
I'm not a big fan of RPGs but.... The fact that this isn't turn based combat like the original, coupled with the amazing visuals, I might actually have to get this game!!!
I stand corrected... Just did a little research on the ending. After the credits rolled I stopped playing. But apparently if you talk to 'that guy', after the credits, it does pave the way nicely for a sequel. I'm glad I looked into that.
I think you summed up days gone almost perfectly in that paragraph. Only thing is it's in my personal top 3 for 2019. It's glitchy, buggy, repetitive at times, etc. but if you can look past all of that, it is truly a diamond in the rough. I hope there is a more polished sequel, although with the way it ended, I really don't know how they could make a storyline for a sequel...
In terms of games that changed the industry in the past decade, I got to go with the last of us. It definitely set a new bar in terms of storytelling and character likeness. If we're going with my favorite game of the decade than the last of us would definitely be in my top five. Such an amazing game. I'm sure part 2 will take things to a whole new level. I absolutely can't wait for the sequel
The only reason I have ps plus is for multiplayer. I just look at the "free games" as a bonus. That said, I thought this year was horrible. I never bothered with the PS3 or Vita games, so that didn't bother me. But the big games that were offered I pretty much already had. Downloaded 6 games on plus this year, played maybe 3 of them. Oh well... I really hope with the PS5 release, they change the model of PS plus a little bit.
Alright pushsquare.... I agree with you guys 90% of the time. But between this article and yesterdays list of resident evil games ranked, I'm concerned you guys have taken up a serious drug problem.... It's the only thing that can explain this nonsense! Merry Christmas to all!
Finished days gone and I miss it already! Picked up COD MW and medievil for cheap! Gonna play COD MW for some mindless fun for a while, even the wife is getting in on playing it!
Them Steelers gotta win out to make wild card, Jets on Sunday should be a breeze, but Baltimore next weekend will be tough. I wish you guys luck! Tomlin deserves coach of the year regardless of playoffs or not. Killing it with the duck, no juju, hardly any Conner etc....
I love you push square, but this is possibly the most backwards, controversial, mixed up, ridiculous list ever. I'll just assume someone spiked your eggnog before writing this article!
Days gone! I'm definitely getting towards the end of the story. That's as specific as I can be without spoilers. I love the idea of an open world zombie game, but this one was definitely short of perfection. It took me a few hours to get into the story, learn the clunky combat and figure out how to navigate the (beautiful) world. Then I was really sucked in for quite a while, until the story took a weird turn... It's a good game, but my GOTY is still going to RE2. That game is really polished!
When I'm done with days gone, I'm torn as to what to play next! I think I want to play a game that's not open world, and then jump back into another open world. But at the same time I really want to see what all the hype is on death stranding. So I'll either pick that up, COD MW, or medievil.
It will be interesting to see how they balance state of play announcements and the game awards announcements all within such a close time frame of each other. All I know is, I got a lot of money wrapped up in 2020 on PS4 games!
1) new syphon filter game 2) new socom game for PS4 3) new skate game 4) new ratchet and clank 5) timesplitters! 6) brand new crash bandicoot game! 7) new grab Turismo reveal 8) something VR related 9) new Jak and daxter 10) remake of NFL blitz
This is just my Xmas list, nothing more to see here.... As for what's gonna be revealed, well who the hell knows???
I've always been interested in this game. If I can clear my backlog before spring (when work really goes back in to full swing) I might pick this up. The first game I mean!
I will always like the idea of the psp/Vita. I still have my Vita and will occasionally boot it up, but I don't know why. I find it extremely uncomfortable to play. Hurts my thumbs after playing for a half hour or so. Anyone else have this problem??
First ps game: the first game I every played was gran Turismo 2. My best friend's dad had a PS1 and it was the first time I had ever laid eyes on PlayStation. Needless to say I was blown away and bought a PS1 a few months later.
First ps console: PS1. The Sega Genesis collected alot of dust after that. Haha.
Favorite ps game: assuming they mean throughout all consoles? If that's the case, I would have to say socom 2 us Navy seals. Soooo much time playing that game online.
Favorite console: I would have to say it's a tie between ps2 and PS4.
I didn't have that one. Mine had legacy of Kain, Spyro, twisted metal, metal gear solid. I actually had a few of them because at the time I was subscribed to PlayStation magazine and they sent a demo disc every few months
Oh man, I still remember the day I got my PS1. My younger brother and I were so excited. We couldn't afford any games but I had a few demo discs for a while that we played to death. Then over the years we acquired so many games! Some of our favorites were syphon filter, resident evil 1,2, and 3. Tony hawk 1 and 2, silent Hill, Spyro, crash bandicoot, twisted metal, metal gear solid, Tekken 3, gran Turismo 1 and 2, ape escape, parappa, driver.... The list goes on.... Good times. Happy 25th PlayStation! You know how much money I've spent on you in 25 years??!!??!!
I completely agree with you. Competition is good and very welcomed. It forces developers to really dig deep and push out great products.
I guess I wasn't clear in my original comment. My bad. The point I was trying to get across is that the whole "war" thing just seems irrelevant these days. It seems like both companies have a clear vision of what they're doing and who they are trying to please.
I personally could care less who sells the most consoles, games, etc. As long as Sony keeps pumping out these damn good games I'm happy!
I hate to be that guy, but is the Sony vs Microsoft "war" even relevant anymore? This generation had a clear winner, and looking at Sony's recent developer acquisitions, the inevitable sequels to big games from these past few years, and the psvr2 on its way, can Microsoft really "compete"?
Took down a massive 40 foot tree for a client yesterday, so if I can get that cut up and hauled away today, then I will be drinking beer and playing days gone! Followed by more beer and football (ahem, I mean NFL, for you non-americans haha) tomorrow. Hope you fellow Americans had a nice Thanksgiving!
You are clearly well informed and have had conversations with developers in the past. What are your honest thoughts about the psvr2? Do you believe technology has improved enough to make a wireless headset?? I'm curious to your thought on it.
Not to mention that the launch games that have already sold really well by that point, are also significantly cheaper. It's a win win, but I get more impatient the older I get!
I didn't pick up a PS4 until after the slim came out. It was sometime in 2016. I'm glad I waited, not only because it was cheaper, but alot of bugs had been worked out over a few years. Might do the same with the PS5. However, if they have a ridiculously good launch lineup, I probably won't be able to hold out longer than a few months. My wallet is hoping launch games suck haha
@playstation1995 Last time I had a red bull was years ago and mixed it with vodka. A few of those and things got fuzzy haha. Can't stand the taste of any energy drinks at all. Disgusting
I love the psvr! Bought mine a few years ago. Just wish I had more time to play it. The cables are kind of a pain in the you know what. I can't leave mine plugged in as I have children and don't want it to get damaged. So it kinda sucks having to set it up Everytime I play, but whatever, worth it. Long story short, I don't give a flying f what Microsoft thinks about VR. All I know is Sony is putting alot of resources into developing great VR games and I couldn't be happier. Bring on the VR2!
Holy crap. There's a trip down memory lane. My younger brother and I have hundreds of hours playing thps 1 + 2 as kids. Uh oh.... I can hear the soundtrack coming back to my head haha.
I would pick up 1,2, and 3 if they remade them. I do hope they add an online mode so that I can still play with my brother and relive those memories. Unfortunately we both live in different states.
This still won't do Justice though, we need a "Skate" game for PS4 or PS5
Haha idk dog, alot can change between now and week 17, but if your Steelers do make playoffs, please destroy the deflate-triots for me! You got my support.
