I still dream one day they will rerelease Magic The Gathering on current consoles. I liked these in the past.

If you stream to Portal from home console and there is energy shortage in your home, and you are far far away with electricity, you still cannot stream because your home console turned off.

If you have Switch, you just play cartridge.

These are not modest sales.

Saros sold poorly. And we already have some data on Tokon: around 360k copies sold on PS5. Hardly a success.

And like I said, right after poor sales results are known, “it’s niche game” comments will pop up.

@Dogbreath Streaming means you stream from your home console. Which needs to be turned on.
If it goes down for any reason, like energy shortage.. no more playing. I mean streaming.

Switch versions means you just turn on the console and play. They may be cut down a little bit, but still the DLSS makes up for that.

Still not convinced to pay for Plus, but it seems if they add it, it was no longer being purchased that much. They usually add games pretty old, long after release, or the ones that sales are disappointing. Still, this may lead to more people joining the game, they will get it with subscription which is required to play multi anyway.

@Max_the_German They are probably distributing what was left in the warehouses of Yōtei. Adding DLC as digital. They need to get rid of discs they still have in upcoming two years.

Plus they already started changes in factories, there will probably be less and less physical copies produced. Until there is zero.

@Stickleman get physical, are pretty cheap if you spend some time to find it.

Exclude the most expensive ones (usually are premium/extra editions sold still at high prices).
Then select games, bundles or premium editions.

Sort by amount decreasing and.. here we go.

I don’t with them to fail. I just see the symptoms. Some defend the game because it’s one of very few exclusives. But is it a good one? Let’s wait to see the sales. I foresee it won’t sell well. Saros didn’t. Marathon didn’t. And Tokon also goes same path.

@ButteredCrumpet because I started living with my girlfriend and apparently I had too much stuff and toys I rarely used but they were taking space or whatever. If you have PC, 3 consoles and some retro ones, there is no damn time to use it all.

@ButteredCrumpet I never said I prefer PC over consoles. I am lucky (or dumb enough) to buy all current generation consoles PS5 XSX and NS2.
That way I feel I can try to compare where the experience is better now and then.

I used to own also a PC in last generation but stopped using it at some point and just sold it.

We are before PS6 release and I can already tell now what will be the lineup of all their games.

@DennisReynolds and it seems your comment didn’t age well. On PC player base drops by 50% already now. On PS5 I am just waiting for sales stats to see lots of „but it was never supposed to sell millions it’s niche” damage control comments.

@Flaming_Kaiser Nintendo just made a console that outsold PS5. They also make more games. More often release.

@ButteredCrumpet PC games are much cheaper. Much better discounts. Much more variety. And PC is expensive to build, but cheaper to upgrade later on. Considering PS6 $1200 price tag at best with no upgrade possibilities than buying PS6 Pro later on.

@Anthony_Daniels that’s the problem. Since PS5 generation - none. All their games are bland and safe now. You buy part 3 and it feels like you play the same game third time.

I prefer the SM1. Story was better.
SM2 is like.. graphics.. and dumb story and MMO activities. For me a story matters more.

If PS5 sequels were disappointing to you because they were safe, lazy and no risky.. just wait for PS6 generation, where they will want to make sure each game sells and any kind of risk and creativity will be gone.

Yotei was like any other Sony first party sequel of last 5-6 years. Bland. Repetitive. Safe. Uncreative. And this will not change.

That will be a fail.. so much that Saros will seem like a success next to it.

Remember. Brutality and nudity, indeed, but by Insomniac standards. So.. rather some candy colorful fake blood fountains and small part of a butt.. with story from a cartoon..

Some of these were so cheap to buy already years ago. I resigned from paying for Plus last year. No regrets.
