I just started Lost in Random, and am working on my second playthrough of FF7 Remake, PS5 version this time. On the board game side, I'm wrapping up my first campaign of Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth.

Hold up, was Outcast acclaimed? I'd been curious when it hit sub five bucks on sales in the past, but reviews seemed pretty critical. Was it just the PS4 version that was bad?

@Enuo I'm pretty certain he won't. I think only Viacom has licensing rights at this point. It may be worth looking into, though. UPDATE: Yeah, no worries, he's completely cut off from the property.

I generally have trouble completing Tales games. I usually hit the 15-20 hour mark and stop caring. I'll watch for a price drop on this one. I'm currently wrapping up Ys IX, which - like Lacrimosa of Dana before it - is fantastic.

Well, that's a massive letdown. I'm honestly pretty surprised it made it this far into development.

@Nepp67 Yeah, you've hit on one of my favorite past times: lying about which Saints Row games I've played. 🙄 Most of those things you're talking about are story beats, which of course they're not talking about here. I'm talking gameplay. But you have your opinion, I have mine.

@Nepp67 I've played through the entire series. 1 is the only one that took itself even remotely seriously. This one looks like it's closer in tone to 2, which I think was absolutely the best one, so that sounds good to me. I just think it's funny how quickly some people are ready to break out the torches.

People are weird. This looks fantastic, and there was nowhere else to take the series after the kitchen sink approach to the world in IV. A reboot makes perfect sense.

Seems pretty close to the general consensus. I'll pick it up one day as a franchise fan, but it's going to need to be sub-$25.

I loved the first game, but there's plenty of room for improvement. Larger park areas and rides please!

I feel like this may be more of an Ultimate Alliance successor than X-Com. I'm down for either.

I'm in, because I'm a nerd about Marvel, but the pacing of these cut scenes is really off. I feel like everything should be moving a little quicker, dialogue included.

This looks great. I wish we could get a remaster of the original. The PS2 version on PS4 is rough stuff.

It could use a reboot. I really enjoyed 1-3 (with 2 being the clear best), but found 4 really tiresome and just not fun. Looking forward to this.

I'm nearing the end of this on Switch. It's short, but interesting, and fun to "work with" Osgood. To add my two cents to the other discourse, I like Jodie's Doctor, but haven't found the storytelling to be very good. I felt the same with the Twelfth.

There is no way the PS5 upgrades for either Cyberpunk or Witcher drop this year. I can't decide whether I care or not.

I really can't wait for this. LiS 2 was a minor stumble but still good, and I love 1 and Before the Storm. Seeing Steph again will be great.

I loved both games, especially, and apparently against popular opinion, The Fractured But Whole. I'll be curious to see what direction this takes. And I haven't watched the show in a decade.

This wasn't even on my radar, but sounds right up my alley. I'll check it out for sure.

@Perryg92 Yeah, it absolutely wasn't fixed. Nothing is listed in 4k. I might try to reinstall the app, though I've got a feeling it won't change.

@Perryg92 And on the subject of Disney+, it would be nice to actually be able to watch movies in 4k on my 4k console through my 4k TV. But nope. The app doesn't support 4k on PS5. I have to go through my Smart TV, which is buggy. Infuriating.

Are they still going through with making it take even longer to level? I wouldn't mind going through the campaign again on PS5 or taking T'Challa and Clint for a spin, but not if leveling is even MORE of an obnoxious grind.

I'm old enough to remember a time BEFORE Blockbuster, when video stores were all just local places. Waxworks and Movie Warehouse. Blockbuster kind of ruined video stores for me.
