Rebel Wolves has announced the graphical modes you can pick between in The Blood of Dawnwalker, and the standout news is that neither of the two settings provided offers 60 frames-per-second support on base PS5 or PS5 Pro.

On both base PS5 and PS5 Pro, there are the same two modes to choose from:

Quality
Dynamic 4K, Targeting 30 FPS
Balanced
Dynamic 4K, Targeting 40FPS

The video above notes the PS5 Pro "offers enhanced visual quality across both modes", but there's seemingly no way of making the console version run at 60fps.

It's a surprise to see a PS5 game in 2026 not offer any kind of 60fps support, especially when it has multiple graphics modes to toggle between. I find it strange how there's even a mode named "Balanced" — how can it be balanced between anything when there's no performance mode to accompany the quality mode? A balanced mode usually sits in between the two, but that's not the case here.

After the tech specs are listed on-screen, the video shows off some console footage, first from the PS5 Pro set to Quality Mode and then the base PS5 on the same setting. There's then some Xbox Series X footage at the end, with the Microsoft system offering the same graphical options as PS5.

The new RPG from former Witcher 3 developers has shown a lot of promise in the lead-up to launch, which is slated for 3rd September 2026. It's unusual to offer graphical modes and not have anything providing 60fps support — does this put you off at all? Let us know in the comments below.
