If you already own Hitman 3, then it’s a good day: you’re getting all of the content from Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 for free. Beginning from 26th January, developer IO Interactive will rename the third entry in Agent 47's most-recent assassination adventure to Hitman World of Assassination. If you’re yet to purchase the game, you’ll be able to buy everything in one go starting from the aforementioned date.

This means, moving forwards, there’ll be two products on the PS Store: Hitman World of Assassination and Hitman World of Assassination Deluxe Pack. The former will retail for $69.99 and will include all maps and content from Hitman 1 Game of the Year Edition, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3. The latter is a DLC pack which will include the Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack, Hitman 3 Seven Deadly Sins Collection, and Hitman 2 Expansion Pass. That’ll cost around $29.99.

So, there will be just two products available, massively streamlining the somewhat complicated array of purchasing options available that have plagued Hitman for some time. As a result, the original Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 will be delisted from the PS Store, although you’ll still be able to download and play them in their current guise if you already own them. And all of their content will be included in Hitman 3 for free moving forwards, as outlined above.

Ultimately, if you’re yet to play these games, then the newly renamed Hitman World of Assassination will keep you occupied for hundreds of hours with its impressive 21 maps. And with the rogue-lite inspired Freelancer mode still to come in 2023, it’s looking like another fruitful year for gaming’s most prestigious slaphead assassin.
