@Bez87 Yakuza is a much more popular than franchise than Shenmue though. Not to mention a lot of memorable moments and the amazing soundtrack across the franchise.
Black Flag is one of my favorite AC games and I finished the story but was never interested in the multiplayer. It's why I never got the platinum because it has several multiplayer trophies. I hope the remake removes the MP
Highly unlikely because I don't like the gameplay loop of both games which is why I never got into it. I do enjoy watching people play it but experiencing the game myself is a different story.
I'm glad that Square is aware of Expedition's success since that game is so good. But I've also enjoyed the action combat of FF15, 16, and Rebirth. The only turn-based FF games I've played were 7 and the remaster of 8 but still had a good time with those. So I don't mind if the next installment is back to turn based as long as the game is good.
Good to see this game getting a lot of good reviews but unfortunately, it is not my kind of game. I didn't enjoy the gameplay of the first so I knew the 2nd game wouldn't interest me either. The cutscenes and graphics are great so I'll give the devs credit for that. Sam's model is also a lot better than the first game. Like I said earlier, I don't like the gameplay at all so I won't be spending $70 on it.
Yeah, the story was easily the weakest part about the game. Thankfully the characters, KR voiceover, soundtrack, and gameplay made it up in my opinion since I still had a great time with the game. Hopefully the sequel will have a better story.
Really glad I saved $60 at the start since I wasn't hyped for this in the first place. And I've seen people compare this to cyberpunk which is fair. Both launched with bugs and issues but at least cyberpunk was actually fun and had good gameplay and a good story unlike Mindseye.
@Fishnpeas I personally thought that this game had very few good parts. The only thing I liked was the cutscenes and voice acting. The story sounds like a generic sci-fi plot and the gameplay is quite bad.
I hope they don't do an Until Dawn where the movie and game share the same title but the premise is completely different. I loved that game but didn't care for the movie. Hopefully phasmophobia is better
I will miss Yuri Lowenthal as Yosuke since it what made him such an iconic character in P4 (either version). Atlus seems to be doing a recast for remakes of their games, most notably Persona 3 Reload. That game got an entire recast of the SEES party members and not everyone was on board. Personally, I really liked the new VAs and thought they did a good job. But I'm glad that the original ones weren't gone since they did voice some characters in the P3 remake.
If the recasting of a P4 remake is just as good as Reload's, I'm honestly fine with the decision. My one hope for the remake is that atlus puts in a system like shift/baton pass in the game since it really needs that. Not having the option to pass a turn to another member after one of them got a 1 More was painful
Very glad I decided to play part 2 in 2020 (although I didn't like the story that much unlike the first game), since I haven't heard a lot of good things about the show. So overall, the game provided me with a better experience than season 2 will so I don't think I'll be watching it. Season 1 was really good though
For me, the only things worth getting with the points were the wallet funds. And since I stopped renewing my PS+ subscription, I don't earn points anymore. I just don't think essential is that worth to me and I'd rather use that $80 towards a new game or BP in gacha games that I play.
PS5 - Expedition 33 is my main game until I get the plat. The only other games installed on it are HSR and ZZZ but I'm only doing their dailies until 3.3 releases next week for HSR.
As someone that never played the original oblivion, I'm very much looking forward to playing this. I started with Skyrim and that was a very good game despite the main quest not being as good as the side quests
Honestly, I'm pretty happy with Shadows winning game of the month since I've been having a lot of fun in the game despite issues. The gameplay, gear, cutscenes and the season changing has been pretty good overall. I also went with immersion mode and decided to not turn on canon mode since I don't mind the dialogue choices. My main issue with the game is the side quest system since a lot of them are just killing members of a named group and the kill 25/50/100 enemies of a certain type per region and there's 9 of them. One of them wasn't so bad but some others can take several season resets. I'd also give this game an 8/10 since I like the game overall. Plus, this was the only March release I was excited for since I'm a big fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise
I'm glad that Shadows is doing well so far for Ubisoft since they really needed a win after 2024 was not a good year for them (Skull and Bones then Outlaws). Despite all the controversies surrounding the latest game in the Assassin's Creed franchise, it has been very enjoyable to play despite some issues.
