It's time for steel battalion line of contact to come back I reckon. I could quite happily put another 1000 or so hours into that. Even better, with modern netcode we might even get a 5v5 to work!
Just give us everything from bad company 2 vietnam please. Oh, and 'par for the course' too.
Battlefield in its prime!
Whatever maps they throw in, I just can't wait. I got my boys into bf5 and we've had a great time playing together, so it looks like I'm buying 3 copies when it releases!
Just demon souls for me. There's a couple of games in the plus collection I've not played yet too, so will give those a whirl while I wait for everything else to get cheaper...
Killzone could definitely fill a space in the ps5 library after the recent studio acquisitions. It's been a while since sony got into the aaa shooter market. Mercenaries was great and showed that there's more to offer from the series, especially if they're given the time to make the game all it could be. They now have the hardware to deliver a really great game, and we know guerilla are capable. I'd love to see it
Not fussed about price, date or back cap. Just give me demon souls and I'll be happy for a couple of months 🙂 I'll be buying both day one if I can get a pre order in, so it's all about the games from there on...
I see the words "earning call" and "investors". This statement is not aimed at consumers. I suspect what he's implying is that they can sell extra copies on ps5 at effectively a free cost to EA because the ps4 version carries all the development costs. I would not expect to see anything from EA that's free to consumers.
Already had the chance to play those games for the last 7/15/20 years... if they're still in my backlog then I guess I'm never getting round to them. Chances are, if I fork out for a day one console then I'm playing ps5 games and never looking back. Only thing I'd go back to play is bloodborne, but I won't need that seeing as I'll be on demon souls remake day one 😀
Time to grab planetfall I think. Liked what I saw in the trial, a nice cross between civ and xcom. Might as well add firewatch to the backlog too while I'm at it!
Love that there's no trophy linked to difficulty, this is just for personal satisfaction! If it kicks my arse then I'll knock it down, but I'd rather try the challenge first and see how I go.
Wasn't on my radar, but now I'm interested. Loved beat saber. Kinda fallen out love with vr lately though, to the point that I've disconnected it all. Needed the USB slot for extra storage, and had to hook up straight to the tv for hdr and 4k.
Hope they make it all a little easier to use come ps5... Can't be arsed to keep swapping leads out to try to get the best setup for each different game I play!
Finally picked up hellblade. Looking forward to playing it at last. Tempted on the xcom2 dlc, loved my first playthrough and always meant to go back one day for another run.
They can't allow early reviews cos they're waiting until the scale goes up to 11.
New goat incoming lol
But seriously, I think they've earned our confidence by now. No one else has their track record. They've gone from strength to strength the last few years. Hard to see how they can improve on bloodborne, but I can't wait to see what they've got
@Gamer4Lyfe Gameplay was fine? Wish I could find out! I'm one of the few who completed andromeda, and enjoyed it for what it was. I like the clunkiness of mass effect as long as the powers and combos are in there. Give me choice. Everything I've seen looks good on paper, but it's worth nothing if you can't even play. We're weeks from release, and this was billed as a demo, not a server test. I expected to be looking at teams, loadout, etc to find the depth that might keep me addicted, like Destiny has for the last few years. Massively disappointed so far.
I was all set to pre order on amazon this morning. Was just waiting to get hands on and see it first hand. Got my friend code and logged in, walked round the tower area, jumped in a suit, and... That's it. A whole day (on and off) spent trying to even do the first mission and see how it plays.... Never even made it passed the loading screen. Sorry, but you get one chance to impress (especially with the price of games these days). I'm definitely out for launch day. If my friends are still playing after a few weeks then I may jump in, but this has killed any excitement I had going for anthem
Loving the vr mode. Can't see why they couldn't give the option for the whole campaign, and even online, in vr though. It just works so well.
I was worried that it might be a bit rough, but I been barrel rolling and throwing it about no problems. The ability to look all around adds so much to the game, like you said above - it actually makes you feel like you're playing better!
I spent about 3 months trying to get into this game and it didn't click. Then I watched a speedrunner (heyzeusherestoast) and it made me realise that you have to play fast and aggressive. He beat Gascoigne with the starter level and weapons in under 5 minutes from starting the game.... It had taken me about 20 hours to get to the same point by carefully trying to take out everything in yarnham. Once I switched style it finally clicked and I was addicted. A few weeks later the platinum and all dlc bosses were mine! This was my first souls game and made me fall in love with from's work. Bloodborne sits right at the top of my favourite games list and the trophy I'm most proud of. True masterpiece.
I don't get the online focus criticism. I've barely touched online, yet happily spent around 100 hours in gt sport single player. There's so much to do as it stands, and they keep adding more to keep me coming back every few weeks. Amazing game. Amazing value. I must have spent 30 hours alone just flying round the ring in vr.... Never gets old!
Hope there's an option to turn off the halo! I always play in cockpit view, but not sure I could handle having that thing block out half the screen for the entire time spent with the game
Yeah bloodborne should definitely be in there somewhere. The coop setup is a bit of a pain at times, but there's nothing like the satisfaction of working together to wreck a boss!
Love this game. Love it even more in vr! Glad they're adding time trials. I can understand why online wasn't vr, but always thought it was weird you couldn't do the single player stuff. Time to start running laps of the ring again!
Bought the order day one and I liked it. Not every game needs to be open world and 50 hours plus. Don't care what they make next with that engine. It's beautiful. Worth the price of entry just to gawp at the visuals
Mostly I'm planning on playing rugby 2018, spectator edition, with beer dlc.
When I make my way back to the ps4 its going to be gt sport miles, dirt rally dailies, battlefront 2 challenges , division global event, and some more bloodborne. Loving it all too much to choose just one, so I'm mixing it all up!
And sold! Been tempted for a while. Free dlc plus a sale price has sealed the deal
I trialed this with vr and a wheel setup a few weeks back at a demo booth, and was well impressed. After a few corners I really got to grips with it and started being able to push the limits. Very immersive with the force feedback etc. Enough so that I picked up a t150 as my Xmas pressie (thanks Mrs wiz!).
Probably my game of the year that year, and certainly the one that stood out most and stays with me even now. So many games are forgotten once the credits roll, but LiS is one of the few I wish I could wipe from my memory and do it all again. Sign me up for more of whatever they want to do next, especially if they nail the soundtrack in the same way!
Killzone 3 in 3d with the sharpshooter was awesome, I beat the whole game that way. Sharpshooter was great for house of the dead too, so I'm well up for another gun peripheral. I've had this on preorder since it first went up on amazon.
I'm a bit annoyed they didn't just support the old sharpshooter on ps4 though, I don't see what this does that's any different apart from it all being built in.
Seeing how on rail shooters work so well in vr I'm really hoping it gets some decent games that support it in the future.
Looks good to me. Loved killzone 3 in 3d with the sharpshooter. Vr takes that too the next level. Price is right I guess, could easily have been more. Just hope the game is decent, previews have been positive, so worth a punt.
Backlog, backlog, too many games coming out at once, must resist, must resist... Yeah probably getting it...
I've just had a two week binge on witcher and this may be too similar, don't want to feel burnt out so I may wait on this one. As much as I want it day one, I'll probably hold out for a few weeks then pick it up when I have time to get stuck in.
From what I've seen so far I'm not planning on buying it, even though I used to love the original ghost recon. ubisoft games all seem to have gravitated towards the same template lately, which doesn't do much for me. I preferred it when they each filled their own space... Splinter for stealth, recon for strategy, rainbow for action fps, ass creed for open world, etc. Now they all play the same just with different skins. This recon reminds me a lot of division in terms of gameplay...
I'm willing to at least give the beta a go though and see if it can change my mind!
Impulse bought the last guardian so going to get stuck into that if the kids ever let me on my ps4! Managed to play about the first hour earlier and already love trico... So adorable.
Why buy day one when you can wait three weeks and get it half price? I think a lot of people got stung before Xmas. Nothing worse than seeing a game slashed in price before you even got a chance to complete it.

