No. There's better..much better 5.1 surround soundbars for the same price and lower. Check out some of the Vizio options on amazon and there's a couple of hisense ones that have had some belting reviews.

They look swanky but that price is a bit "oooft"!

The price seems fair to me, it is similar to 2x Sony ULT speakers. Now I am curious if anyone will buy these, when all those PS 'fans' obnoxiously trumpet in their comments they will buy nothing if it is not disc.

Price is absurd for what these are. Vote with your wallet, or don't whine as Sony continues further down their villain arc....

If your in UK Majority have just release great set around £85-90 at Argos the D70X also at currys etc great sound Bluetooth loads of connection at the back HDMI, phono, optical, USB playback nice remote with it.

@Slayer25c if you let them get away with the price of something you don't won't then soon enough they will raise the price of something you do.

I wonder what they're gonna do with accessories if the PS6 doesn't keep the same visual identity as the PS5, that distinctive....weirdly uncanny curved but a square design.

But also, please no. We don't need a remote, earbuds, headphones, new headphones and earbuds that work with a handheld streaming machine but the old ones don't, cover plates but not for the original design of the machine, a controller, another controller, a fight stick, speakers, some other speakers, a monitor....

What's the ratio of accessories to Sony published games this generation, just out of curiosity? Because it feels like we get more new hardware than anything.

For some who have no idea about audio and its quality the Sony PlayStation logo will seek some, but there are hundreds of better quality options on the market. Not to mention 5.1 soundbars that will destroy these two.

I remember the time Sony meant a lot in audio segment. And this was long ago.

Idk why anyone is shocked at the price, sony notoriously puts a premium on anything with the playstation logo slapped on it. Aren't those Pulse earbuds they released over two years ago still $200?

@Ooccoo_Jr everything is up inflation what is causing this on till government borrowing go down and etc nothing going to be cheap so u can complain all u want at the end the day as long inflation keep going up everything will be pricey

Why? They will be average at best, can pick up a pair of used KRK's for the same price that will sound 1 million times better

Since I have LG TV, I also use LG Meridian 5.1 with Atmos and 5 satellite speakers for surround.
Both the soundbar and the PS5 are connected to the TV. There is no delay, neither in gaming nor in Netflix/HBO/Prime or whatever you use. Even if there was any 1/10000 second delay, you will not even know it, it’s all bulls*t.

Not to mention, even the LG soundbar is 100% better sound quality than two small stereo ones. And you have much more options, starting from Sonos, B&W, Sennheiser, B&O to even some cheaper Sony soundbars.

Small stereo speakers were fun.

@Leinad7 i mean that works for you , sounds like a good setup , but clearly that wouldn't work for me , since i'm looking for something more like this that is wireless that i can move around where i live. unless its wireless i'd rather not buy mulitple sets of speakers.

@twitchtvpat The soundbar I use can be used with HDMI, optical cables or wireless, same for all the rest of speakers. I could connect it straight to the console too, but I want also my TV channels to use the sound system, not only the console.

The is no delay.
Sound quality is superb.
Wireless options are also there.

I don’t understand paying extra for „PlayStation” logo on two stereos if you can have MUCH better option with MUCH better sound quality. You buy it not only for gaming but also movies, music.. and this set they sell is highly overpriced for what it offers.

Also, I would never exchange 5.1 for a stereo small speakers. That a downgrade.

like i said if that works for you , that's great. i need something that sounds decent that i can use for multiple setup. also if i want to take it along with me as well.

Just do some research. These are going to over promise. Things like "Hi-Res Wireless" for example. The PS5 link will work great for games, but it's kinda BS with anything else.

Most things Netflix, Disney, Hulu, HBO, cap out at 256kbps. So saying lossless audio, is kinda weak.

Lossless as it's not ADDING compression, but it's not improving anything. To me, a lot of what's being promised here, can be had for much cheaper. If not cheaper, than a better set up than just these little things.

@11001100110zero You already notice the difference if you use streaming or a old CD.

They cost more than my surround sound. I wanted these to get rid of my current speakers as it takes up too much space and has so many long wires. But I don't think I want to spend that much on just 2 speakers.

@Quintumply aagghh you cursed me. My trusty LG soundbar which I've had since around 2012 died on me forcing me..yes forcing me to purchase a new one. I've just literally bought and set up the Hisense AX5100Q 5.1 soundbar. It comes with 2 wireless satellite speakers and a wireless subwoofer and wait for it..Dolby atmos..£179.99 and it sounds damn nice. That subwoofer really thumps.

@Quintumply well I can recommend the one I bought this morning. After watching god knows how many reviews last night I narrowed it down to either a Vizio from amazon or this hisense model. The Vizio was out of stock so I went to curry's this morning and grabbed the hisense. Now for a comparison the Sony sonos is around £700 but you have to buy the sub separately (£400) and the left and right rear speakers (£200 ish) and the sound quality on the hisense was much better according to the review. That's an insane cost saving and just shows that sometimes it's just the brand name you pay for.
