Monster Hunter Wilds has unveiled its upcoming collaboration with Street Fighter 6, and it's actually all about Akuma.

The demonic fighter is making his presence felt through a free armour set, which can be unlocked through a new quest, suitably titled Ultimate Strength. Additional arena quests, named Demonic Strength and True Strength (naturally) will offer up additional rewards as well.

To be clear, the Akuma armour isn't just a layered (cosmetic) set, but there's no word on what kind of skills the equipment will come with.

And, as the above trailer demonstrates, you'll be able to unleash various Street Fighter attacks while wearing the Akuma gear. They can be activated through unique gestures, which should be a laugh.

Depending on how effective the moves are, it'll be interesting to see whether players start incorporating them into their gameplay.

There's also a Blanka-Chan armour set for your Palico, should you want to transform your trusty partner into a little green goblin.

Again, all of this stuff is free, and it'll arrive as part of Wilds' next big update, which drops on the 28th May. The update is promising a range of other gameplay additions and improvements, too, but we don't have the patch notes just yet.

As for dressing up Alma in Chun Li and Cammy outfits, that's where the paid DLC comes into play. Both costumes will be available to buy when the update drops.
