I find it weird that IOI still sends me emails about this game even though they severed ties with them.

I really wanna like this series but it’s been a mess for me. I played 2033 like a decade after it released so it played awful. I loved Last Light and hated Exodus. The reasons I hated Exodus were because the game was a blurry mess on PS4, frame rate was never stable when I needed to shoot, and I encountered a bug where I needed to go through a vent but it was bugged so I couldn’t progress, even after reloading my save. That bug caused me to drop the game entirely. I wanna give it another try since they released the PS5 version years ago but eh, so little time these days.

I’ll be waiting even longer for the Persona 6 “subtitle” that has additional content that Atlus and Sega will refuse to let people upgrade for.

@burninmylight I don’t have any older consoles as I’ve either given them away or they’ve died but I still have a backlog of like 400 games between my PS5, XSX, and switch 2. Plus my wishlist will continue to grow until these consoles stop putting out games which means at least a decade more of games! So yeah, I’m definitely good for the next 30 years of gaming until my hands become retirement age and I no longer have the reflexes to properly play. But really, time is the most valuable thing we have and like you, I’ve realized I most likely won’t beat even half the games I own before I croak and that’s fine. I’ll add to my backlog but I mainly buy games when they hit under a certain price. I only buy a handful of games at full price per year. Plus, with how long games are nowadays and how long it takes me to finish one of those games, yeah, I’ll be just fine if I never buy another console again. I would really like not to get priced out of gaming as it’s my favorite hobby but if we’re being realistic, there’s better ways to spend money.

I’ll be surprised if console sales don’t fall off a cliff for them this year.

PS: They could’ve put off price increases by firing Hulst, that’d probably save them millions!

In all seriousness, glad I got myself a launch ps5, a (used) pro, and a portal. I’ve been thinking this could probably be my last gen of gaming if the ps6 prices are out of control. Between my massive backlog from all 3 consoles and how little time I have these days, I’m honestly set for life at this point. YouTube walkthroughs are about to explode with views.

There’s a game in the wishlist section called 28 Floors: Outbreak. If you press on it, the picture literally has Nathan Drake on it.

@Reeneman I thought about doing that but the problem is there was a library bug until I downloaded this beta firmware. So I’m worried the bug might reappear if I delete it from my console. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see

I’m playing the “I have to work this weekend” game. :’) But I’ll probably have my partner play Pokopia tonight while I watch since I bought it for us to play and we played all of 5 mins so far. As for what I want to play, I don’t know. I finished RE9 a few days ago, incredible game and it looked unbelievable on my Pro. I might continue one of the 15 games I’ve started in the last 2 years. Maybe A Space for the Unbound? I really liked what I played of it but to get the true ending, you have to do the worst mini games imaginable and that’s why I put it on hold. Also, I made a howlongtobeat account recently and it hurts seeing my backlog. I don’t think I’ll finish all the games I have before I leave this earth in 40+ years.

RE9. Although I just put the game on pause because a part in the basement scared me so bad I can’t continue. What I thought was a cutscene only thing has turned out to be a gameplay mechanic. Capcom are evil.

I love the Norse GOW games but this seems like such a weird choice. I was hoping for a new IP. An entire game based on a character that is dead is just not appealing to me. I hate when characters that die get their own story after. But ultimately, it’s Cory working on it and odds are I’ll get it day one (depending on how it looks altogether). But at this moment, I’m just completely underwhelmed at this news. By the time this releases, Cory has spent 9 years on it? Insane.

@get2sammyb I meant the article where Sony confirmed PSSR 2 is out in March had an update. Not this article.

@1970sGamer I’ve seen people say it was already in the code but it didn’t make sense to me since the original PSSR2 launch date article said it would support RE9 on release. Just saw they updated the article to include that RE9 is already supported though.

The PS5 Grace model looks more like a PS3 model. Also, I’m confused. Is PSSR 2 in Requiem at this moment? I don’t know how Sony says it’ll be out in March but everyone says it’s already available in RE9. Confusing messaging.

I won’t be redeeming any of these. But it’s okay, backlog is overflowing at this point.

@Americansamurai1 Man, I would do evil things for a Puppeteer remaster. That game deserved so much better. Easily could’ve made it a PS4 launch title that would’ve sold more than it did but they sent it out to die.

I started Dying Light 2 earlier in the week and as of last night, deleted it. What an awful game. I really enjoyed the first one when it came out a decade(!) ago. I remember people were generally not big on this game but I bought it on sale when The Beast was announced because you got The Beast free if you had the ultimate edition. I try to finish games that I buy, unless I absolutely don’t like the first hour. I put 24 hours into this game hoping it’d get better but it didn’t. A YouTube comment said it best. “Dying light felt like a game made with love. Dying light 2 feels like Ubisoft made it.”

After deleting it, I booted up The Beast and it’s already way better than DL2. It also looks pretty damn good and the gore is insane. Also, I don’t have to spend 10 hours just to unlock sliding or other basic parkour moves! It’s great!

