Re: Talking Point: Should Sony Have Its Own Controller Design Lab?

Bluetrain7

Yes, I would absolutely get a custom controller. I didn't know that Microsoft had a Design Lab. It's a great idea and I think there would be a large market for it with Sony's controllers. I just want the colors back in the face buttons. It's such an iconic color scheme that I still cannot understand why they changed that one aspect.

I’m deep down the rabbit hole of Disco Elysium. Played it for 12 hours straight. I wasn’t blown away by it in the first few hours, but the side cases really started to pull me into the world. The characters are interesting and the voice acting is almost universally great. The skills are useful and the level increases make visible changes to gameplay dialogue options. It’s not an upbeat game, but it’s a fascinating journey.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy a PS5 Remake of The Last of Us?

Bluetrain7

I think this is not really a question of would fans or owners of the current versions be willing to buy a remake. It’s going to function the same as the remaster did right at the beginning of the PS4 cycle. Here is a shiny version of a masterpiece to play on your new machine. It also makes huge business sense from the perspective of the HBO show. I would not be shocked by a remaster/remake of Uncharted 4 before the movie. In the end, it’s strictly business and it’s worth remembering that.

Re: Soon, You Won't Be Able to Buy These Awesome PS1 Games

Bluetrain7

@get2sammyb Do you think it would be possible to do a feature for each part of the closing stores (Vita, PS3, PSP) of the top 25 games on each platform to buy before they close? I think it would be helpful for players to make final purchases while it is still possible

Re: Sony to Unlock PS5 Storage Extension This Summer

Bluetrain7

I'm more interested in storing PS5 games on a cheaper external drive to shuttle back and forth to the internal SSD. I don't play more than a handful of games at a time so expanding the internal SSD doesn't bug me especially when it will be super expensive. But being able to store the other PS5 games externally would save on bandwidth and data caps.

Re: Poll: Are You Buying Cyberpunk 2077?

Bluetrain7

I've got the PS4 disc version coming on Thursday, but I won't be playing it until I have a PS5. I have a PS4 Pro, but I know that it will run better on PS5. It will also be patched to get rid of some of the bugs by the time that I get a PS5.

Re: PS5 Upgrades God of War with Up to 60FPS Support

I got the platinum on a 42” 1080p
tv (boy it was hard to read those menus) then recently replayed it on a 65” 4K tv with resolution mode. If I could play it at 4K with up to 60 fps then there is no doubt that I’d play it a third time before the sequel lands. Oh who am I kidding? I’ll play it a third time no matter what. My favorite game of the generation.

Re: Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Arrives 16th October, Update 1.1 Adds New Game+

Bluetrain7

NG+ sounds just as substantial as the God of War version and I love it. I can't wait to play it in Kurosawa mode for my second playthrough. New horse, charms, and dyes make it worth it.

Having gear loadouts is a huge addition and was one of my few disappointments with the game originally. The addition of playtime indicator is cool too as I know I've sunk a ton of hours in so far, but wonder exactly how many it has been.

So happy to hear that there are no microtransactions in Legends. I was worried that would not be the case.

Still working on the platinum for Ghost of Tsushima. I have been taking it really slow with the story and instead focusing on exploration, side missions, and stat boosting. I’m only in the middle of act 2, but I’ve updated all my weapons to near highest level and got fully upgraded mythic armor. I like the feeling of being over powered. I love this game so much. The story, with its twists, is great and the combat makes me feel like a skilled samurai.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Is Coming to Both PS5 and PS4

Bluetrain7

@Ulysses That last line says everything. We will really have to wait and see because no one (except the developers) know exactly how much differently the versions will perform. So those who are unsure can skip the pre-order and wait for reviews. I completely understand the apprehension.

Re: Crash Bandicoot 4 Demo Out Now on PS4

Bluetrain7

This and Avengers with the pre-order only demos/betas are really disappointing. I’m not sold on either game and I might be tempted if I could give it a test run. I wonder what the stats are for people who pre-order to get the demo vs people who would play a free demo to later purchase the game. These companies are obviously hedging their bets on the former, but it still doesn’t make sense to me.
