As many of the recent leaks suggested, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is out now on PS5, following its official reveal.

It may bear the 'Remastered' title, but this revival definitely leans towards the remake side of things. Built on Unreal Engine 5, this is a ground-up graphical overhaul, complete with numerous gameplay tweaks across the entire experience.

New animations have been added to both combat and general movement, while the user interface and menus have been completely redone, using the original experience as a foundation.

Indeed, the basis for the game is the old Oblivion — so you can expect the same in-game physics and overall structure.

And yes, The Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine — Oblivion's two expansions — are both included in Remastered.

Oblivion Remastered has been developed by Virtuos, a third-party company based primarily in France, with original developer Bethesda overseeing the project.

Again, Oblivion Remastered is available to buy now in North America and Europe, priced at $49.99 / £49.99, with a Deluxe Edition priced at $59.99 / £59.99.

On PS5, the game weighs in at a whopping 119GB, so you may have to make some room on your console's storage.