Amazing month. So much choice. Until dawn was the stand out for me, so much fun. Atmosphere is great and really feels like you're there. Jump scares work great and really got me at times!
Honorable mention to battlefield, a real return to form. Loving it so far.
Also Driveclub vr, if you can get past the graphics then the game is a solid as ever. The sense of immersion really helps with picking breaking points and hitting apexes.
Got mine through from amazon this morning. Hooked up nice and easy and straight into Driveclub. It's a game I love anyway so playing in vr it had to be first up! I knew to expect a hit to the visuals, and you really notice it at first, but once I was in the action it was all good. Loving it so far.
Tried battlezone, a lot of fun but I came away from the demo a bit queasy. Then tried stardust - more queasy! Going to take a while to get my vr legs!
Having a quick break, then looking forward to playroom when the kids get in... That looks a lot of fun, then tonight it's all about until dawn when the kids go to bed
Loving the new raid. Not so much the grind. Don't think I'll quite be ready for hard mode...
Personally I think they got the balance just right with the raid as it is, it's a tough but fair fight. If someone goes down you can still claw it back and get through, unlike the last raid where you were better off wiping. Let's hope they don't add too much to hard mode and ruin the fun!
Psvr for me (Driveclub and until dawn are top of my list), closely followed by battlefield. Really want tomb raider too, but it's a pretty expensive month, and seeing as they made me wait a year already I think a few more months to pick it up on sale is fine...
I'm mostly interested in psvr now. Really hoping to see some more of rigs in particular as I think that's where I'll be spending most of my time come the end of the year! Could use a few more vr games to get hyped about though. Day one looks like it'll have plenty of games coming, but not many really stand out as must have...
I'm in day one. Liked what I played in the beta so looking forward to release. Wouldn't be surprised if there's server issues in the first few days, but seeing as it ran well enough in the beta hopefully they got things covered.
I've been sorting my loft out ready for moving house. Dug out all my old consoles and been firing them up today to see what still works. Got my original xbox hooked up at the moment and getting stuck in to some steel battalion (my all time no. 1 game). Got a few other classics there to keep me busy, crimson skies, xiii, full spectrum warrior, grabbed by the ghoulies, amped, conker reloaded, rainbow 6 black arrow ... The list goes on! Damn xbox had it good back then, a shame so many ip's got dropped and we were left with just halo gears fable and forza.

