First time I've actually heard of this studio

I remember when Lost Crown was first revealed and people weren't exactly happy with the choices. But it turned out to be a good game overall. Shame Ubisoft decided to disband the team

In the first half of 2025, I'm actually looking forward to AC Shadows since I'm a big fan of Assassin's Creed. I'm hoping that this game does well. I'm also excited for the new Mafia game since I loved the first 2. 3 had a terrible gameplay loop so I'm glad I skipped out on it.

I miss when CoD games were separate from each other unlike the modern titles where it's under that god awful Call of Duty HQ launcher. Such a terrible addition to the franchise.

When I heard that SM2 wasn't getting any sort of story DLC, I wasn't upset since I didn't really like the ones in the first game. Though Silver Lining was the only one I kinda enjoyed thanks to Spidey and Silver Sable. I think it would've been better if Insomniac put certain stuff from Spider-Man 2 and put it in 3 if it does get announced at some point.

Mostly playing Metaphor on PS5 since I'm still taking my time and enjoying the game.

It's the only game I'm playing atm besides HSR and ZZZ. So far it's been amazing and the new best RPG of the year imo. Very pleased with the English voices and combat overall. Atlus did a fantastic job with Metaphor

Metaphor is already installed on my ps5 so just have to wait till tomorrow at 9 PM to play it. Can't wait to spend 100 hours or so in this game

I can see why they can be annoying to create. The UI is one of Persona's strong points and I appreciate the designers for making them. I am looking forward to Metaphor since I pre-ordered it a few months ago and the last new game of 2024 I'm playing.

With those cons, I really thought it would've been a lower score but it seems like that the pros far outweigh it which is good to see. Hopefully those cons don't deter me away from finishing it. This was one of my most anticipated games this year and it's doing quite well on Metacritic so I hope I have a lot of fun with this game

Excellent review overall Sammy. I loved the original back when I played it but I can't really justify the $60 price tag as someone that already played the original. Glad I didn't end up buying it

It's pretty sad that it came to this all because of people who couldn't handle the positive reception of the remake.

I'd say this month was a plus, mainly because of the Dead Space remake. I'm not really into sports games so WWE2K24 doesn't appeal to me and I already played DDLC+ when it came out a few years ago. So yeah, one of the better months despite me already having played one of the games included.

Definitely the Ghost of Yōtei announcement at the end. I'm not a really big Monster Hunter fan so the new trailer for Wilds didn't really get me hyped. I think most of the State of Play stuff was meh until the last part.

I really don't get people who complain about games having a female protagonist. I loved Ghost of Tsushima back when I played it on ps4 and the ps5 remaster and had a great time playing it. Looking forward to Yotei next year

I played DDLC+ when it released so I don't see myself replaying it again but it was a very good visual novel that is different from others. I never really liked sports games in general so WWE is whatever to me but Dead Space is the clear winner here.

Even though I am not the biggest fan of Horizon or its sequel, $10 is a fairly cheap price so can't really be upset about it getting a remaster.

Not great but Ghost of Yotei absolutely stole the show imo. It looks really good and it appears to be some sort of sequel to Tsushima. Hope the protagonist is just as good as Jin Sakai from the first game. Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata is cool too but mainly the final trailer being GoY was amazing. Did not care one bit for the Horizon remaster as I didn't really enjoy that game.

I didn't even hear of Jusant but I thought I did remember seeing something about Banishers a while back. Ultimately, I forgot it existed and don't think I'll be picking up either.

I'm not too big on F1 that much but it's pretty cool that the red-haired elf in the game has the same name as the driver's last name. I might watch some highlights of it later on but yeah, I was never too big on F1 in general.

Metaphor is the only October game I'm getting so I am excited to play it in less than 3 weeks. Not expecting it to be perfect but I have faith in Atlus since they rarely disappoint.

I hope one day they bring Revengeance to current gen consoles because I missed out on it (even had the xbox 360 back then). My only interaction with it was through clips of it on youtube and the famous scene with Senator Armstrong

With that price tag, looks like I'll be keeping my digital PS5.

Although I don't consider FF8 to be the best game in the series, I do think it's one of my favorites. Junction system took some getting used to but eventually it wasn't difficult to get through it. I never played the og one so I'm glad I could play the remastered version that released back in 2019. Although it was not a well done remaster, I still had tons of fun playing it. Screw the Random rule in Triple Triad though. Almost got a headache trying to revert it.

No, I'm not really a big Warhammer 40k person so I didn't buy it. I did watch several streamers play it though and it was fun to watch.

I really enjoyed Days Gone overall but the director really just needs to relax and not have that attitude just because Deacon is in Astro Bot. Plus, I don't really see it as a shill but a nice cameo like many other bots in the game. You don't see other people like that acting the same when a character from their games appear in it.

Good to hear that double assassinations will make a return in Shadows. Really excited for this game in November.

Didn't even last a month

Really depends on the game for me. I've paid for $70 games several times and haven't really regretted it. For example, I've pre-ordered Infinite Wealth, P3Reload, Rebirth, and Metaphor this year for that price because I know I will have a blast with those games despite the price tag. But Assassin's Creed Shadows is very different since I pre-ordered the gold edition which is $110 USD. And since I'm a huge fan of the AC series, I really didn't mind spending that much.

@somnambulance I feel ya. Monster Hunter isn't my kind of game but it's nice that there are lots of people who do love it.

I didn't know that the Wolfenstein devs were also making this game but based on that series, I really hope they are able to pull off this Indy game. The only Indiana Jones games I've played were the lego ones on the Wii a long time ago. As for the first-person perspective, I don't really mind it at all. Will definitely wait for the ps5 version next spring.

I am absolutely sold on Metaphor so I'll definitely get it.

She was very fun to play in Part 2 even though I never really used Trinity Strike or her level 3 limit break. Can't wait for her in part 3.

I like how the ps5 is pretty much the gacha console now. I am actually looking forward to P5X ever since I saw that reveal trailer. I'll definitely be giving it a try.

I've been playing it since Day 1 on ps5 and it feels really good to play with a controller. It is missing some aspects but overall it's a solid gacha game imo and I'm looking forward to more of the story. ZZZ and HSR are pretty much the only gachas I play on PS5

Although I'll be skipping Outlaws, I will still watch streams and videos on it which is good enough for me.

I've been playing it for several hours and I really enjoy it. From the combat, visuals, and the vibe. I think I'll be getting the battle pass and monthly for sure. I'm glad I have another hoyoverse gacha to add to my list since I really only got into HSR and ZZZ (dropped Genshin and HI3rd a long time ago).

I never played the original Lollipop Chainsaw on Xbox 360 so I'm looking forward to this game in September.

In my opinion, not really. Nothing in the showcase really got my jaw dropping or saying "Wow!". I do admit that the Astro Bot game looked amazing and very fun to play. Probably the best game shown tbh.

Although I feel bad for Arkane Austin after the news earlier today, I can definitely live without this game.

I loved Village so I hope that RE9 continues where the previous game left off with Chris heading towards the BSAA HQ.

So those people who got it through the PS+ Collection (which no longer exists) and still on Essential are ineligible for the upgrade. So I really do need to pay $20 then to get the PS5 version. That sucks.
