In an amusing wrinkle, the upcoming live action The Legend of Zelda movie’s snagged an official X (or Twitter) account – and it’s currently only following PlayStation and Sony Pictures.

The latter makes sense, of course, because this movie’s being made by Sony Pictures – but we do think it’s moderately humorous that whoever made the account followed PlayStation immediately and not Nintendo as well.

The account was actually registered in November 2023, which is when Sony announced plans to co-finance the film. But it’s suddenly kicked into life, retweeting various news articles about the movie.

Those of you who’ve been following this project closely will know that British actors Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth have been cast as Princess Zelda and Link respectively. The movie’s scheduled to release in 2027, so we’ll be learning a lot more about it over the coming months.
