Poor selection of games again. Either old one that was already sold nearly for free, plus indies. What am I paying for.. Plus quality seems to be dropping lower each month c

Touch buttons and joysticks is the dumbest idea ever for controller. Physical ones you feel under fingers, touch buttons not possible. I hope this is not serious.

Tried Nioh 1, wanted to love it, deleted after 2 hrs.
Tried Nioh 2, I managed to play a little longer but still just got rid it after 5-6 hrs.

I am afraid I will wait for a good sale with 3rd, because it doesn’t look like a big improvement. Something doesn’t click for me in this series sadly.

@PuppetMaster aside from all of these games looking generic and copied from everything around, I also do not support these knowing that in China there is no place for independent management. All of these Chinese devs are controlled in some ways by Chinese communist government, like everything in China. They want you to buy all these shiny looking games, and get access to your data. Suddenly everyone forgot why Huawei was banned in some countries when people realized it is used for spying for them?!

Not to mention, China uses cheap products in gaming like in any other economy branch, so you get used to them, buy them, want more.. and forget than in case of any global conflict between biggest powers, China will not stand on the same side as most of us here So you basically are feeding the power that one day will use that against you.

Like someone said here on in the other Chinese game article… they all look so generic and similar. It’s like after copying from all other games, they now copy from themselves.

@AhmadSumadi they indeed look same, mostly generic. As much as they have huge budget and workpiece, they still rely mainly on copying from other titles. They lack originality. Sales wise some of them sell well only because of high sales in China obviously. But outside of China, barely anyone awaits these games.

On the other hand, games are like anything else, if they are made in China, you can be pretty sure they are cheaper to make. That’s why China Project exists. Unfortunately, most of these are crap.

@LogicStrikesAgain if they cannot afford premium Samsung or LG models, many just go for budget Samsung models. TCL is the worst choice.

@Rich33 Jesus, can you write it shorter? And that’s what I said, barely any team can use PSSR properly, even in Sony exclusive titles it is often causing various issues. The number of games where it makes noticeable difference can be count on one hand.

It convinced me to go back to the OG Fable 1/2/3. Never had OG Xbox or 360 or One, so this was my first experience with these. And they are good. Improved for next gen with frames and HD.
I am hyped. It’s a pity they did not think about releasing original three games on PS5 as a kind of marketing activity to promote new Fable.

@LogicStrikesAgain They sell cheap budget TV products. This is how they are positioned. And that will affect positioning of Sony TVs in a result. Selling more TVs doesn’t always mean making bigger profits than someone selling less but higher price.

Listen, when you will buy PS6 and need to buy new TV and could afford LG OLED, Samsung QLED and TCL - will you buy TCL ..?! Be serious

@LogicStrikesAgain Well, we will know when they release it. But even if Steam would sell more on Xbox than MS Store, that would also affect hardware sales because people would buy it for that functionality. From my perspective this is healthy for a gamer - several stores mean no monopoly, better game prices. I am tired of closed ecosystems with one store that sells games at higher prices to offset selling console under production costs.

@DennisReynolds $700 maybe, or maybe even more. All depends on the hardware prices I guess. And these are going up. I think $700 will be PS6 price tag, and Xbox will be 800+

@rjejr except for the fact their new +$500 box will be rather PC console hybrid that would run anything from their Xbox store plus PC games stores with free multiplayer etc that would make some difference. I mean having choice where to buy game instead of being locked to one monopoly store can work out nicely.
What to play console version - play console versions. Want to buy it on Steam - buy and play PC version. Your choice. Access to Steam bought my attention in the first place. Free multi in second.

I really do not try to argue, just don’t agree with this „That’s where TCL comes in”. If someone cannot afford LG OLED, just goes to buy Samsung LED or QLED. Not TCL.
I understand TCL targets cheap TV segment but it also means cheap quality. People know that. It’s better to just buy Samsung and have it for few years instead of TCL that will die in 3 yrs.

I mean, if they really had to go for joint venture or any cooperation they could choose Panasonic, Philips or any brand that isn’t synonym of poor quality. That’s what I meant. They could even go to cooperate with Samsung or LG, they buy their OLED panels anyway so why not.

Going for TCL seems like Tesla would ask Daewoo to control their car business. It will affect how the brand is seen by customers.

Your arguments seem to explain that making Sony branded TVs cheap quality like TCL is good for Sony because they will make money. What about brand positioning? Decades of building brand as luxury and high end only to become cheap product brand now? I find it to be a huge mistake by the Sony management. I want Bravia to be high end and top quality, not TCL quality.

@Max_the_German But you know why they add „games nobody wants into service”, right? They are cheaper to add.

@LogicStrikesAgain TCL sells cheap products for someone who cannot afford LG or Samsung. Cheap means its built quality is obviously worse, picture quality as well. It’s like comparing Hyundai and Porsche. Of course anyone who can would choose 911 over Elantra.

