@AdamNovice Totally. I could even see this as a trial run for Haven and if they deliver, may get the chance to become a Playstation Studio that specializes in the services model.
Now that I can fully play PS5 games portably using the Kishi/PSPlay app, I think I want Sony to focus on PS5 instead of fragmenting their development across another platform. Using my Note 20 Ultra with Kishi and PSPlay is heavenly.
Heads up, you can watch the livestream in 4k for 2.99 extra. By purchasing the diamond livestream, you get an avatar and early viewing access to EaPlay 2022. Finally, for 9.99, you can access all EA trailers in 4k for the next year and receive an avatar and digital lanyard for digital EA keys that your avatar wears on their hip.
Totally getting a wheel with GT7...though this one will probably be a little rich for my blood. I'll probably be relegated to the 2nd class Logitech. But hey, better than just a controller like other normies!
I'm in the minority here I guess. They only need to show what is almost ready. I think it's pretty clear at this point that only Horizon and Deathloop can be shown at this point and I'm okay with that.
I'm hopeful that we'll get some GT7 info by end of year, but if it happens it happens. I do expect there to be a pretty big marketing push in September through November, but will more than likely be focus on what is already out or releasing at the end of year.
@PossibLeigh The gameplay may be tight, but I'm afraid the content will be light. That's what I mean about underdeveloped. Like they thought, hey let's focus on 5 hours of gameplay and just make them play it over and over. Don't spend much time on making it look next gen either. Those 5 hours (stretched to 15-20) may play well, but we should definitely expect that anyways, and we should expect a PS5 game to look and feel like a PS5 game. This just doesn't to me at all.
And hey, thanks for understanding opinions are that and not being offended. It's cool to see both sides.
@PossibLeigh
Sure, I don't care for the art direction and as I mentioned the graphics don't look PS5 at all. To me, this is an underdeveloped looking game that they are trying to hide behind thinly veiled play-the-same-thing over and over mechanics, just dripping you little upgrades that help you get past the next barrier after dying 10 times.
And yeah I played the first Dishonored and didn't really get into it. I actually remember I was super excited when it came out, but thought it was boring after spending some time with it. I did however like the feel of the game much more than this funky looking style they have going here.
Thanks for reviewing this again. For the record I don't take issue with the previous 6 score. I would fully expect the reviewer to apply his/her opinion on the game as they see it without any outside factors playing in, like "it's an avg 8 on Metacritic". You guys do a good job of shrugging off the review score criticism, keep at it.
@mrbone This is what people keep forgetting. The grass isn't greener on the other side. Sony actually makes more than 3 games a generation. Microsoft relies on 3rd party multiplatform games and indies to carry them. Not falling for it again.
Just need to program your mind to wait for sales even if it takes 6 to 12 months.
@Daleaf @nessisonett Yes, that show is a master class in acting. Well shot, great story, just wonderfully done all around. Really looking forward to the second season.
@Floki Sure but it goes both ways. Some people talk like they think he's the second coming of Tom Hanks. I think it's a product of him picking roles that are "cool" to the gamer crowd and less about his actual skill in acting. In my mind, dudes don't just start out as awesome actors from one job, they have to earn that praise. It's okay to be a fan though. All I said is I'm worried about it. Hopefully he/they will prove me wrong. I want it to be good despite my criticism.
@lacerz His Dark Materials, Lovecraft Country, Watchmen, Perry Mason, Raised by Wolves...man they got some great content. New Sudden Move movie looks good too with Cheadle and Benicio DT. Can't wait for Sopranos spinoff too.
I know a lot of people here love him for some reason. I haven't watched Narcos, so maybe that would convince me. It is just one show and one character though. Sometimes actors are good at only one thing. I'm still worried, hopefully he proves me wrong and WW84 was just a crap covered blip. It had a terrible Director so that could have had something to do with it.
@nessisonett I don't know man. He was pretty awful in Wonder Woman. The only role I thought he was good in was Game of Thrones, but that was a pretty straightforward role and he didn't have much time and character building. Mandalorian is a role lacking much emotion. He has not proved to me at all that he can act. WW84 was one of the worst performances I've seen in awhile.
They need to take their damn time and show the game when it is 99% ready. Tired of these prick tease trailers with no release dates. Plus, they can't afford to screw another game up, it will bury them. Will be third strike.
The game was average but I spent quite a bit of time with it. I didn't like how there was basically the same layout of the buildings in every city. I liked the gameplay, and the loot system though, though could have used more variety. The story was mildly entertaining. I expect a lot from this team going forward, they show some promise.

Crazy expensive. Hopefully competition drives the prices down rather quickly.

Let's put them in the game!
Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Stats Show Most Popular Shepard, Key Story Choices, and Much More
@gollumb82 Yeah I agree with you. After saving both in prior playthroughs, Ashley has the better story. Kaidan is boring all the way through.

Re: Mini Review: Cris Tales (PS5) - Enchanting RPG Inspired By the Classics
Hate the art on this one. Everything else is right up my alley. Unfortunately, I'll probably pass because of the style.
Edit: OH and if I was going to play it, it's on gamepass so I would just play it on there.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut Bundles in New Island Expansion, Coming to PS5 and PS4
Lol they should have just gave the base game away for ps4 owners and charged 20 bucks for dlc a la FFVIIR Intergrade regardless of platform.
I'll wait until that's the price then on PS5. Plenty to play still with ME Legendary and aforementioned FFVIIRI.
