Re: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 Could Take the Story Even Further with DLC

I would be okay if they added some end game treasure hunting for new skills, materia, weapons, summons, hidden bosses etc. More gameplay I guess. But no story DLCs. Like, after the game is done, they add a new game plus with additional secrets but same story. Even fleshing out stuff with Vincent and Yuffie, just no, I dont want all that. The chocobo breeding that led to a ton of missable secrets and stuff was my favorite part of the game

Its not Sophie's fault, I dont blame her for taking a job. She isnt the worst actress. But the casting director should absolutely be fired.

They should have done a wider search, there are plenty of aspiring young actresses that would fit the physical image of the character and be as good or better of an actress than Sophie Turner.

They just wanted to attach a name, any name at all.

Re: Starfield Has a Serious Crashing Issue on PS5, PS5 Pro

This would be so frustrating. I recall having a crashing issue on Final Fantasy XVI when it first came out on PS5. I seemed to be the only person having it and tried everything from starting new saves, playing with graphics modes, and I even restored the PS5 back to default. Sony was no help and Square Enix kept blaming Sony. It made me really mad, was basically a wasted $60. This looks more widespread so should get resolved.

Re: Poll: Five Years of PS5 - How Would You Rate Sony's Console?

Its been a great gen that has been carried by 3rd party games. There has been some solid first party games though like Astro, Gran Turismo 7, Ghost of Yotei, God of War, Spider-man. But for being out for 5 years it is hard not to think about what could have been. We really should have had a new Uncharted game. Throw in like 3 or 4 more blockbuster exclusives and it could have been an amazing gen so far.

Also imagine with this paradigm, consoles can come out at a rapid pace. Trade in programs, monthly subsidized payments like cell phones, contracts, the good ol residual dollar comes into play. This could be nuts when you think about it. Gaming is ripe for the picking. I dont support that but I could definitely see it happening.

@twitchtvpat yeah this definitely is made for the console masses not for enthusiasts that visit gaming sites. It is not confusing to me at all, its supposed to be a new gaming console, it is not geared towards traditional PC gamers that want max power. They'll be able to slap 4k on the box and market it as the next best console with free online. If the money is right, I know I keep saying that but that really is the big key here, but if it is, Valve will pac man up console marketshare fairly quickly. Games are cheaper and way more of them. And btw Sony puts their games on there too.

@twitchtvpat I think you are overestimating the knowledge of the average consumer. Most people do not visit digital foundry or know the difference between 4k upscaling and native 4k. If this is priced right, I think people are going to buy them and realize Steam games are more plentiful and cheaper. Sony will have to answer by being more aggressive with pricing which is great for everyone. Not to mention free online play with most titles. This may be the shake up the industry needs with the slow death of the Xbox. Suddenly console buyers have an option to get way way way more software. Games sell systems. Again though this is all if it is priced right.