I started playing it as soon as it released on the 19th and put 12 hours in so far. The gameplay has been solid so far and the cutscenes are a step above Mirage. There's some minor bugs but overall I'm enjoying it a lot over Valhalla since I skipped Mirage. Ubisoft really did a great job with this game and the 2 delays were worth the wait. Immersion mode is also good since I loved the Japanese VAs with some portuguese. I turned off canon mode because I didn't really mind having dialogue choices.
Double Exposure really didn't catch my interest so I never bought it. Same thing with True Colors. I didn't really hate 2 but the first game and Before the Storm were the best games in the franchise imo.
I've been excited for Shadows since it was first revealed but I've been patient after these delays. I already pre-ordered the standard edition last month and it'll be my first new game of 2025. Hopefully Shadows does good and sells well because Ubisoft really needs this win. I did skip out on mirage as I wasn't interested in the characters or story but Shadows looks very promising.
I'm very much looking forward to Tides not just because of the gameplay but the character designs as well. One of my friends even called it a British NieR game and I can see where he comes from.
Directive 8020, Lies of P: Overture, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Stellar Blade x Nikke, and Tides of Annihilation were probably my favorite things that were shown during the SoP. The Days Gone remaster didn't really get me excited even though I really enjoyed the base game (I played it post-launch where it got better). Overall, I didn't think it was a waste of time.
I've never upgraded to a higher tier of PS+ since I was never really interested in playing classic games from the catalogue. Been sticking with the basic Essential tier ever since the tiers were introduced
It didn't really ruin my gaming plans as I wasn't really playing that many online games. Only the two gachas (Star Rail and ZZZ) and despite the issues, I managed to get in just fine and do my dailies.
If it's just the standard edition of the game then I'm not paying $100 for the base game. $70 is the highest I'm willing to pay for that edition itself.
I played the original Black Flag and I really enjoyed it overall. The naval combat was well done in that game and Edward was a solid protagonist. The only thing I didn't touch was the multiplayer so I hope the remake removes it so the game won't require online trophies to get. Since that was the reason why I never went for the platinum
They really do deserve it since Stellar Blade is an amazing game. Although it didn't win anything at TGA last month, I had a good time with it overall. Didn't have too many issues with the game.
I haven't played the first two games and dropped Primal but I enjoyed playing 3,4,5, and 6 several years ago. Far Cry 6 a bit less but that's mainly because of the story. The gameplay in that game was solid imo but the story wasn't as good as 3 or 4. So I'm hoping that the next games are good since it's one of the few Ubisoft titles I've played (the other one being Assassin's Creed).
Can't wait to see the mods for this once it comes out next year. And glad that PC players will get to experience this game. Thankfully it isn't also exclusive to Epic since that was an issue with the first part.
I watch gaming-related videos on YouTube many times so I don't mind it. Whether it be clips, compilations, or game reviews, I will watch them. Another one is Let's Play commentaries (depending on the person) where I've seen many. I also enjoy watching streamers playing games but if the game doesn't interest me (like I find League boring to watch), then I just watch someone else. And of course, I still enjoy playing them as well despite them being gachas or single-player games.
The difficulty of Rebirth's platinum is why I gave up on chasing it. Those legendary VR battles are no joke so that's why I just finished the game and move on. Remake's platinum I did get though.
Not really surprising that BO6 is releasing goofy operator skins since the previous COD titles have done exactly the same. So hearing that season 1 launched with these skins (and there's going to be even more in the next patches) didn't really faze me since it was bound to happen.
Tony Todd did such a good job as Venom that I think he's easily my favorite portrayal as Venom overall. Rest in peace legend. I was not expecting this news all of a sudden
Don't think I'll upgrade to a Pro since I'm doing just fine with my digital PS5. I'm not that sort of person who wants the absolute best so I'll definitely be skipping the Pro for now.

Re: Death Stranding 2 (PS5) - A Masterpiece in Every Sense

Yeah, the story was easily the weakest part about the game. Thankfully the characters, KR voiceover, soundtrack, and gameplay made it up in my opinion since I still had a great time with the game. Hopefully the sequel will have a better story.

@Greifchen Same. I really hope that CDPR learned a big lesson after what happened with Cyberpunk 2077