@Rich33 It has so much improvements over basic PS5 yet it struggles to show real life improved quality in actual games.
While move from PS4 to Pro made a huge and noticeable improvement in resolution and gameplay, PSSR and extra power in PS5 Pro does not show any significant improvement that would justify extra $$$ in price.

@OldGamer999 then iPods and similar products showed up Sony just surrendered. They didn’t even try. That was painful. Same for TVs.

This joint venture means for their TVs they will be run by Chinese, mark my words it will reflect in quality and further drop in sales. Nowadays there are two main players in TV market: Samsung selling for masses and LG selling for picture quality (they are leaders in OLEDs).
If you could buy TCL, Samsung or LG you wouldn’t even consider TCL. They make cheap quality products.

Sony would be better to keep TV and Audio division but they need to invest more to fight back. In the past Sony logo on TV meant premium top quality product. They could get this back, but it requires investments and some work to fight back. Cooperating with TCL will make things worse not better.

Played the demo, pretty nice thing that allows to play around first hour or so. Then decided to just buy it. It has huge Skyrim vibe but more kind of a dark fantasy setting. Music is awesome. Atmosphere is awesome. Strong 7/10 at least. They should fix some issues in the future too.
Highly recommend it, it’s quite fresh game on the market full of similar games.

Looks pretty bland. They want to release „Plague Tale” type game but the original still seems to be better. Can be nice to get this one when the price drops 50%, but at this price? No thank you.

@kailun MS didn’t become no 1. richest company with biggest profits in the world by making stupid decisions. They know what they are doing pretty well.
On the other hand we now hear about Sony giving their TV and Audio division to Chinese TCL.. brilliant decision.

They confront sales of product 1 with sales of product 2, and claim 7% of owners of the 1 also own 2.
It’s not true, if you remember that some part of these products sales were bought by whom? We used to call them „scalpers”. They are still active because that is easy money.

@OldGamer999 This will happen sooner than later with Sony gaming model.
For now that insist to be traditional console sold at loss and games with margin to cover that loss. At the same time production costs of hardware go up. And will be going up in future.

Sony did exactly the same in TVs market, and in Audio market. They insisted to not change anything and not adapt. As e result their TV and Audio shares are low and drop each year.

Same story will repeat one day with gaming if no one realizes they need to adapt. They finally interested in cloud and streaming, yet they don’t have infrastructure. They use Amazon or MS servers. They still did not realize they need to plan 20-30 years ahead and not 5 years ahead.

@Rich33 Wow, just stop. PS4 Pro introduced true 4K for us that was actually noticeable in those games. PS5 Pro introduced PSSR which is barely noticeable in most games, and makes some difference in how many.. 3 games this generation?

The real question is, how long Ubisoft will stay alive…

@nomither6 I would love to. Nintendo has awesome games. Always had. Best childhood memories are related with Nintendo games. The old ones, new ones age great but the classics the older ones <3

@LogicStrikesAgain It’s premature, we haven’t play the game yet, but if they deliver what they shared, it is very possible.

I played the original Fables for the first time within last 4 years and must say they are awesome.

And if we speak of „underwhelming” that is the feeling I got after cartoony Wolverine presentation, that everyone argued with me looks so mature and violent, yet colourful like a damn cartoon.

@Questionable_Duck stop complaining, get your wallet. Fable suddenly after this presentation became one of strongest contestants for GOTY 26, not to mention its sales on each platform will be massive. It looks awesome, gameplay looks awesome and all the features explained sound awesome. Yay!

Forza 6 looks fantastic. Graphics will be awesome obviously, cars look great, I want to know only one thing - soundtrack. It would sound awesome to have fully Japanese OST

@LogicStrikesAgain You only ignore the trend which in statistics us important. Most of their sequels did worse than original games. People claim SM2 or HFW or Ragnarok will reach sales levels of original games, yet it is not happening. These sales trends went down. Who wanted to buy already did it. They will not sell another 10m copies.

@LogicStrikesAgain They sold 11m copies, then bundles happened and it went to 15m or so. I am not saying 5m is purely bundles, there are also some sales in Store taking place, but bundles did have some impact.

Considering most people claim it is decent game, with nice gameplay, yet bland story, childish missions, boring characters and overall worse than first game everywhere except some improved gameplay mechanics and bigger city.

I mean. I love first SM game, I like Morales, and I honestly was bored by SM2. I played around 10 hours and deleted only to download first game again.

@LogicStrikesAgain I got Spiderman 2 bundled with console, at nearly no extra cost. If not that I wouldn’t buy it until price drops below $30 or get preowned copy. That is what I meant, they bundled the digital game with console but it was sold at nearly same price as console alone. Adding these to sales stats is questionable for me. Nintendo when they bundle anything they increase the bundle price.

Not really. The pinnacle of this month is a game that was on each possible sale every month twice, and whoever didn’t yet play Village must have lived on a stranded island. It was probably cheap to add. My guess.

At least they don’t ask $10 for an upgrade like some others do.

Those 12 people worldwide waiting for Marathon must be happy now.