I don’t think that game hits 30. I hope this is an update and not a new edition to buy. This should be a free update with how poor the game runs. I remember trying it on Extra and the frame rate was so low I immediately stopped after stepping outside the house. I’ll definitely give it another go With this update since I bought the ultimate edition for $10.

Seems this doesn’t solve the hidden game issue in the game library. Gotta love it!

Something is broken on PlayStation and Sony hasn’t addressed it? I’m shocked!

@LiamCroft Has anyone in the team experienced a broken game library? I realized all my games that were hidden are no longer hidden and when you hide them, they don’t stay hidden once you leave the library. I don’t know if it’s a widespread issue but according to a Reddit post I saw when I googled the issue, someone had posted about it last week.

This is the only racing game I ever liked and also my first platinum trophy ever. Bought the remaster years ago and have yet to play it unfortunately. I loved this game. One of my favorites of all time.

@CorporateZombi PSVR2 got the typical Sony treatment of “we didn’t do enough to make this accessory successful so let’s kill all support for it!” Really disappointed they took all those games down. I got premium to play them but with not enough time in life, I never got the chance. Wasted my money getting premium.

@Splash_Woman Oh man. I finally finished the first Death Stranding two days ago and the credit sequence+exposition dump at the end felt like an hour. I was about to lose it. It was so unnecessarily dragged out. Ended up putting the ps5 in rest mode and let it run the next day.

Nah. PS Studios expansions while nice, take way too long to develop. By the time they come out, I’ve been long done with the game and it’s so confusing trying to figure out all the mechanics again so I just get whooped for a while. I’d rather they start working on a new inFamous or IP.

@Veritas7Ax this is why I only buy games when they’re on super sale. Indie games for less than 10 or AAA less than 20. I won’t be too upset when it eventually gets thrown into Plus or Gamepass.

Never played a Silent Hill game and never pulled the trigger on this one because the Pro issues so this’ll be a good test to see if I click with these games. Also never pulled the trigger on Until Dawn because it never hit a sale price I would buy it at so this is good news for me. It’s my favorite horror game so I’m excited to play it again.

@REALAIS I have definitely kept it running while cooking, cleaning, spending time with gf, etc so I def have way less hours played than it says haha. But I think they might have finally fixed the hours played across the board? Yesterday it was 27 hours on the app, in my profile, and within the game base itself. Usually the profile and game base hours were different by a large margin. Interesting!

So far it’s an 8. I’m like 20 hours in (27 according to the PS app but I don’t trust that) but only beat the Oni so far. I’m loving it, especially the exploration. It doesn’t feel like busy work like Tsushima did. Everything feels natural. I think the only thing I can knock it for is the difficulty and lock in camera. I started on hard and the bosses were ridiculous with how they spam blue/red attacks so I dropped it to medium. The lock in camera has been a huge hassle so I don’t even use it. I lock onto enemies and it’ll just randomly turn and mess me up. Trying to move the lock to different enemies is also just awful.

@DennisReynolds I always agree with your points but I feel like you’re just wasting time by responding to the people like the person you’re responding to in this article. If they were serious about boycotting a company because of something an employee said, they’d have to boycott every company and go live like a hermit. But they won’t because it doesn’t fit the narrative they tell themselves in their head. Best thing to do is block and move on because you’ll get nothing but deflection and just talking in a circle. Save yourself the time as that’s the most valuable thing we have!

@Ravix good to know! I remember being impressed with the Spider-Man 2 CE so I can’t wait to open this up tonight and add that mask to my display case. Just hoping and praying it’s at my door and someone didn’t steal it before I get home. Only had packages disappear twice in the last 2 years but big, expensive packages like this always have me nervous. It’s worse today because I picked up overtime so I’ll be home even later! Anxiety is killing me!

What about it makes you think that? Graphically doesn't look anywhere near as good as anything out these days and the animations all looked weird. Like the characters are moving like they do but their muscles are stiff or something. It doesn’t seem natural. I have a feeling this will be one of those super janky games that just doesn’t pull off what it sets out to do.

I’ve come to terms with the fact that our lord and savior Sly Cooper is permanently vaulted but it will never stop hurting when articles like these appear.

@Rich33 I think that hits the nail on the head. I’ve stopped watching any kind of showcase. I keep my expectations in check but still usually end up kinda disappointed. But that’s the name of the game these days. Games take longer than ever now. I just watch the separate trailers after. Time is limited so watching a livestream that you can’t fast forward makes no sense. My friends are the same.

I loved Tsushima and I bet I’ll love Yotei but good god I would want a new infamous after Yotei. It’s my favorite game franchise.

I can’t imagine very many of them played more than a few hours. I tried it last week for a couple hours and there was just no one online. Never got into a full lobby and it took forever to find a match with even one other player. Remedy should just cut it loose and move on.
