I just don't understand picking Pascal for this role. I'm very worried he is going to ruin it.

They need to take their damn time and show the game when it is 99% ready. Tired of these prick tease trailers with no release dates. Plus, they can't afford to screw another game up, it will bury them. Will be third strike.

I didn't play this game in part because of this review. Now I will get to try it free (and everyone else has sold me on its quality)

Lol they should have just gave the base game away for ps4 owners and charged 20 bucks for dlc a la FFVIIR Intergrade regardless of platform.

I'll wait until that's the price then on PS5. Plenty to play still with ME Legendary and aforementioned FFVIIRI.

This looks so bad, definitely won't waste time downloading it.

The game was average but I spent quite a bit of time with it. I didn't like how there was basically the same layout of the buildings in every city. I liked the gameplay, and the loot system though, though could have used more variety. The story was mildly entertaining. I expect a lot from this team going forward, they show some promise.

Okay, let's get Bluepoint to remake Dark Cloud 1 and 2 now.

@QBGaming12 Dragon Age: Origins probably needs a huge overhaul like Mass Effect 1 got in Legendary Edition. I would totally pick it up though, one of the greatest RPGs of all time.

This is exciting if it's a plus game. Totally one of those games I may like but never confident enough I would spend the money on it.

All I can think about with this whole situation is how much I hate Konami.

@Spiders I don't mind dying and learning from it, I just hate replaying areas over again in my old age. My 1.5 hours every couple of days is too precious to replay stuff!

Sony also needs a first party turn based rpg strategy title to compete with Fire Emblem in my opinion.

I'll buy a used Xbox in a few years when they're cheap and all the Bethesda stuff is on GamePass (if they're not a buggy mess which they probably will be). Will spend a few months playing through them, then will sell the Xbox to someone else.

Right now, these games are all a ways off though. But yeah Microsoft won't really make any money from me except for a few months of gamepass piddles.

Was excited for SquareEnix announcements the most and am utterly disappointed. So far, worst E3 ever.

This game is a masterpiece. Cannot wait to play it again and then complete Yuffies story after. Still on Mass Effect 2 though, so I have a little while. Maybe when I get done with these, Ratchet and Clank will be cheaper.

Wow never seen Life of Black Tiger. Hopefully we get it on PS Plus soon.

Anyways, the length of the game, the fact that there isn't a lot of new things, solidified it for me that it's not worth 70 dollars. I'll get it when it's 50-60.

I don't know why people don't think a game can be developed for a more powerful platform and a scaled down to meet the requirements of a lower performing platform. It happens all the time when games are developed on PC and put on console.

As long as the PS5 features are all accounted for, like DualSense, higher framerates and resolution, better audio, and all of that is downgraded for PS4 then I don't care.

As long as the PS5 versions of the games make full use of all of the PS5 additions, like the dualsense, power, sound etc, I don't really care about it also coming to PS4. Yeah they lied, but didn't care then, don't care now as long as PS5 is fully implemented.

@Dan_ozzzy189 I think it is less Americanised and more globalized. Which is fine. Common language and terms are a good thing. The majority of English that Americans speak came from the UK so take solace in that.

@Kienda I think a lot of Americans are European descendants, so we are all family. Let's just not let this stuff bother us is all I'm saying. Worldwide companies use the term Fall. Sorry but America is massive compared to the UK, it's just the way it is.

@Bamila I'm sure this has been in the works for awhile and some companies are trying to not cannibalize their own sales by saying a native PS5 version is coming in the future. Then you may have a lot saying well I will wait for the best version of it. I think chances of this coming to PS5 natively are very high.

@commentlife I think there is a 7 day trial. I did the trial myself a few months ago and ended up canceling. As a long time Playstation fan, I've played most games worth playing. For someone new to the ecosystem it is a great way to start playing a huge library for nominal entry fee, so probably a great deal for you.

Pretty bummed after playing the demo. The fighting is good but I was out on the story vignettes. I can't stand how most JRPGs these days switch to a comic style vignette and take you completely out of the game. It's laziness in my mind so they can show characters in anime instead of having to sync VA to in-game animations. I may still get it, but its definitely bargain bin when there is a lull in releases.

I can't wait to find the time to read this whole review.

I personally view these games at the pinnacle of RPGs along with FFVII. The value for the money here is incredible, and having all of them with all DLCs 4k60fps in one package is frankly amazing. Loving going through them again.

The game looks incredible. The way she mentions things as she is about to do them. The event scripting that must be going on behind the scenes. Just incredible.

God I hate Sega. Not much better than Konami in my eyes. We will never get another Shining Force or Dragon Force game because they are too busy re-releasing Sonic crap over and over.

@Yinx Comment was totally tongue in cheek with a reference to the gameplay being short but the difficulty turned up to make the experience longer. Honestly, I am happy to see a game like Returnal in the top ten, it's better than another run of the mill shooter or ubisoft open worlder. Unique games selling well is a good thin regardless of how you/I/anyone feels about this one in particular.
