I love the Saints Row series but have come to realize I completely despise its fans. This franchise has always been "woke" and anyone playing them under different pretenses was entirely missing the point. It's disappointing that's what the narrative around this game became because the game itself is fine.

Too expensive to replace these days, I'd be too scared of dropping mine tbh but all my respect to this king 👑 repping the 1000 model too like a champ.

It looked fantastic from day one. Hope it's not just one of those tech demo games PSVR was filled to the brim with.

Only played the first one for a bit but what I played was fantastic! Never got back to it but glad the series has done so well!

@KundaliniRising333 was just about to say this. This new version was announced in September 2020. Before Cyberpunk came out. Absolutely ridiculous.

The Yakuza Remastered Collection on PS4 is an astonishing $19.23 in Australia and probably less in other territories. $6.41 per game. Insanely good value. That's my pick of the week.

If it's like the Uncharted 4 + Lost Legacy bundle and it's only a small upgrade fee from PS4 to the native PS5 version I'm happy to give it a shot. Otherwise, nah, think I'll be good.

People really wanna see this game fail, huh? Weird. I think the game's fine. Characters are weak but the gameplay is still fun. As a longtime Saints Row fan I'm pretty stoked with it

Count me out. This should have been a slam dunk easy dose of goodwill for EA and yet they choose to bungle it instead. Disappointed but not surprised.

Spirit Hunter Death Mark and Spirit Hunter NG are some of the most underrated horror games on PS4 so I cannot wait for this!

Anyone into horror or visual novels at all (Danganronpa, Zero Escape particularly) would really enjoy this. The only thing is it's best with a guide! I'm so happy this series gets to continue 🥲

Those environments and animations look absolutely amateur. Why are the characters and the environment two totally different art styles? I'd say they should go back to the drawing board with those clashing graphics but it honestly doesn't feel planned at all. Sonic can and has pulled off gorgeous looking levels before (Unleashed and Generations STILL look good because of their unique stylised look). That Breath of the Wild ripoff soundtrack is stale too.

I was really hoping after 2 great movies they'd get their act together for the games from now on, it's really disappointing that Sega just keeps finding new lows for the series.

Okay, sold. I was only thinking of getting Extra but will be getting Premium (Deluxe here in Aus) the second it comes out bc this is fantastic. I'm shocked! I really hope there isn't just a few PS1 games with trophies at launch and then it gets dropped afterwards.

I love how the IGN review is like "yeah there was a ton of content I totally missed, anyway this game gets a 10" lol. Now I'm not one of those "werz da REEL game jurnalizm" types but reviews like that aren't very helpful to me. Not that a reviewer should always 100% a game, but if there's entire modes a reviewer hasn't tried, it doesn't feel right giving the game a score yet. Definitely the right decision from Push Square to give the game some more days before a final score.

@nessisonett 1000% Bandai Namco should have given reviewers more time. A week for a game of this scope is just completely bonkers, bordering on unethical.

Oh gosh. I'd be trembling in my boots if I were Lucid Games right now. Independent studios seem hard enough to keep going as it is, let alone when that studio's major next game is unexpectedly ripped from them. Ouch.

Oh my gosh MARCH? That's way too soon, this game's gonna bomb hard. Love you Platinum, please live long enough to give us Bayonetta 3, and 4 and a million more!

Hope it's not on-rails like the glimpse suggests. Some games suit it on the platform don't get me wrong, but I'd really like to explore the Horizon world in full VR.

That tail end of its life where it got fantastic Japanese hit after hit was also amazing. Danganronpa and all its sequels, Trails of Cold Steel, Steins Gate! Unforgettable games.

@slips666 yup! If only. Unfortunately she seems to have a whole lot of creative input on seemingly every Harry Potter related product. Will be buying it used because I think the game will be great, I just can't bring myself to support that woman. Vote with your wallet etc etc

This and Alan Wake were my favourite games from this event. So excited. Looks slightly camp/cheesy, but I'm all in, inject it in my veins!!

Will grab a used copy of this in a year or 2 when it's cheap. This should have been an easy win for Rockstar. If it took like 2 weeks max to fix so many of these issues, why were they there at all? Why was it not delayed? Boggles the mind.

The old versions of the games should be put back on PSN, too. I don't like being cynical but this is an astonishingly poor effort, Rockstar. Congrats for doing the bare minimum and patching it, I guess.

Never been my kind of game, but if I was a fan I'd absolutely wait for reviews before touching this one. This game's clearly had a MESSY dev cycle.

