Beside the ridiculous launch, I am enjoying bfv surprisingly more than I thought I would. Bf4 will always be my favorite, and bf1 was ok, but something about bfv is really clicking with me. I don't even feel the need for more game modes or maps at the moment. What are your thoughts on it?

Great review. Just picked this up today and it just may be my favorite vr game since Moss. There's one thing you forgot to mention in the review (IMO), the soundtrack! It's a really great sound design that fits extremely well into each level.

Why is everyone complaining about the story length?? It is obviously not the point of the game (referring to the story). Why would a game take 5+ years to make for a 3 hour campaign. This game (tempted to call it a device or app at this point) goes well beyond a story mode.

"Create your own damn story mode" should be the slogan for Dreams

I'm not even sure if Spiderman is popular in Japan... Personally, I'm not a superhero or comic book fan and I bought Spiderman day 1, and to quote Cosmo Kramer himself, "I'm loving every minute of it!!!"

I occasionally get the itch to buy a switch and then I realize that the only reason I want it is for Mario kart. Can't justify the purchase for one game. Nothing else interests me...

Agree! I'm not a photo mode person but this style looks really interesting! I won't spend more than 20 minutes with it but it seems like a really creative spin on it for the 'photographers'!

I seem to recall Sammy saying when he got the code for the first 2 hours of gameplay, he replied to someone saying "it didn't quite feel like a 10/10". We'll see how the rest of the game treats him.
Regardless of score I can not wait for this!

Nearly gave up on my Vita the other day and almost sold it. Haven't been able to find any good games for it in a looooooong time. But I had completely forgotten about remote play! So I've been playing watchdogs (been in my backlog for years!) on the Vita and kinda enjoying it. Which is funny because I hated it on the PS4...

I'm gonna make a game in dreams called "The Long Awaited Game With No Release Date"..... Gonna be epic

It's hard to argue with that. He really is an absolute beast of a receiver. My go to guy in fantasy football every year (if I get to draft first haha). He's definitely looking at hall of fame in years to come.

I really enjoyed the switch to frostbite. The game seems so much smoother and less 'choppy'

At this time, can you say whether or not this year's Longshot mode is longer than Madden 18's? I enjoyed 18's but it only took a few hours to complete

Each years new Madden gives you instant access to play as the new years players that were picked in the NFL draft a few months ago. Also with the addition of Longshot mode you get a new story to play every year. And you also get new commentary.

Might not seem like a lot to some, but to hardcore Madden fans such as myself, it's a lot and worthy of picking up a new copy every year

I seem to recall playing the demo of this last winter when I bought my psvr. I think it was on the demo disc that came with the headset. If so, it was a pretty fun game.

That sucks. It was a really nice addition to Madden 18. Not a lot of replay value but fun none the less.

Are you excited for the start of NFL season? I recall you being a Giants fan? I'm interested in seeing how well they utilize saquon barkley. Great acquisition IMO. He seems like a 3 down back and top it off with a healthy Odell, Eli will have plenty of weapons on offense. Gonna be needed in a tough NFC east division

I hate when people mention socom... My favorite PS2 game ever. Great times playing multiplayer. I really wish someone would make a socom 2 remaster for PS4. Trying not to get my hopes up now! Thanks a lot...

Run dmc was where it was at! I miss them. I'm from ny as well, and all these names you throw around got me thinking of the old days!

Just finished God of war a few days ago. And after finishing it I must say that I am extremely dissapointed and bummed. And not because I disliked it, in fact it may be the greatest single player PS4 game I've ever played. I'm bummed because I beat it and don't have the attention span (for any game) to go back and play it again. Unbelievable game. Definitely a goty contender. I enjoyed the story more than H:ZD and that's saying a lot!

Anyway I just picked up a cheap copy of resident evil origins. Gonna play 1, (never cared for 0) and see how the remake is. This will hopefully keep me content for a while as I (impatiently) wait for the re2 remake next year!

I had a similar situation. It said I purchased it but wouldn't let me download.

So... I put the crash bandicoot disc in and let it update. Then after it installed I started the game up again. On the main menu it should say at the bottom, future tense now available. In the warp room you should see a little platform that you can jump on to, and that will take you to the 51st level

I don't see it fair to call Sony a villain in this situation. Regardless of what company (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo) they are all businesses at the end of the day. And as a business owner myself, you sometimes have to make a tough decision for the company in order to keep providing for the customer. Regardless of what it might be.

And as far as "the rest of the world can enjoy playing fun games together...." comment, I don't think Sony players are missing out on playing fun games. To the best of my knowledge , there is no shortage of players on these games that other consoles are providing cross play with, that PlayStation Network is "missing out on".

It just seems like a simple business decision to me. And I agree with it completely. And not because I dislike anybody who plays Nintendo or Microsoft products. That mentality is ridiculous to me.

I never really could understand the mentality behind why the lack of crossplay bothered people.

I wouldn't want to overhear the chat about which console is better anyway. Cause everyone knows PS4 is the clear winner anyway 😋

On a personal level I could give a flying crap. My buddies don't play games and when I play online I play with my 2 younger brothers who are also PS4 owners.

In terms of a financial standpoint, I think it makes perfect sense that they don't allow crossplay. They are clearly winning this generation of consoles so why threaten to hurt sales or network subscriptions (even if it is a small amount) by allowing crossplay. I doubt anyone could pull up the data but I'm sure there is a massive amount of people who own Xbox and/or switch and still bought a PS4 solely for the amazing list of Sony exclusives.

Seems like a no brainer to me. Win win.
