Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 305

NYJetsfan123

Will card weekend! Hoping Tennessee will knock new England out tonight and we can finally have a Patriots free Superbowl!

When I'm not watching that I'll get back on the $20 copy of medievil I picked up. Man that game is incredibly difficult at times. I swear PS1 and ps2 games were harder. As a much younger man on those 2 consoles I would get incredibly frustrated at losing, and I'm near that frustration level 20 something years later. The game has no checkpoints, so after getting to the end of the level and trying to take down the boss, you die, you start over. I swear we've been spoiled the last two generations. At least I'll get my $20 worth out of it!

Re: Game of the Year: Best PS4 Games of 2019 - #10 - #6

NYJetsfan123

I think you summed up days gone almost perfectly in that paragraph. Only thing is it's in my personal top 3 for 2019. It's glitchy, buggy, repetitive at times, etc. but if you can look past all of that, it is truly a diamond in the rough. I hope there is a more polished sequel, although with the way it ended, I really don't know how they could make a storyline for a sequel...

Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite PlayStation Game of the Decade?

NYJetsfan123

In terms of games that changed the industry in the past decade, I got to go with the last of us. It definitely set a new bar in terms of storytelling and character likeness. If we're going with my favorite game of the decade than the last of us would definitely be in my top five. Such an amazing game. I'm sure part 2 will take things to a whole new level. I absolutely can't wait for the sequel

Re: PS Plus Members Received Nearly $900 Worth of Games in 2019

NYJetsfan123

The only reason I have ps plus is for multiplayer. I just look at the "free games" as a bonus. That said, I thought this year was horrible. I never bothered with the PS3 or Vita games, so that didn't bother me. But the big games that were offered I pretty much already had. Downloaded 6 games on plus this year, played maybe 3 of them. Oh well... I really hope with the PS5 release, they change the model of PS plus a little bit.

Re: Guide: Best Resident Evil Games Ranked

@playstation1995

Them Steelers gotta win out to make wild card, Jets on Sunday should be a breeze, but Baltimore next weekend will be tough. I wish you guys luck! Tomlin deserves coach of the year regardless of playoffs or not. Killing it with the duck, no juju, hardly any Conner etc....

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 302

NYJetsfan123

Days gone! I'm definitely getting towards the end of the story. That's as specific as I can be without spoilers. I love the idea of an open world zombie game, but this one was definitely short of perfection. It took me a few hours to get into the story, learn the clunky combat and figure out how to navigate the (beautiful) world. Then I was really sucked in for quite a while, until the story took a weird turn... It's a good game, but my GOTY is still going to RE2. That game is really polished!

When I'm done with days gone, I'm torn as to what to play next! I think I want to play a game that's not open world, and then jump back into another open world. But at the same time I really want to see what all the hype is on death stranding. So I'll either pick that up, COD MW, or medievil.

Re: Random: Developers Across the Globe Celebrate 25 Years of PlayStation

NYJetsfan123

Answer to the questions as follows:

First ps game: the first game I every played was gran Turismo 2. My best friend's dad had a PS1 and it was the first time I had ever laid eyes on PlayStation. Needless to say I was blown away and bought a PS1 a few months later.

First ps console: PS1. The Sega Genesis collected alot of dust after that. Haha.

Favorite ps game: assuming they mean throughout all consoles? If that's the case, I would have to say socom 2 us Navy seals. Soooo much time playing that game online.

Favorite console: I would have to say it's a tie between ps2 and PS4.

Re: Sony to Celebrate PlayStation's 25th Anniversary All This Week

NYJetsfan123

Oh man, I still remember the day I got my PS1. My younger brother and I were so excited. We couldn't afford any games but I had a few demo discs for a while that we played to death. Then over the years we acquired so many games! Some of our favorites were syphon filter, resident evil 1,2, and 3. Tony hawk 1 and 2, silent Hill, Spyro, crash bandicoot, twisted metal, metal gear solid, Tekken 3, gran Turismo 1 and 2, ape escape, parappa, driver.... The list goes on.... Good times. Happy 25th PlayStation! You know how much money I've spent on you in 25 years??!!??!!

Re: Microsoft Wants to 'Surprise Sony' with Xbox Scarlett, Devkits are Reportedly Rare and 'Nowhere Near Final'

NYJetsfan123

@throwmeaname

I completely agree with you. Competition is good and very welcomed. It forces developers to really dig deep and push out great products.

I guess I wasn't clear in my original comment. My bad. The point I was trying to get across is that the whole "war" thing just seems irrelevant these days. It seems like both companies have a clear vision of what they're doing and who they are trying to please.

I personally could care less who sells the most consoles, games, etc. As long as Sony keeps pumping out these damn good games I'm happy!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 300

NYJetsfan123

300! Wow!

Took down a massive 40 foot tree for a client yesterday, so if I can get that cut up and hauled away today, then I will be drinking beer and playing days gone! Followed by more beer and football (ahem, I mean NFL, for you non-americans haha) tomorrow. Hope you fellow Americans had a nice Thanksgiving!

Re: This Time Next Year, We'll Be Playing PS5

NYJetsfan123

I didn't pick up a PS4 until after the slim came out. It was sometime in 2016. I'm glad I waited, not only because it was cheaper, but alot of bugs had been worked out over a few years. Might do the same with the PS5. However, if they have a ridiculously good launch lineup, I probably won't be able to hold out longer than a few months. My wallet is hoping launch games suck haha

Re: Shuhei Yoshida Shuts Down Xbox Boss' Comments on VR

NYJetsfan123

I love the psvr! Bought mine a few years ago. Just wish I had more time to play it. The cables are kind of a pain in the you know what. I can't leave mine plugged in as I have children and don't want it to get damaged. So it kinda sucks having to set it up Everytime I play, but whatever, worth it. Long story short, I don't give a flying f what Microsoft thinks about VR. All I know is Sony is putting alot of resources into developing great VR games and I couldn't be happier. Bring on the VR2!

Re: Rumour: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Remakes Incoming, Says Infamous Insider

NYJetsfan123

Holy crap. There's a trip down memory lane. My younger brother and I have hundreds of hours playing thps 1 + 2 as kids. Uh oh.... I can hear the soundtrack coming back to my head haha.

I would pick up 1,2, and 3 if they remade them. I do hope they add an online mode so that I can still play with my brother and relive those memories. Unfortunately we both live in different states.

This still won't do Justice though, we need a "Skate" game for PS4 or PS5
