Rocksteady Arkham series? Still a masterpiece and way ahead of even Spiderman with its world building and atmosphere. And mature story.

They managed to make 3 equally fantastic games with huge evolution between each.
Meanwhile we already have 3 Spiderman games that play like one and the same game, with little difference… and since milking never ends, there will be 4th game soon or later. Which will play exactly the same like those three..

@nomither6 on the other hand, DC has mature and serious themes and setting, compared to Marvel which always was like.. for kids.

Starting from color palette, villains, stories, Marvel was always level below DC.
And nothing changed when moved from comics to video games: Arkham trilogy >>> anything from Marvel.

@Drago201 they will release also on PC. Listen, everyone talks they need big games and big exclusives - what is bigger than Elder Scrolls or Fallout? These are biggest western rpgs. No competition.

If they are exclusive they sell consoles.

Yeah because Sony delivered lots of exclusives very often and all top quality Maybe in PS3/4 generation. But this generation is terrible in that matter.

Anyway did not plan to buy anything from the Store. I pass on their digital sales and buy it elsewhere. That is a perk of having a choice. Something that will disappear once they kill physical games.

This thing looks like indie generic title.

They are milking this IP in movies same way as in games. And same as in games, every next movie gets worse than the others.
Spiderman IP started as 5 star meal with first game and movies, and became a fastfood 3 games and 15 movies later.

@DennisReynolds and it was proven Sony was lying: in their statistics to support how great digital games sell, they included also every single DLC, digital content like albums or manuals, and yes.. in game currency. This way they significantly increased % of digital vs physical.
I also don’t believe all these sudden articles and analytics, which did not show up before they made announcement, and now so many influencers and journalists make such articles. Do you know some of these may be sponsored?

They should finally announce what will and what will not be exclusive. If they really want Helix to sell, it needs to have exclusive games, and big names too. Elder Scrolls or Fallout are such.

@MrPeanutbutterz there’s a difference between a remake/remaster of a game from 2013 and one done for a game from 2020. One of these is fine, the other is just a cash grab.

Just wait for the pricing when they introduce these new prices in Store. One of you will see the game for $50, the other one for $40. All this together with their extremely high prices of everything in Store. When I see there a 5 year old game still sold at release price I laugh. I bough the box for 20% of that price.

The mob is targeting different studios at purpose. These developers, smaller and bigger ones, rely on marketing collaboration with Sony. Apparently, Sony doesn’t care about their public image anymore, they just went silent. But other companies care about their public image and this may lead them to end their collaboration. It is no coincidence that right after Sony announcement when all this started, suddenly PS App and Store removed GTA6 themes. This was not coincidence. This was requested by Rockstar. So basically what people are doing works.

Yet another month that fully supports my decision to cancel subscription half year ago. Basically cheap indies and few old bigger titles you can get cheap everywhere outside PS Store.

@PanFriedSoup Can guarantee not all of them. The only way I play this is getting preowned copy so they do not see my money. Otherwise I pass. I am already tired with Insomniac formula after 3 similar Spiderman games.

@HonestHick They will most likely release remasters on PS5, but the ES6 and Fallout 5 will most likely become exclusive. If MS wants to sell consoles they need exclusives. And there are very little franchises that would drag so much attention. Elder Scrolls and Fallouts are such franchises.

@Bot_Bot_69 what’s wrong with Oblivion? I already have 200 hrs in and no issues I would notice. Even runs well. Good old oblivion with updated graphics.

Saying niche genre is just excuse. This is online multiplayer shooter, these are pretty popular if are good enough.
Arc Raiders is good.
Hunt Showdown is good.

Just bought Black Flag physical and GTA digital, both on Xbox. Planning to buy Crimson Desert, and definitely not on PS.

The thing is, Sony makes basically one genre of games, in few IPs, which play similar to each other. Fun fact, it’s 2026 and I can already tell you whole lineup of their exclusives for a whole next generation. Basically take games from PS5 and add “Remastered” or “Definitive Edition” or add new sequel number. That’s it.

@MrPeanutbutterz Let’s do same exercise for the competition. We hear people abused the system by buying preowned copies of games or exchanging with friends. Yet, that’s something Sony not only allowed, but also promoted in media for years.