Yup... Just release demon souls day one.
Automatically best launch ever, even if that's the only game available lol

We need a vote for "I would have bought it but it's not sekiro".
Unfortunate timing on its release date. Any other month I probably would have picked it up, but there's only one game on my radar at this point!
Re: ANTHEM's 1.03 Update Promises Fixes and Stability
All good for me so far.
So much better than the demos.
Really liking what I've played so far, running smooth and bug free.
Not tried the hdr since the patch, will check it out tomorrow. Looks pretty sweet already though to be honest.
Re: BioWare Still Working on Improvements for the ANTHEM Public Demo
Mostly I got to try out the loading screen...
When I eventually got in the game though I quite liked what I played. Looking forward to giving it a proper go this weekend.

More gran tourismo for me... Just got gold on the nordschlieffe lap (after about 7 attempts where I was missing by 3-4 seconds!).
Maybe a bit of destiny if the clan are on. Despite the stick they're getting I'm still enjoying the game in small doses.
And it's Sunday tomorrow, so another grand prix weekend in F1 2017 to keep me sane through the close season!

Killzone 3 in 3d with the sharpshooter was awesome, I beat the whole game that way.
Sharpshooter was great for house of the dead too, so I'm well up for another gun peripheral. I've had this on preorder since it first went up on amazon.

Re: Reminder: You Can Download the Ghost Recon: Wildlands Open Beta on PS4 Now
From what I've seen so far I'm not planning on buying it, even though I used to love the original ghost recon. ubisoft games all seem to have gravitated towards the same template lately, which doesn't do much for me.

Re: Game of the Month: Top 4 PlayStation Games of October 2016
Amazing month. So much choice.
Until dawn was the stand out for me, so much fun. Atmosphere is great and really feels like you're there. Jump scares work great and really got me at times!
Honorable mention to battlefield, a real return to form. Loving it so far.
Also Driveclub vr, if you can get past the graphics then the game is a solid as ever. The sense of immersion really helps with picking breaking points and hitting apexes.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your PlayStation VR Launch Experience Been Like?

It's a game I love anyway so playing in vr it had to be first up! I knew to expect a hit to the visuals, and you really notice it at first, but once I was in the action it was all good. Loving it so far.

Dicklebot all the way.
