How exclusive if available on PC.
I don’t buy that “console exclusive” term, used in situation when it fits someone agenda. At one point Xbox has no exclusives because all is on PC, suddenly PS5 has console exclusive although it releases on PC (hence also will run on Helix anyway sooner or later).
Not to mention Sony secured 6 month exclusivity only. So they will release on basically anything that can run the game, at some point.

The situation with X360 outselling PS3 is a reminder that even after incredibly successful generation (PS2), some bad decisions can very easily lead to catastrophe. Which is funny considering all the bad decisions Sony is making in only last few years with live service games, delays of single players, some failures with few titles, and killing physical distribution.

For what we can see everywhere around, monetizing does not mean anything good. Especially for us. If anyone though this generation is bad or difficult, just wait for the next one mate.

Something I don’t believe he can do in such short time is improve his acting skills. Hurst was not perfect, but he showed his skills in a variety of roles, while Bautista usually plays the same half cheap action half comedian..

I think there were better options than Bautista.

@BattleAxeOfDoom I would rather advice to find somewhere DS/3DS and hunt for cartridges. There were lots of FE games on handhelds and most are incredibly good.

There will be three consoles on the market: PS6 & Helix at pretty similar price, and Switch 2 the cheaper option, plus PC.

Just choose whatever offers more for the money.
More games? Well, that’s not an argument since exclusives are so rare and similar to each other, that’s not a game changer anymore. Power maybe? Or ecosystem? Or just go full PC and get more than only a gaming setup, plus Steam discounts which are MUCH better than console games discounts.

Since PS6 will not have physical games and drive, for me it’s a no.
Waiting to see what MS offers with Helix - if they deliver what was leaked, I take Helix.
Switch will just stay with me anyway.

Paying more for hardware, paying more for digital games, services. That’s where it leads. If someone doesn’t know that, he is just naive.

Nah, no regrets. As much as Zero Dawn was something fresh and I really liked it, I couldn’t manage to play Forbidden West longer. The story was just dumb. Graphics and combat are fine, sure, the worlds looks nice, but without really nice story all this is just shallow. I wish they just took some good script writer and director from different studio (Sony has lots of these) and prepared something that will be just interesting and keep me playing.

Will wait. What they showed looks incredibly good.

I will wait for two things: reviews once it it’s released and gameplay videos from ordinary players from YT. Then I will either buy it, or wait for some discount.

I don’t think The Gathering will sell well. This is a game nobody is waiting for. People want Horizon 3, which in these circumstances is years from any release.

That is only beginning. Intergalactic will either release on PS6 release, or after. There is no chance they will finish the game still on PS5.

There are more projects that are in development and many are in same situation. There is a reason they do not share any trailers, news or there are any leaks about any of these games.
It’s just to early to share anything if there is nothing to share.

Are we 100% this isn’t just directed marketing in coop with R*? They pretend they try to fight these leaks, but these leaks are too good quality to be just hacked or so. This seems to me to just marketing.

@ShadowRJ it will affect, if more people do like I do. Spend money elsewhere. Spend time with different ecosystem. If PS6 has no drive, I am not buying it. And we know it won’t have one.

They won’t feel short boycott.
They will feel if less money is spend in their store.
They will feel if less consoles sell.

That plus the fact, I noticed more games have better discount in MS store recently. That’s where I buy them.

@twitchtvpat The soundbar I use can be used with HDMI, optical cables or wireless, same for all the rest of speakers. I could connect it straight to the console too, but I want also my TV channels to use the sound system, not only the console.

The is no delay.
Sound quality is superb.
Wireless options are also there.

I don’t understand paying extra for „PlayStation” logo on two stereos if you can have MUCH better option with MUCH better sound quality. You buy it not only for gaming but also movies, music.. and this set they sell is highly overpriced for what it offers.

Also, I would never exchange 5.1 for a stereo small speakers. That a downgrade.

Well, I already unplugged last weekend, for two weeks. Won’t miss anything, have other consoles, which are the only place I spend money since they announced killing discs.

Since I have LG TV, I also use LG Meridian 5.1 with Atmos and 5 satellite speakers for surround.
Both the soundbar and the PS5 are connected to the TV. There is no delay, neither in gaming nor in Netflix/HBO/Prime or whatever you use. Even if there was any 1/10000 second delay, you will not even know it, it’s all bulls*t.

Not to mention, even the LG soundbar is 100% better sound quality than two small stereo ones. And you have much more options, starting from Sonos, B&W, Sennheiser, B&O to even some cheaper Sony soundbars.

@SteveBTW A collectors spend lots more for games that are in perfect condition and not available to purchase any more. Also the games that are considered one of the best in the series.

Nintendo has nearly all the third party games like PS5 and Xbox. But sure, tell me how many horror games has sony developed for PS5? Zero. Ok.. so maybe how many more complex games requiring you to actually use your brain to solve the missions? Oh.. right.. also zero.
Sony makes mainly casual games these days, cinematic experience with QTEs. That’s a fact.

All Nintendo games sell millions.
Very few Sony games get to those numbers.

There isn’t much for Nintendo to learn from Sony.
I don’t want them to abandon and kill physical games on Switch. Or remove the drive and sell it separate.

Judging by console sales statistics.. Nintendo is still no. 1.

@SteveBTW Sony could learn a lot from Nintendo too Like.. making diverse genre games out of one single IP… instead of making all IPs games similar to each other.

By the way.. I recently sold a copy of Pokemon Platinum for a price of PS5 Pro And it doesn’t work the other way.

For some who have no idea about audio and its quality the Sony PlayStation logo will seek some, but there are hundreds of better quality options on the market. Not to mention 5.1 soundbars that will destroy these two.

I remember the time Sony meant a lot in audio segment. And this was long ago.

And gameplay videos.

@SteveBTW These show rather basic RT. And there is some resolution, sharpness and details downgrade with RT on. Otherwise fps would just drop.

Same in many other games. PS5 is not capable to run 1440p at 60 fps with full RT on.

They probably use AI based tools to clean up. That’s the result.

@lazymike Yeah, the difference is: look at older Zelda’s, look at new ones. Competent reworked gameplay mechanics and graphics.

Now look at SM1, Morales, and 2.

Not really. Stopped paying for Plus some time ago and definitely not going back for these games.

@JLSlone I played SM1, Morales and 2. These games basically play like this. Pressing 1-2 buttons. What’s more.. the section where you just hold one button for long, cinematics.. their games at some parts play themselves without player being even active.

And QTEs..

$70 for an almost auto-play game, for 14 hours and non open world.. seems pretty expensive.

@SteveBTW the lower the resolution used for upscaling the worse the image in the end. There were just many games on base PS5 we have seen these issues.
