After a couple of months off I was trying so hard not to get back on the wheel, but yesterday I caved and preordered ttk. God damn it! This game is like a drug... You know it's not good for you but you just can't stop...
Must admit though I'm liking a lot of the changes, sounds like some good fixes in there. Glad the old gear is getting thrown out, my biggest disappointment with crota and poe was that the new gear wasn't an improvement over the vog stuff. At least now we'll have something worth playing for.
Poe and the new strike were both decent enough . Not so keen on a couple of the boss fights so far though, 34 boss this week with trickle was a poor choice - more frustrating than difficult. And skolas with arc was a right pain too. Problem with the dlc is they've gone too far away from the rng and grind! After week one I had all 3 characters at level 34 and upgraded all the exotics I'm remotely interested in using. Only thing left to play for now is the new exotics and a bit more light to upgrade my favourite legendary guns, so I can see me being done with destiny again after next week...
I pretty much stopped playing 2 months back. Got one of each toon all at 32. Got all exotic armors and all weapons apart from 3. Got most of the raid guns and gear and most of the iron banner stuff too. Still enjoy playing the game but just not got any reason to until the next dlc. Crota was pretty disappointing to be honest, nowhere near the quality of vog. That said, I'm always happy to run nightfalls or raids to help people through, so if anyone is interested then give me a shout.
@Dark-_CERBERUS I wonder how different it might have been if they'd explained more in game... I read up on the website before hand to get the back story before release, and ended up really getting into the whole story and setting. Yes it had some flaws, but overall I enjoyed my time with it, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes next.
@kyleforrester87 Yeah I agree, a memorable play through for the story but not enough gameplay to make me want to go back through to clean up the trophies. A thoroughly enjoyable one and done though
It's all about helldivers for me this week. loving that game. With a side order of surgeon simulator courtesy of the us flash sale... So much fun after a few beers!
I've been all digital for the last few years. I just prefer the convenience, plus the cheaper prices on US psn. Saves me money on anything I'm buying day one, then most other stuff I pick up from the eu store in sales. Between ps3, ps4 and vita I must have over 300 digital games now. Biggest problem is storage!
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Just because it wasn't arcadey enough for you, doesn't mean it's rubbish. I'd say it's pretty damn good at what it does. Track and point to point races, good handling but without the full on sim side of setups and tweaking. Stunning looks, loads of content and a decent multiplayer too. I'm having a lot of fun with it.
I got one of each toon, all at level 32 with almost every exotic in the game. Over 400 hours combined.
I'm 37 years old, but I'm pretty sure if someone deleted one of my toons then I'd be in tears too!
A real bad thing to do.
I must admit though... I did laugh when I saw this!
@kupo I heard it was easy so went straight in on hard with aim assist off. Seems like the best way to play if you want a bit of challenge from the game. Shame there's not another level above that cos I'm still blasting through it pretty quick. Back on topic... This weekend is all about getting the plat on the order, and getting the iron banner scout rifle in destiny for me!
Not sure how many of you have actually played it and how many are just going on reviews. I think they've done a great job. New ip, new engine, new system, first proper console title for rad. It's a really solid effort that I'm thoroughly enjoying (up to chapter 8 so far). I love the setting and the characters, graphics and audio are out of this world, the gameplay is great (typical tps fare but that's fine with me). A real solid basis, and not far off being great. I agree that there's room to improve, but now that the technical side is nailed down I reckon they can make a real leap with a sequel if they can concentrate on the content. Let's hope they get the chance.
@JaxonH Compare uncharted 1 to tlou. You saying naughty dog were lacking talent when they made uncharted? As always, it takes time for the tools to come good, and experience with the tools for the developers to learn to get the best out of a system. For a first effort with a new engine on a new system it's amazing what they've managed to do. I can't wait to get my hands on it and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do in the future.
Free dlc is always appreciated! I picked this up last week when it dropped to £20, can't go wrong at that price. Well impressed with what I've seen so far. Is there any life left in the pushsquare club? I'd like to join up and do some challenges etc if there's room...
Been so close to buying pvz in the last couple of sales... Only thing stopping me was my destiny addiction and knowing I'd never have time to play it. So glad I waited! Free games are always great but even better when EA are footing the bill! What with ea access and dragonage, and now free games, they've really started to turn their rep round this year. I'm loving the new EA.
Still as addicted as ever! Don't know what it is about this game, but it got me hooked. As a single player game it's average, but it's the best Co-op I've played in a long time. Can't wait for the dlc to drop on Tuesday so we can start working on tactics for the new raid!
Come on Mr postman... I wanna play already! Really looking forward to this one. If anyone's up for some coop then give me a shout, it looks pretty good.
@Godsire- I actually thought the shi@#y resistance game was alright. although it looked a little dated compared to something like killzone it played well and had that good old resistance feel to it. If a fan of the ps3 series then you'd enjoy a blast through the vita one. Good to see mercs still getting some love... Best game in the series after kz2. Still amazes me how they got it to run so well on vita!
Would be the Driveclub upgrade for me but I promised the kids they could have Skylanders... Guess I'll have to make do with the free version till payday!
Never been a big souls fan, don't think I have the patience! Played for a couple of hours last night though and impressed with what I saw. Got as far as the boss but got whooped there, but seeing as to start with I was getting killed by everything I was quite pleased just to make it that far. Steep learning curve for sure but satisfying once you start getting a feel for it
Most excited about Driveclub - was impressed when I played it at egx last year so can't wait to see what they've done with the extra time. Pretty sure I'll be getting the full version of that one, but will take the chance to try it for free before splashing the cash.
55 hours for me without a single legendary weapon, then I get two dropped within an hour of the patch! Still enjoying the game either way but just wish I could get a group together to try the raid, think I've seen everything else several times over now.
39 hours in and up to level 25. Got a couple of legendary items so far and I'm working on two exotic weapon bounties, then I'll be set to try the raid and higher level strikes...
Looks great from what I've seen so far, but I'll be waiting for reviews and feedback before jumping in. With so many other big games out around the same time I can see this one struggling simply due to a lack of marketing... Reviews will need to be amazing for it to get any real attention.
Tempted with plants v zombies on ps4 at that price. Can't believe it's dropped so quick. This is probably the price it should have been at launch. Is it worth picking up, or is it just a wasteland of empty servers?
Not a lot for me. Bored of cod and ass creed. Never liked far cry or gta. Driveclub covers my racing needs. Kids will have Skylanders in October so they can wait for lbp and Lego. Dragon age is a maybe but I'll probably wait and pick it up cheap after Xmas, they usually drop in price quick.
The co-op side to this game is great if you have the right people to play with, but if there's a mis-match of levels then it's pretty much broken... I got to level 10 with someone on the first day, but by the time I got on last night he was up to level 14. I joined his game but couldn't do anything, even shooting at dregs came up as immune because I was a few levels lower, so I gave up on that and quit. Then I had a look at my friend list to see who else I could team up with, but the was no one else around the right level. No point me joining a level 6 for example as I would just dominate everything and ruin the fun for the other player. I ended up just doing some crucible and then a strike with randoms.
Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. Love the site and its nice to see the comments sections are always a good place for friendly discussion and banter! Helldivers for me, and grabbed super stardust too while I was at it - looks glorious on the big screen in 3d.
Throw another couple on the backlog!
