This was the rare case where I preorder a game. The demo sold me thoroughly and I knew it would be good. Other developers should take note on the power of demos.

Totally making a Geena Davis character

@Jayslow 100%. Valhalla sucked mainly because the setting was drab and boring to me. The equipment was mostly stupid looking, leathers and cloth and running around looking like you are wearing 10 fabric coats at the same time. This has potential to have badass weapons and armor and a great setting. I probably won't finish it, but will get a good 50 hours of fun in before I move to the next game and that's just fine to me. I'm hoping the main character is quick and nimble amd can flip over *****.

@Totheteeth Two was the worst imo and nothing to do with it not being open world. Too many assets were reused over and over and it became repetitive. The characters were cool though and I enjoyed the fighting.

I bet it slips to Q1 2025. Bioware is gone if this isn't a huge success. I'm rooting for them. I have loved the Dragon Age series for a long time. I personally thought Inquisition was excellent and DAO is in my top 10 of all time

@Hyena_socks It's Unicorn Overlord, not Overload lol. And yes there are mentions of a legendary unicorn so far so I think there will actually be something about them later on.

This game is incredible. I've already spent 6 hours in the demo and it seems like there is a lot more. Wow.

The demo was fun. Was awesome to find the hidden Comet materia and play as Sephiroth. Will wait for PC release though.

Just waiting for Valve to release the Steam Home Deck so Sony will have some real competition hardware wise

@NotSoCryptic It's not the price increase, it's the no refund policy and no support when you have issues. Sorry you wrote a book after your assumption though.

For the first time since plus was available, I'm letting my account lapse. Tired of Sony and their anti consumer policies. I think I have 6 more months

@Ward_ting Yeah I shut off my renewal. Probably an unpopular opinion here, but I'm about done with Playstation due to their lack of consumer friendly service. Poor support if you have issues with anything, no refunds, and now a price hike on the service, it was just the final straw for me. I'm heading to PC at last. Now all the big games get released on PC eventually so not really missing out on much.

Awaken Realms is a large campaign board game company and makes excellent games. They also own Gamefound which is a board game centric Kickstarter. They're a pretty neat company and hope to see this be a success for them.

I've been asking for this for awhile. Except with OLED. Grrr why didn't they just go all the way?

I would caution people about getting this day one. I'm loving the game but please wait for the all clear from reviewers that is playable before spending your money. PS generally doesn't offer refunds or support that is worth anything if you have issues. Hopefully it's a smooth launch.

@Vega37 Disagree. I don't buy $70 games. That has made me stop buying those games day 1. After the initial fomo wears off, it's easier to wait. And then games like Horizon FW or Ratchet and Clank that I would have bought in the past, they were on PS plus. They lost $120 just off those 2 games from me. Maybe they make it up on the extra 10 bucks off of everyone else and I'm a rare case, I don't know. But the price hike was a wake up call for me on how much money I was spending just to play a game on release that was inferior in a lot of cases to the game you get months or a year later.

My brother moved to game fly after the hike. So there is another example. I just wonder if the hike is really helping the bottom line. How many more me's are out there?

I remember when PushSquare was talking about this game like it was going to change the industry. Too bad it didn't live up to its potential.

@CKFilms Yep. No reason with their skill they can't create a CoD competitor. I always liked Killzone better than CoD anyways.

@cassiel Yes, I have reinstalled the game at Square Enix's request and the same thing is happening. Now they want me to rebuild the database on the PS5. I'm dubious whether this will work but I am going to try it anyways. I am using Performande mode, which is supposed to be less strenuous than the graphics mode, but I will try graphics to see if there is still problems.

@my_dude I don't believe it is a PS5 issue as every other game works perfect. Never had an overheating message and again this happens sometimes when cold booting the game, so it's not overheating. I even checked the vents and its super clean. Square Enix support did say there are other users reporting these issues but it seems the number is very small. Thanks for the well wishes.

@Neptunes No, horizontal, disc version, ton of airflow.

I play on performance mode and the game crashes constantly. It has nothing to do with overheating as it happens right after booting the game up sometimes. Last night was the final straw, I can't even complete a battle.

Contacted Square enix support and I've tried all the usual stuff except rebuilding the database. So I'll be doing that this evening I guess. Pretty disappointed, it seems like only a very small amount of users are being impacted by this.

@NEStalgia Things change and evolve. It's not like XV was just like XII or XII was just like IX. FF is what Square Enix makes it. It's their baby and good on them for having a new direction and making it good. Their job is to make money and this game is going to make a shipload.
