The long-rumoured remake of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is one of the worst-kept secrets in gaming at the moment, and its lead actor may have just dropped the biggest hint yet that it's on the way.

Matt Ryan, who voices player character Edward Kenway in the open world pirate action title, was captured during a conversation with a fan, and he practically gave it away. Here's the video:

Ryan asks the fan if they've beaten Black Flag, and after they respond that they have, he says they "might have to beat it again". He follows this up with a knowing look that basically screams confirmation of a Black Flag remake.

After saying they'll have to run through the whole series again, Ryan says "Well, especially this one."

Finally, he adds "There's a reason I say that, but I can't say anything."

The remake project was first rumoured roughly two years ago, and since then, there have been a few more reasons to believe Black Flag is coming back. Ryan's hint here is yet further evidence that it's real.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake Rumours Return as Actor Drops Big Hint 1

Still unannounced, it's hard to know exactly when this game will surface, but if the lead actor is teasing in this manner, perhaps it's not too far away.

Anyway, between this and the older rumours, it feels fairly safe to assume it's happening, and probably a matter of when rather than if.
