@Propaperpusher oh definitely the worst studio purchase that Sony has ever made. 99% of new live service games fail so why not use the studio they overspent on to make D3 which will have the highest chance of success. The alternative is they cut their losses and close Bungie down which would be a shame as their games feel great to play
@Oram77 I think Pete Pardons split the team to try and do multiple projects which had a horrible knock on effect to D2. Marathon is a great niche game but will never reach the player base of Destiny.
I’ve tried playing moss on multiple occasions but every time I get the psvr2 out one of my kids magically appears 10 mins in asking to have a go 🤣 I will play these eventually as I need a psvr2 platinum for my collection. I wonder if there will be a upgrade or downgrade path if you already own both
I got the platinum for mixtape on Thursday such a great experience with a fantastic soundtrack. Jumped into Marathon for a bit but it wasn’t grabbing me so I decided to replay all the uncharted games, im halfway through Drakes fortune and it definitely rough but enjoyable
@PloverNutter I only played the DLC once and it was really bad. You could be right, EA could of told them they weren’t getting a 4th game so tie it up in the DLC I just found the whole story of 3 to be poorly written and tedious. The best part was when your in the ship graveyard near the start once they get to the planet it goes downhill really fast
I was holding out for a dead space 2 remake but I guess it’s never going to happen now. I wouldn’t want a dead space 4 as the way the took the story in 3 was nuts. My wish would of been for them to remake 2 and reimagine 3 to make it a trilogy with a definitive end
This was my first Platinum on PS5 and made me dust off my psvr to get my 1 and only VR platinum in Astrobot rescue mission. I absolutely adore these games and they are just a joy to play. Hopefully the little bots next adventure isn’t too far away
After binging the Maul tv series I had a desire to play something Star Wars so I’m doing a new game plus play through of Jedi survivor. It definitely runs a lot better on my pro than it did when I played it at launch. Heard a lot of good things about mixtape so might buy that after I’m finished
I really enjoyed my time with Marathon and will definitely drop back in from time to time. It does need more mode types to play to make it more appealing to casual players. A single player story type mode would be great for people to learn the maps and events
Finally got my Marathon platinum last weekend which took me over 200 hours to finally reach level 100. Polished off coffee talk and gardens between platinum runs so I’m a bit stuck now. Have first light preordered so don’t want to start anything big so may play some 3rd person action game to get me in the swing.
i’m level 95 in Marathon so 5 more levels to go for my platinum then i need a break for a while. still really enjoying it but solo games feel like camper hell at the minute
Probably Marathon getting close to my platinum now, just have to hit level 100. Got 139 hours played so fa,r probably 20 more for the plat. Still loving it and enjoying the free kit mode they’ve added as a trial
@Scottyy the finale of split fiction is amazing and something I’ve never seen before. I’ve loved all their games and can’t wait to see what’s next for them
Yeah I’m nowhere near good enough for Cryo yet but maybe later on in the season when the sweaties have had their fill. Still only level 28 and I think I need to unlock quite a few upgrades for my runner so it’s something to look forward to. Still really enjoying the 3 maps I’m playing solo grinding out those contracts
I put 1 hour into the server slam and it just didn’t click with me at all. A week after launch I decided to give it another go as my son was having a blast with it. It was a brutal learning curve and i still wasn’t enjoying it but then it clicked, I’ve since put over 30 hours in and I love every run even the ones when I get eliminated. It can be deviating when you lose a great loadout but when you extract after a great run there’s no better feeling. When I’m not playing Marathon I’m thinking of Marathon
I couldn’t care less if I’m honest. I buy a few games on release and certain games that I’m interested in but don’t have the urge to play immediately I’ll wait till they drop to a price I’m willing to pay or wait till they come to PSplus extra. If they were doing dynamic pricing for new releases then it would be different
Really enjoyed my time with this it’s a shame that pixieopus was closed. Currently doing my speedrun on RE9 before I take on the Insanity playthrough think I’ll get it done in about 3 hours
@trev666 I can be a pain to get hold of the psvr adaptor if playing on ps5. I got mine as soon I was able to but don’t know if Sony are still making them anymore
One of my favourite platinum trophies and my only one on the psvr. Wish they would do a psvr2 version so I can play it again. I’ve started moss about 10 times now on my psvr2 and every time one of my kids comes and annoys me until I let them play instead.
@GamingGod it’s been a while since I played a Lego game so might play that with my youngest son. It takes two is fantastic if you want a great co-op game with the Mrs. Love a way out too but didn’t like what you had to do in the end, played that with my oldest son (who’s a much better gamer) and he destroyed me 🤣 looking forward to what Hazelight do next. I wish I could go back and play the order but I just can’t play games at 30fps anymore, must be my old age. Going to give Marathon a go when the server slam starts to see if it’s for me, was a big Destiny 1&2 player but fell off after final shape. I just wish they had a single player story baked into the product so I could of explored the world at my own pace first
@GamingGod The Order was my first ever platinum, I really enjoyed it and thought a sequel would have fixed a lot that was wrong with it. I thought the world and premise were outstanding. Tales from the boarderlands was the best story they’ve done in the franchise. Got 14 platinums last year and on the beach is my 2nd this year after thank goodness your here..Got less than 2 weeks for RE9 so might see if there’s a small game I can squeeze in beforehand. Will be starting my replay of split fiction with my son soon. Happy gaming 👍🏻
@GamingGod I wish I thought of that 🤣 I’ve got my PlayStation to record a 30 second clip when I drop a plat. I think I’ll still jump back in from time to time to do the odd delivery and listen to the fantastic soundtrack. What you playing now? I’m thinking of getting the new Doom game while it’s on sale
I have the platinum and don’t remember a thing about it 🤣 finally got my on the beach platinum today 102 hours I think I know every inch of Australia now
Continuing death stranding 2 today. I did get a little annoyed last night playing as I had planned to save and come off after I made one more delivery but then got stuck in a 40 minute cut scene that I wasn’t expecting
@GamingGod thanks for the tips I’m really early in the game so only just started in Australia. It feels a lot easier handling BT’s this game as I had a load of trouble in the original. I spent 4 or 5 hours setting up a zip line system in the first game that really help me get a lot of legend of ledgers ranks so getting 5 star ranks at all outposts became a lot quicker. I’m really looking forward to spending a lot more time in this world
@HRdepartment yeah I’ve had it since launch and tried to start it so many times but I can be daunting knowing it’s going to take up a hundred hours to fully complete
I’ve got the platinum too. I like a nice easy fun game now and again. Finally started Death stranding 2 and I think it may take me till RE9 comes out till I can get the Plat in that 🤣

I would have thought making Destiny 3 would have been a sure fire live service hit. There’s a ready made fanbase ready for a brand new start
