HoYoverse fans are still waiting patiently for Genshin Impact’s previously announced anime, but turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail may beat the dev’s open world adventure to the punch.
As part of a livestream earlier today, the Chinese juggernaut announced a partnership with Japanese animation powerhouse MAPPA for a new project led by Death Parade’s Yuzuru Tachikawa.
The three minute clip is described as a “concept trailer” in the press release, so Aha only knows how far it’ll go, but the animation is awesome.
This author’s particularly excited to see the emphasis on Kafka during the trailer, Honkai: Star Rail’s unquestionable best girl. Other popular characters like Blade, Firefly, and of course the Trailblazer himself/herself are also shown.
