Idk what version PC and Xbox got previously but I just finished Stalker 2 and it was incredible. I had very few bugs for the majority of the game and I can’t say enough good things.

My issue was the character development with Atsu in the end. Obviously no spoilers here but the resolution was EXTREMELY Sony coded and they need to find a way to get away from these types of story’s with big budget titles in the future IMO.

Geoff really needs to do 2 of these a year at most. Weak show, definitely some cool smaller titles and good to see Bloodlines 2 actually releasing but overall… pretty big waste of 2 hours.

I don’t disagree, they could even rename the thing EA Blahblah studios and it would be fine and everyone stays employed but this is going to be a hamster wheel of failure based on the legacy. No one who worked on that product can live up to classic BioWare after the last 4 games results.

Veilguard was one of the worst games I’ve ever played so I really wouldn’t trust “BioWare” with releasing a BioWare game, even a 1-1 port at this point.

It really is nuts how little China cares about IP. They will make anything to turn a profit.

This game is a blast and first person Hotline really is perfect. I got looped into this thing for hours when it first released. Great platinum for trophy hunters interested too.

Here’s my question: with a new RE in February and Onimusha some time after when does Capcom even release this reasonably in 2026. In a GTA year 3 single player Capcom titles seems nuts.

There are two major problems.

1: Asking for sometimes $30 USD more for early access and maybe some soundtrack and game art is totally insane. At that point the game is ready and it’s preying on internet FOMO.

2: This is exactly why I hardly frequent Twitch or YouTube anymore. There is big money in being the first person to spoil something and unfortunately a pretty big slice of gaming culture that wants to see it.

All of this is stupid.

I’m surprised no one said Crimson Desert. Now that more of the open world stuff is out there the game looks unbelievable. Outside of the usual PS Studios fanfare that’s the only day 1 for me here.

I hope they find a medium here regardless of perspective. Loved that RE7 and RE8 had the horror tone prominently again even though there were some action heavy portions. I’m still trying to care about RE5 and god knows 6 was an abomination with the action focus.

I really liked the solid combat and tongue in cheek nature of OW, but at the end of the day it really was a AA game. I’m sure this is a big improvement since the IP was established and could get more funding and a bigger team but come on. You push $80 on this one?? That seems like sending the game out as the sacrificial lamb to see if people will pay or not.

I also agree with the above, worst case it makes gamepass an even bigger value. Xbox is so weird this gen.

There were some cool trailers like Mortal Shell 2 that I didn’t expect but what else. An Atomic Heart sequel that’s years away, an RE trailer that told us nothing but the game exists / when it comes out and a lies of p dlc drop.

Usually love Geoff’s inherent nonsense but he needs to do game awards and save it all up for that.

As someone who has followed berserk intently since the late 90’s… I would rather die. Blizzard is beyond out of touch at this point.

I didn’t buy the hype and can confidently say after 6 months that Balatro is one of the greatest games ever made. Unbelievably deep and addicting and I’m still grinding for the plat.

Never played Ark but Boltgun is awesome for any boomer shooter fans too.

I’ve loved anything even remotely souls related since kings field but the team ninja style games are a little… meh. Will definitely try it but not expecting much more than a Nioh clone.

This game is going to be REALLY fun.

@Paulbuck28 No I remember, and absolutely zero hate to anyone who enjoys X-com or anything related but this is such limited commercial appeal when we keep getting bad games outside of Jedi.

I’m sure this will rule but with the gaming side of the franchise so damaged I’m just shocked they went this route.

Maybe it was just me but looked janky and once again has some pre ps4 looking moments. It’s From so it will almost definitely be good but the multiplayer focus is also an odd choice IMO

Just got the platinum a few minutes ago. Really cool game and I feel like Rebellion flexed some more creative muscles with this one. Hopefully we get more of these type of games and we hold back on a 50th entry into Sniper Elite for a little.

That’s a placeholder date for Sulfur, we’ll be lucky to see 1.0 by end of the year.

I love trophies but it isn’t the end of the world personally. I will say a game like Croc is definitely for the enthusiasts and you get an entire injection of trophy hunters by simply having a plat, this is like actively hurting a smaller title.

Giving x-men arcade game vibes very cool. Marvel was definitely due for something like this with the 90’s costumes and all.

Robocop is awesome but this is a weird month.

Game looks amazing but I think we need to take the same approach as Black Myth last year, be excited but cautious and if it delivers sick. If not we know to be weary of that dev moving forward.

I don’t know why we’re disparaging upcoming GOTY contender “Stroke the Dik-Dik”. The public at large didn’t understand Kojima at one point either but trust me, this is moving impactful art.

Definitely Kingdom Come though this is the first MH I’m actually making it through.

Shout out to Tiny Terry, bought the game with my daughter and it was actually very funny. Easy cheap plat that was a ton of fun, almost like a mini N64 collectathon.

@Logonogo Going for lent on the first playthrough and it’s been surprisingly easy. Soups don’t count so I’ve been using those and making sure I don’t kill any animals. Keep those ps plus backup saves in the cloud dude!!

You’re right, it’s not for everyone but I’m loving how deep it is. Seriously considering a second play through to make it plat 150.

I seriously cannot understand what everyone was expecting. Didn’t we mourn the first party when they canceled 600 live service titles? It’s going to be a long long time before we see anything new and I’m sure we’ll get dedicated shows for Ghost and the like.

I really want to play this again. I remember loving it as a kid and virtually nothing else about the game so definitely picking it up.

I agree with this completely. I really don’t think it matters who wins, it matters who gets acknowledged with the nomination. It shouldn’t, it’s absolute shlock advertising as always but people do care and it’s baffling.

This is a lot of good games. Moonscars and Prodeus especially are great pallet cleansers I highly recommend both.

Or here’s an absurd idea… show the game to your buyers sooner. The art direction was roasted the moment everyone saw it and you likely would have seen the writing on the wall if anyone knew anything about the game. We didn’t even know what kind of live service this was until way too close to release.

Whether Sony likes it or not they’re in sales and these days people clearly aren’t going to blindly buy whatever you’re making. You need to SELL it first.

Still getting no love but Visage and Darkwood should be on this list. Play them!!
