@tallythwack yeah I know. Them saying Game of Thrones was an inspiration pretty much prepared me for what’s to come. Won’t stop me from playing the game but I’ll shed an invisible tear every time a chocobo gets killed. 😢

Don’t sound too excited Robert!! I’ll give FC6 a try. Been a while since I played a Far Cry game. Hopefully it isn’t terrible like FC5. Also will give Rogue Legacy 2 and Inscryption a try. Don’t imagine I’d care for them though. Especially Rogue Legacy 2 since I could never get passed the first boss in the first game.

Edit: That’s a HUGE update. Especially with titans like Peppa Pig. Pack it up Square and FFXVI. No point in even trying to compete.

The demo is what got me to preorder. I usually wait for reviews to preorder any game, (even first party games!) but I enjoyed the demo a lot. Only two negatives is the frame rate drops in the frame rate mode (hopefully it’s fixed when it comes out since it doesn’t seem like they’ll have a day one patch) and the fact that they hurt/murder animals way too much for my liking.

My birthday is coming up so looks like I’ll end up getting the VR2. I’ll definitely have to play this with it!

My bday is coming up and I’ve been thinking about getting one but man, I can’t in good conscience get one until there’s a big catalog of bigger games. I can’t believe they haven’t even ported some of their own first and second party VR games to VR2. I have a bunch of VR games I never got to play and I probably won’t ever get to play at this point.

@rusty82 how far did you get into 2? I’m not sure which comment you read but I disliked 2. I thought the first two episodes were really good but episodes 3-5 were hot garbage. The main characters were stuck in a cycle of making the same mistakes over and over again and never learned any lessons. By the start of episode 5, I just wanted it to end so I blitzed through it just to get the last bit of trophies. Then immediately deleted it.

@Andee The main characters suck. No character growth at all between them, especially the little kid. I absolutely hated him. You’re better off skipping it. When you’re ready for another cry, True Colors will be waiting for you!

@PenguinLtd The Artful Escape is a neat little game. It’s super colorful so it looks gorgeous throughout and had me grinning ear to ear for some of the “set pieces”. Has an easy platinum too if you care for trophies.

@Andee I played the first when it released and finally played Before the Storm and LIS2 in the past month after buying them years ago. BtS was good but I mostly hated LIS2. I only pushed through for the platinum. I liked the first 2 episodes but it dropped off a cliff for me on episode 3. But to answer your question, I’m enjoying True Colors. It’s a bit different from the previous games gameplay wise but I like the changes. Also, the game still retains the look of LiS but it looks so much better. Night and day difference compared to the previous games. I just finished episode 3 and really liked what they did in it. If you have Plus Extra, you can play it there.

PS5: Been playing through Life Is Strange True Colors. That first chapter ending ruined me. Also an easy platinum if you follow the guide. On my way to platinum 120! Also been playing the first Dead Island with my friend because it was $2 on the last sale. It’s awful but for some reason we continue to play it. Will begrudgingly play more on Sunday.

Switch: Been playing Paranormasight on my commute to work/lunch breaks. Haven’t touched it all week but will bring it tonight if I’m not too tired when I head out to work.

For a moment I was like Futurlab sounds familiar. Then read the first paragraph and was correct. Man do I miss the Velocity series.

I already own everything I would’ve been interested in. But I already have a ginormous backlog as it is between all 3 consoles so that just means I don’t have to add even MORE to what seems like a never ending pit.

Mega Man, which I’ll get for my Switch, Horizon, which is already preordered, and Star Wars, but I’ll wait for it to hit GamePass.

They should just cancel it already. Besides it being something no one wants from a BG&E sequel, its obviously just a money sink. But Ubisoft just loves their vaporware.

Amazing how you can’t get the Horizon collectible unless you get the trophies starting today. This whole program is honestly garbage. The campaign that’s out right now doesn’t even pop when you start a game. Sony needs to get it together because it just feels like they have one person in a broom closet working on this thing. Whoever signed off on starting this program last year when it clearly still isn’t ready is a donut.

@Ashkorsair They do this literally every month. Bought god of war on release in November and they put the points for it in December. It’s a pattern they do. Put the big game from the previous month as a campaign the next month. Guess it’s to try and convince those who don’t buy day one to get it sooner rather than later? But for 50 points, it’s not really a big deal. This program is cool to have but the part where you get money back is embarrassing. Got an Xbox back in November and they give you points like crazy. In these last 2.5 months, I’ve racked up enough Points to pay for game pass for the next 4 months. That’s $60 right there. Been using PS Stars since release and I’ve got just a bit over 2000 points which is just shy of $10. Sony is stingy for sure

@RoliePolie91 As much as I would love for them to remake DS2, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. This teams next game is Iron Man which is at least another 3 years out, and that’s if we’re being optimistic.

I wonder if they’ll fix the connection issues with this. My friend and I played it through to completion but not without the game kicking us to the menu literally no less than 3 times a session. Would have went for the platinum had it not done that every time

There’s been so many times where I almost pulled the trigger on DMC5, DB Fighterz, and Omno. Glad I told myself no and didn’t buy them since I have a billion games in my backlog as it is.

It would be nice if they gave me my points and collectible for buying God of War.

I also like how the December PS5 Store Picks says to buy God of War or some other titles for the 50 points. I wonder if they’ll give me the points if I just boot up the game. They really should’ve delayed this program until it was actually ready.

