Weirdness: PS5 Controller Ships without Cross Button

If you put all 4 Triangle buttons, it will looks like mini DDR pad. 😂

First thing I thought of was the C buttons on the N64 controller.

It's almost if someone mistook the triangle for a arrow. Now the controller has a up and down button, lol

I didn't know they had unpaid interns on the assembly line. Imagine how a first time PS user would be confused.

I find this strange as i thought all previous playstation pad buttons had different location tags on the back side of them so you physically couldnt put them in the wrong place 🤷‍♂️

@God_of_Nowt it makes sense... on the package it says "Dualtriangle". For racing games with manual shifting up and down

@Kidfunkadelic83 that might explain why the triangle is upside down? Location tag needed for the triangle button to face up at the top would be the inverse of the X button to go at the bottom, so if you flipped it an upside down triangle would fit where X goes

I want a DualSense controller that has 4 Triangle buttons in different directions so it's literally just the N64 controller with the C buttons lol

Weird, mine too shipped without cross buttons.... They do have X (ecks) buttons though

My thoughts exactly,I used to repair mod and customise xbox's and PlayStation's back in the day. They all have different location tangs so should be impossible.

@KarlDavies90 seems to me like more of a printing error if thats even possible. Saying that tho, maybe the ps5 pad is different and has universal buttons.

The strange thing is the way the buttons are made they will only fit in the spaces they are made for.....
So it's not something you can fake as a triangle button would only fit in the triangle slot.
I would keep it in mint condition and sell it to a collector. Miss prints are rare

Not really as people can take apart a controller and put the button in themselves.
It only applies to stuff like figures or a misprint.

@Mince No, see, it doesn't need a longer 'tail' to be a cross...a cross is defined by its 4 right angles (as opposed to an 'X' having 2 acute and 2 obtuse.) A plus sign is a plus sign, yes, but it is also a cross.

I think you are mistaking cross with crucifix.

Either way you missed my point, the other three button are shapes, therefore the other button is likely a shape also. So cross!! Obvs!

As I said I have always called it X and always will do, I just accept the reasoning and sony’s official naming.
