Horizon and Deep Rock Galactic are my two faves this year but also the only two 2022 releases I’ve played thus far. Still chugging through Horizon two months later at 53 hours. I’m enjoying everything about Horizon except the part where I have to fight. Fighting robots in this game is a major step down from the first game and it’s all because they wanted to make loot a big part of it. I only found one ropecaster in the game and that was in the beginning and it was useless. I find myself just using the same bow and blastslings all the time. I hope they don’t go down the loot route again in the inevitable sequel. I’m going to drop the difficulty to easy so I can mow down enemies because I’m not really having any fun fighting. It’s still my favorite game of the year though. Until God of War that is.

@Snatcher it’s been 9 years since Sly 4. But same, I’ve been waiting for a new Sly ever since. Sony sent it out to die. I always said if they just delayed it for the PS4 launch, it probably would’ve sold gangbusters. Damn you Sony!!!

I’m 37 hours in and somewhere around 48% I believe. It’ll probably take me another 2-3 weeks for me to finish. Definitely going for the platinum too. Game is HUGE

That subtitle is the first time I chuckled at one in a long time. I hate love it.

Maneater was surprisingly good. Easy platinum too. I got the DLC but that end boss was just too hard and the races were annoying so I gave up on it. I don’t like giving up on games so this is a good excuse to download it again and try to finish it. It’s also makes for a great podcast game!

@Ultrasmiles Yeah, the comic was just there to fill in the gaps between Infamous 1 & 2. But Infamous is a wholly original IP from Sucker Punch, not something owned by DC.

I want to be excited but I’ll be surprised if it turns out to be a bigger game and not some top down survival game or something just as small.

I saw “Wanted” and immediately thought of the movie with James McAvoy. One day Wanted will make its return. One day.

I think about the Velocity games at least once a year and get sad they haven’t made a new one so this is exciting news!

Great. Hopefully the bugs are ironed out too. I got to a point where I literally couldn’t proceed and gave up. The gunplay sucked with how bad the frame rate was and it looked awful so I’m going to give this a try again.

@DTfeartheBEARD What they mean is you can’t get the digital version of the game for PS5 if you have the disc version on PS4. Star Wars is the only game that has offered to transfer a disc to digital. As long as you have the PS5 with the disc slot, you’ll be able to upgrade and play your copy.

Edit: It’s called Sojourner’s Truth. Very much feel the Twin Peaks vibe from this song. SO DAMN GOOD!

That blog post is weird. Someone definitely didn’t even bother to edit it. Under “The Power of PS5” part, it says We#re instead of We’re. It would be fantastic if this was another one of Kojimas stupid marketing things like he did with MGSV and Moby Dick Studios. I need to go watch that reveal and the interviews again. That was real dumb.

@romenyc I just saw they were having a sale for a month of PS Now on the PS5 store last week and subbed. I’m in the US so I don’t know if it was everywhere or just here.

Got PS Now for a dollar last week so that’s a “good” get. I’ll try out Avengers. Good thing I didn’t buy it when it was on sale.

Hey! I liked The Inpatient!

I ended up giving up on the game a like 3 quarters in because I literally got stuck in a level and couldn’t proceed. Safe to say I absolutely didn’t like this game which is a shame because Last Light was great. I’ll give it another go though. It was just plagued with bugs and the frame rate was so bad that it was so hard to shoot enemies and I got this game like a year and a half after release.

Decent game, I finished and got the platinum a few months ago. Decent for one or two playthroughs but going for the platinum wasn’t fun at all. Five playthroughs was overkill

This is why I wait a day before release to pre-order games. Been doing this for at least 3 years now and I’m never let down. I always preorder First party PS4 titles because I know the quality will be there. The buggiest game I’ve preordered was Days Gone and I knew that going in but I had an itch to play it so I got it day 1.

Pre-ordered yesterday morning and as my PS4 does every year, the game keeps crashing and I have to keep redownloading it until it finally decides it wants to work. I’ll probably spend the next 2 days repeating the cycle.

I just beat Odyssey a few days ago (DLC and platinum) and I hated those load times. Just pressing X to get to the main menu when you boot the game up took like a minute

That bot looks a lot like Wheatley and he did get launched into space at the end of Portal 2. Hmm.....

@charbtronic Are you talking about the cave that you find with a horde in it but it’s glitched with a low res textured wall blocking the entrance? If so, there should be another mission you have to finish before You’re able to start that one. Had to look it up after restarting the game like 3 times to find out that you have to finish the other missions available in order to start that one.
