E3 2021 has confirmed that more publishers will be taking part in this year's all-digital event. It's officially added Square Enix (which we kind of already knew about), SEGA, Bandai Namco, and more.
The growing publisher roster now looks like this:
- Nintendo
- Xbox
- Capcom
- Ubisoft
- Take-Two Interactive
- Warner Bros. Games
- Koch Media
- Square Enix (New)
- SEGA (New)
- Bandai Namco (New)
- XSEED Games / Marvelous USA (New)
- Gearbox (New)
- Freedom Games (New)
Taking these additions into account, E3 2021 is set to be quite the show for Japanese publishers in particular — all of the big dogs are here. Well, aside from Konami, which recently announced that it would be pulling out of the event.
There's still no sign of Sony, either, but as we all know, the PlayStation maker doesn't like E3 all that much these days. It's highly likely that Sony will hold its own event(s) instead.
E3 2021 is set for the 12th June, running until the 15th June. Again, it'll be an entirely digital thing. Are you looking forward to it? Make some predictions in the comments section below.

Prediction: This is where Microsoft will announce jointly with Bethesda that Starfield will release end of 2021, or very early in 2022. An XBOX is on the horizon.
Kinda looking forward to this now. Kinda

OoooOoOoOoooOoh elden ring!
My fellow hollows, It's with great pleasure, that I announce to you that we will be disappointed at E3,
Happy Hollowing
I though SE was already confirmed. Or maybe it was just somebody assuming they'd be there?
Anyways, hoping to see some more FF16 action.
Not actually that bad a lineup. Hoping for some surprises.
I don’t entirely understand what everyone’s beef with E3 has been in recent years but it’s hard to get that hyped for it without Sony there. I do think they should be attending if even just to combat all the negative press lately. But with that being said I’m looking forward to it like I do every year.
I hope there's news for ff16 and ps5 version of octopath traveler 😃
@lolwhatno OOOOHHHH we will be disappointed by someone or something...
Can’t wait to see what lineup of games we’ll NOT be playing this year!! Exciting stuff ahead
Hopefully we get some news about Digimon Survive from Bandai Namco!
@blackndark LOL,
It will be someone, miyazaki! He loves to shatter our hope
Wonder if Sega being there will mean any news on a possible P5 Arena or Virtua Fighter news. Also I know XSeed only published some of the older Trails games but oh boy would I love to see the Crossbell games officially localized in the West. Please!
@Divergent95 Had totally forgotten about Digimon Survive. Hopefully we get something!
@Korgon Would be a dream come true but as far as I know, NISA holds exclusive publishing rights to Falcom's games now. I guess there's a chance that their contract only covered up until Cold Steel IV, but I can't see it going back to XSEED.
... We can always hope that NISA joins E3!
@lolwhatno lol, agreed. We should not get our hopes up. Although it's hard not to. I should better prepare my clown make-up.
"Keep your expectations low and you will never be disappointed."
Hopefully there's more Tales games that will be remastered or remade
I'm still loving E3 even though it will be different.
I did miss it last year as it should of been specially with the launch of the new consoles
Looking much better now
Just to clarify is this list everyone who will be giving a presentation?
Im really hoping square enix being there means more of FF16 and in turn a reason to even watch this
Sony leaves, everyone comes back!
Quite happy for a decent State of Play and Nintendo Direct on E3 weekend.
Naw I will look to Push Square to give me the rundown Then You Tube for any trailers if there is any to see.
@shonenjump86 I’m hoping for the new Sonic games next year.
I'd like to see Sony there. As much as digital presentations throughout the year are good for drip feeding info, there's nothing quite like the news-bomb that is E3 week.
@scottdevine48 maybe, I think an anniversary for Sonic is coming so there could be something. And if does happen I hope it’s something similar to Sonic Mania.
@shonenjump86 I think an Adventure style similar to Sonic 06 will be good.
@scottdevine48 @shonenjump86 @scottdevine48 A remaster of Sonic Colours is definitely coming. It was leaked in Germany a few weeks back by a localisation company.
Hoping something else is on the way too!
Ultimately if we could get through E3 without Microsoft announcing another acquisition, ill be happy
Take-Two Interactive? o.o"
@Rob_230 ah, I forgot about that Sonic Colors leak.
Without Sony there they might as well rebrand it Xbox E3 🙄
Trying not to get my hopes up, but I can't help but be hyped! Looking forward to whatever is announced/revealed or updated on at E3 2021.
E3 2021 Publishers I'll be keeping tabs on will be Nintendo, Capcom, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Warner Bros, Square-Enix, SEGA, and Bandai Namco.
@UltimateOtaku91 No the list is not complete, more publishers will be announced in due time.
Also yes though, everyone listed will be giving full presentations.
@TVRFLY Not to be confused with the co-op game "It Takes Two".
Take-Two Interactive owns Rockstar, who makes the Grand Theft Auto games.
@KidBoruto I said that , everyone knows who TTI is lol. I'm shocked to see them at e3 and didn't know about a game called it takes two
@TVRFLY My apologies for my own confusion then.
@KidBoruto all good dude ^-^ , just wondering if we'll get a midnight club and if they will show off gta ps5 update. We get that free
@TVRFLY I wouldn't put it past Rockstar to make us pay full price again for GTA 5.
@KidBoruto New Dlc coming , cant wait
