@Dezzy70 No problem! Yes, Sony is very lucky to have such amazing in-house developers. Funny you mention that screen tearing in Far Cry 6. The game is great, love the whole series, but that issue has me forcing myself to finish it.

Ubi really needs to start optimizing their games better for console. Although, I was pleasantly surprised at how well Watch Dogs Legion performed, as lackluster as the game itself was to play.

@Dezzy70 That's correct. Applies to both disc and digital. Only reason to buy the PS5 disc version is for archival purchases, otherwise get 2 versions of the game for 10 bucks/quid less. 'Silly' is one way to put it; I'd call it shady and manipulative, myself, but I suppose we should be grateful there's a free upgrade path at all.

@NB-DanTE Buy the PS4 version, it includes a free upgrade to next gen. Pretty much no reason to get the PS5 version, especially digitally.

@InvaderJim Yeah, Azure works, if by "works" you mean "leaks all your data to anyone curious enough to utilize the ChaosDB exploit for the last 4 years"

@redd214 The first game has two of the best maps in the entire trilogy. Play 2 first, by all means, but if you enjoy it, trust me, go back to the first one (within the second game's engine.)

@NEStalgia said it pretty well, but I'll just add that these games bring an "immersive sim" aspect on par with or better than games like Dishonored, Prey, Bioshock, System Shock, Deus Ex and the like. Do not sleep on any part of this series (except maybe the 'Seasonal' DLC for 3...that really didn't catch my interest, personally.)

@PanFriedSoup Billie's powers are a little different from Corvo and Emily's, but the experience is more of the same, and you do get some of Corvo's powers on a second playthrough. Think of it like how the Knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches DLC were to the first game. Ties things off really nicely. It's also a way easier plat than 2 lol

@LiamCroft Thank you for sticking up for the developers' and game's integrity, despite all the screeching from your readers. It's insane how so many people are so quick to write off a multiplayer experience just because it's...a multiplayer experience.

Especially in this case; when BF Portal allows for content from 20 years of a franchise to be played in one modern 'remaster' with innumerable gameplay configurations, some rock dwellers will probably still be comparing it to CoD and (even worse) Fortnite.🤦‍♂️

Have you ever played BF, or any multiplayer-focused game, period? Literally ALL the (enjoyable) content is in MP, and always has been. At least for the last decade or so, as well as when the franchise first started.

Battlefield Portal, anyone? 20 years of a franchise in one game.😯

@get2sammyb BF has been throwing legacy maps into post launch content since at least BFBC2, and it's been almost universally lauded every time. If anything, I think it will unite the player base more, having content spread over 20 years of games consolidated into one new release.

With the number of people who main the Collector role in RDO, at least while I was still playing it, I could see this game really finding its niche.

@JechtUltima BF4 featured China as an antagonist faction in the campaign, and as a result, the game was not sold in China. I wouldn't put it past EA to tailor the story in a way that doesn't cut out large chunks of profit.

@Nepp67 I'm with you there. Although, I may actually start claiming the monthly million again, if it means I don't have to bother booting up the game...maybe all that cash will become relevant again one day. Probably not, though.

@Paranoimia It's not inherently a multiplayer game, but there are leaderboards, which I would argue is still a massively competitive element.

I don't think they're replacing it with a PS+ license version. The notice I saw stated that the user would still be able to play the game after being refunded, before it comes to Plus next week...so I would think they still have the permanent license for the purchased, 'owned' version.

@Gmork___ Yeah, I've never seen that term used to describe haptics before. The immediate connotation in my mind was that the buttons feel 'mushy,' but I'm assuming that's not what they meant.

Figured most of us would eventually need to expand storage anyway by the time those NVMe PCIs get enough of a price drop. The biggest news for me here is that removable (custom/3rd party) case panels is closer to being confirmed... hopefully no need to wait for a 'black PS5.'

@lacerz Maybe "didn't blink an eye" is hyperbole, but to think MS would come under any more scrutiny for this than those examples is overly optimistic. You're sort of confirming my point; a court ruled against those complaints. The FTC/FCC have simply lost their teeth. Thanks for the "educating" articles anyway.

@SirAngry Normally I hate correcting other's spelling/grammar, but in this case I agree with most of the points you've made to distinguish 'discrete' game products and continuous live services. The definition for GaaS is simply being applied too broadly here.

@Ralizah I think you still need to own 1 and 2, per IO's website: "it will be possible to ‘import’ locations that they own from the previous two HITMAN games into HITMAN 3." That said, the Hitman GOTY Edition is usually on sale for like $12 and Hitman 2 Gold Edition was $20 during Days of Play... it'll probably be there again for Black Friday. And I definitely recommend the 'complete' editions for both, at least when they're on sale.

@daveofduncan Start a New Game+ in Spider-Man to pick up the extra tokens you need for the suits... should only take you a few story missions/bases to finish up.

@Spoonman-2 While it certainly warrants respect, I honestly think it just speaks to the increased accessibility to platinums in recent first party games. And while getting them in Spider-Man, HZD, and Days Gone was enjoyable, if quick, it's a little dissonant seeing the 'One Percenter' trophy at 5.6% rarity.🤣

@crimsontadpoles Unlocks from 1 and 2 carry over, and the fish is unlocked pretty early on in 2 (Miami?) So it sounds like you're in luck!😜
Seriously though, I don't see how this game will be anything LESS than the last 2...the mission stories have always carried the weight and tonal depth of the story, with other challenges being more whimsical. These devs are brilliant, and it shows in their confidence here that they've only built upon their strengths. Needless to say, I can't wait!
