After the patches I have to say this is one of the best games I’ve played in a long time. Caveat is I can play games with minimal story and not care (love From games and still don’t have a clue what’s happening in half of them) so if you feel the same and love combat and systems I would strongly recommend.

Some of the later areas definitely have less content than the earlier ones so I could see this being expanded a ton in the next 3 or so years as well, PA could have a monster on their hands.

One of the few games I’ve played with my wife over the years. Excellent puzzle design and in a weird way almost feels like an old Disney movie. Very awesome news.

Pachter is just rage baiting at this point. He’s been wrong about every video game take he’s ever had.

Streaming will grow as the technology gets better for sure but we’re not even close to a world where it goes away entirely. Latency has gotten better but that alone makes streaming far from perfect.

Everything these last two days about Saros has looked and sounded amazing. Housemarque really are so underrated.

Not being able to play until 6PM on release day digitally in America is so strange. I don’t get that one at all just release it at either midnight or even noon in each individual time zone like every other game in history.

Really wish more people played AW2. No hyperbole it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played and can’t imagine anyone having a less than stellar experience with it, glad they finally fixed the pro version.

We’ve definitely peaked on Crimson Desert news to the point where this will either be the most loved or the most hated release of the year. Popcorn out gentleman.

@Nepp67 Can’t disagree too much, I don’t fault anyone for their favorite. RE4 is one of my favorite games of all time but it always felt more like an action game with a horror aesthetic where the grace sections here make you feel genuinely powerless a lot of the time.

I think it just depends on what you want out of a horror game. I loved Silent Hill F and I know many people who think it’s objectively trash

Got the plat and I’m giving this a 10. This felt like it finally found the balance of survival horror and action it was going for. Beautiful, varied and plays like a dream. So many Easter eggs too it’s pretty absurd for long time fans.

To each their own but I cannot wait to revisit this around Halloween.

I’m 39 and started with getting the sh*t scared out of me and my friends on PS1 with RE1.

This guys job probably sucks but you can’t blame people for being skeptical. There’s no way the noise on the console versions hasn’t been loud enough for them to show some dedicated PS5 Pro footage by now.

Played this in my ROG and it is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone who likes twin stick or even Metroidvania’s as that was the itch it scratched for most of the game.

@somnambulance Believe it or not this is the other opinion I’ve had from some friends, you have to play it and decide what it is for you. If this is true and it hits PS5 I’ll probably take a swing after Crimson Desert (if that isn’t just as divisive)

Makes sense they just did this with Avowed when they had the big title update.

I never played this and will do so eventually to form an honest opinion for the love of Bethesda but people I trust hate it. It sucks to see a once great studio struggle to modernize but the future looks bleak…

The body count on this live service push is astounding.

I get they need to get some wins in that space but Jesus man at what cost? These guys had barely scratched the surface and the potential seemed limitless. Seriously my heart goes out to these devs, what a shame.

How bout fixing the worst trophy of 2025? All 4 players doing their specials at the same time in an online match has been impossible and buying 3 more controllers is wild…

Looks amazing but I won’t lie that captured on PC at the beginning is a little scary. Looks like this could push the pro to its limit and base PS5 could chug hard with a game like this.

Liam one thing that has been bugging me is the perspective. I remember the early previews showing you could switch between 3rd and 1st person with Grace, is it the same for Leon?

I know you said it defaults to 3rd person, just wondering if that can change as I love the immersion that way though it seems like it could be extra wonky…

Idk what version PC and Xbox got previously but I just finished Stalker 2 and it was incredible. I had very few bugs for the majority of the game and I can’t say enough good things.

My issue was the character development with Atsu in the end. Obviously no spoilers here but the resolution was EXTREMELY Sony coded and they need to find a way to get away from these types of story’s with big budget titles in the future IMO.

No Shaolin Monks was so stupid. One of the absolute best PS2 games with friends

Geoff really needs to do 2 of these a year at most. Weak show, definitely some cool smaller titles and good to see Bloodlines 2 actually releasing but overall… pretty big waste of 2 hours.

I don’t disagree, they could even rename the thing EA Blahblah studios and it would be fine and everyone stays employed but this is going to be a hamster wheel of failure based on the legacy. No one who worked on that product can live up to classic BioWare after the last 4 games results.

Veilguard was one of the worst games I’ve ever played so I really wouldn’t trust “BioWare” with releasing a BioWare game, even a 1-1 port at this point.

It really is nuts how little China cares about IP. They will make anything to turn a profit.

This game is a blast and first person Hotline really is perfect. I got looped into this thing for hours when it first released. Great platinum for trophy hunters interested too.

Here’s my question: with a new RE in February and Onimusha some time after when does Capcom even release this reasonably in 2026. In a GTA year 3 single player Capcom titles seems nuts.

There are two major problems.

1: Asking for sometimes $30 USD more for early access and maybe some soundtrack and game art is totally insane. At that point the game is ready and it’s preying on internet FOMO.

2: This is exactly why I hardly frequent Twitch or YouTube anymore. There is big money in being the first person to spoil something and unfortunately a pretty big slice of gaming culture that wants to see it.

All of this is stupid.

I’m surprised no one said Crimson Desert. Now that more of the open world stuff is out there the game looks unbelievable. Outside of the usual PS Studios fanfare that’s the only day 1 for me here.

I hope they find a medium here regardless of perspective. Loved that RE7 and RE8 had the horror tone prominently again even though there were some action heavy portions. I’m still trying to care about RE5 and god knows 6 was an abomination with the action focus.

I really liked the solid combat and tongue in cheek nature of OW, but at the end of the day it really was a AA game. I’m sure this is a big improvement since the IP was established and could get more funding and a bigger team but come on. You push $80 on this one?? That seems like sending the game out as the sacrificial lamb to see if people will pay or not.

I also agree with the above, worst case it makes gamepass an even bigger value. Xbox is so weird this gen.

There were some cool trailers like Mortal Shell 2 that I didn’t expect but what else. An Atomic Heart sequel that’s years away, an RE trailer that told us nothing but the game exists / when it comes out and a lies of p dlc drop.

Usually love Geoff’s inherent nonsense but he needs to do game awards and save it all up for that.

As someone who has followed berserk intently since the late 90’s… I would rather die. Blizzard is beyond out of touch at this point.

I didn’t buy the hype and can confidently say after 6 months that Balatro is one of the greatest games ever made. Unbelievably deep and addicting and I’m still grinding for the plat.

Never played Ark but Boltgun is awesome for any boomer shooter fans too.

I’ve loved anything even remotely souls related since kings field but the team ninja style games are a little… meh. Will definitely try it but not expecting much more than a Nioh clone.

This game is going to be REALLY fun.

@Paulbuck28 No I remember, and absolutely zero hate to anyone who enjoys X-com or anything related but this is such limited commercial appeal when we keep getting bad games outside of Jedi.

I’m sure this will rule but with the gaming side of the franchise so damaged I’m just shocked they went this route.