I am in the middle of the next section after Vanaheim too and god (ha!) do I love this game. I also put 3 hours into Pokémon Violet. Going to be playing more of both this weekend. Also as an early Christmas gift to myself, I ordered a Series X that’ll come in Monday and I’m off of work. I’ve never had all 3 consoles in a generation before so this is a first for me.

@Denni5m IMO, it does get harder but only bc the enemies become super sponges. The combat kinda just stays the same. I beat the game last month and the sequel last week so they’re still fresh in my mind and I eventually just dropped the difficulties to easy because it was just a button masher and wasn’t interesting. I went through them for the story, honestly.

Just finished Ys 9 yesterday. Played a few races In Hot Wheels Unleashed too. I don’t want to start anything new because I know I won’t finish it before Ragnarok comes out. Plus I’m working overnights this weekend so I’ll be comatose/tired when I am home so no gaming for me this weekend! Told my girlfriend she won’t exist to me once God of War comes out but I doubt I’ll even get much time to play it with my crap work hours. 😭

My sources say The Naked Man is actually the villain of the game but is a person in the real world. The protagonist is the player actually inside the game outrunning The Naked Man’s creatures and you will have to find a way back out of the game and defeat The Naked Man by putting him into the game. This is what he meant by breaking boundaries in games and movies.

@xrayzak47 you mean the PS and You campaign doesn’t even show up in the app for you? I’m also I. The US (EST) and I got it the day it was put up. As for the Walkman and PS3 collectible, I haven’t seen them so I think they’ll show up later. Unless you mean the one where you have to play certain games in order. I think some things are region specific also like the banana one because I never saw it in the app.

I missed the cinnasnail one. It’d be nice if they would push notifications to your phone letting you know when new campaigns appear. I don’t feel like checking the app every day for new campaigns.

I’m on the final chapter of Ys 9 Monstrum Nox. Hoping I can finish it on Sunday. The Medium will probably be the next game I play.

@freddquadros I was 20 at the time so I had like no money and not many games either. But I had way more time on my hands that I’ll never get again so I was playing anything. Probably had plus at the time because I remember playing games on plus just for the trophies. But yeah, I don’t have patience when it comes to long games anymore. I was playing Ys 8 on normal and like 30 hours in I dropped it to easy because i wanted to finish it within a reasonable timeframe. Still took me 52 hours but I did all the side content. But yeah, I use my PS5 maybe like 3-4 times a month these days. My work hours are all over the place so I’m always too tired to focus on playing so I mainly watch tv when I’m home. Only reason I’m actually trying to play games now is because I have Plus Extra and I know games are eventually gonna be taken off it so I wanna finish the games that are there that I wanna play before I lose access to them. Unfortunately, the ones I’m most interested in are super long (Ys, Yakuza) so that’s gonna be a problem

@freddquadros Agreed. Back in the day, I was going for the Mass Effect 2 platinum. Only needed to beat the game on the hardest difficulty but there was one part I was stuck on for ages. Couldn’t get passed it so I gave up on it. Missing the plat because of that one trophy still hurts me to this day. I don’t go for difficulty trophies anymore unless I really like the game and the gameplay is more slow paced rather than twitchy.

I just finished Ys 8 last night. Just gotta do one more end game side questy boss fight. If the game didn’t require you to finish it on the highest difficulty, I would’ve went for the platinum. Backlog so big I don’t even know what to play next. Especially since it takes me forever to finish games these days and Pokémon and God of War are right around the corner.

@Beerheadgamer82 no. There’s a spin-off game that’s VR but the original game is a regular game.

I’m interested in Chicory and Spiritfarer because I heard that’s good. I have no interest in Deathloop but I’ll give it a whirl for “free”. PS Extra has thrown a wrench into my backlog problem. I already had like 100+ games. Now it’s worse.

@get2sammyb What’s more bizarre to me is the PS fans who say they don’t care about Sony losing access to CoD because they don’t care about it. It’s like they don’t realize that all that money that Sony rakes in from CoD (and other Acti games) goes back into funding their favorite platform. So essentially they don’t care if the quality of PS games drop because without that CoD money, there’s gonna be a huge hole in Sonys wallet.

I just beat (and platinum’d) QUBE 2 two weeks ago and thought about how it needed a native PS5 version. I guess they heard my call. If the update is free, I’ll go through them again. Super easy trophies. Love this series.

I would cry if they make a remake to Crisis Core. I just beat FF7R last week and seeing Zack in it made me want a remake or even remaster so bad.

@killileahihoo I live in America so I paid in dollars. My plus sub ends April 27, 2023. Plus runs at $60 and plus extra runs at $100 so I should’ve paid $40 but since I’m a month and a half into my sub, I only paid $34 and some change. Not sure what country you’re in but you should be paying 33% less since you’re 8 months away from your sub ending. Hope this helps!

Upgraded to Extra because I want to play Shadow Warrior 3 and Stray when it comes out so it’s already basically paid for itself. Plus a lot more games on here like a couple of Ys games (I was close to buying 8 on sale because I’ve never played an Ys game and wanted to try it out), Warhammer games, etc. I’m downloading games now so I can play this week since I have some time off before I start a new job next week. Time to add to the backlog that was already too big!

One thing they have to add asap is the add to library function. For now I have to wishlist games I wanna play because I don’t have enough space and that’s annoying.

It’d also be nice if they had a sort button for games that are leaving sooner than others. That way I can play those games first.

If that photo of the logo being white with a red background is from the stream, it could be a Marvel game.

Was excited at first glance but after reading the article, I think I’m good. A Tales game from Gearbox is not something I, nor anyone I imagine, wants.