Good for Volition, though a six month delay is quite massive, hope production's going okay. What gets delayed next I wonder? My money's on Gran Turismo or Horizon, as they're too close together atm for such massive PS5 blockbusters.

I am SO glad this is turning into a "what everyone's playing on their Vitas at the moment" thread. I'm loving Superbeat Xonic at the moment, awesome rhythm game. Reminiscent of the Persona dancing games but definitely more brutal. Absolutely loving it, underrated gem on the most underrated console.

This feels so ridiculously anti-Devolver. Always thought they would remain independent. They always seemed, at least from a distance, so against the idea of being gobbled up by another company. Not an outright acquisition but still feels weird.

And sure, totally my fault for assuming to know the company, but their marketing was damn good at presenting them as off-beat, weird, and proud of it. Good for them I guess though, get that bag etc etc

This is so disappointing. I've never even been a fan of this series, never got to try them, but this just makes me feel really bad for its fans. We're in the middle of this JRPG renaissance with stellar titles coming left and right, and this series is still lagging behind. It doesn't look awful, just aggressively 6/10 material. Hope it's okay for fans at least.

Love this game, excited it'll get a bigger audience! Deserves it, best 3D platformer in a while.

Instant mission restarts is fantastic news but GIVE US GYRO ON PLAYSTATION! Wish this was more normalised on PlayStation given how great it works on Switch, wouldn't play those games any other way on NS.

Literally finished watching Midnight Mass a few hours ago. Loved every second of it and only started it because I saw some random Kojima tweet. Makes absolute sense why he loved it. Characters getting into some fascinating conversations in that show. Squid Game's up next for me, but man it's gonna be hard to follow that up. Oh and um, this game looks cool too I guess! (but also like, watch Midnight Mass.)

Enjoyed this article but I think it got distracted with the whole "left stick to move" prompt appearing or not appearing. I think this accessibility issue goes beyond just the controls and extends into mechanics which I thought the article would talk about based on the title. I find it really hard to start games in certain genres when they have a million side-systems and other mechanics that they just assume you know so you can maximise your character's effectiveness. Games with all that depth and no explanation of it, are of absolutely no interest to me anymore. I don't have the time anymore to learn all that stuff, as great as they may be, and if the devs don't want to explain it to me then I'll pass lol.

I've been playing the remake of the first game since the trailer for this sequel leaked. It's really fun! Some weird difficulty spikes but still enjoyable. Day 1 for me with this one. To think we got both this and that Spongebob trailer... Iconic! Agh! Cultural reset!

Honestly, I wouldn't argue THQ Nordic had the best showcase this year but it was definitely my favourite. Certainly not everything appealed to me but the devs clearly liked talking about their games and when they had a fluff CGI trailer they would still show in-engine footage after.

Concerning that it's last gen only, hope it's not a low budget cashgrab. It being done by the devs of the great BFBB remake gives me confidence though.

Genuinely soul-crushing. This is probably gonna sound melodramatic but LBP Vita was a massive part of my childhood so hearing it's going away is just... Ouch. So many precious memories with that game and some unforgettable levels. A YouTube channel called LittleBigPlaye has some clips of some of the fantastic levels from that game (Temple Swoop, Cyberland, and Gold Fever were highlights), but even then that was only a fraction of the enjoyment that game gave me.

I hate when completely baseless rumours like this catch on. And then the origin of the rumour is non-committal so they can conveniently dodge blame when it turns out to be complete nonsense.

No way an inFamous game is announced this week. Fingers crossed I have to eat my words though because I'd love one 🤞

Interesting! I don't love the art style (reminds me of Fortnite and Agents of Mayhem, which I thought they'd do everything they could to step away from) but I'm a sucker for this series so I'll be there day 1.

Genuinely loved Undead and Undressed but this just looks like a worse version of that. I'll pass. A shame that they haven't put out a follow-up to the second one, and we got this and that weird spinoff instead.

I am stunned and shocked to see Powdered Toast Man in anything in 2021. I love it.

The game desperately needs a remake, but it's nonetheless a classic. Top-notch soundtrack too. Until that remake happens I'll Burn My Dread, holding my Deep Breath Deep Breath that it comes out and fills me with Joy.

Despite the worst name I've seen in years (Gosh I wish they just called it "AI: Nirvana") I'm always excited for these kinds of games, particularly if Uchikoshi is involved. Sign me up!
