Yes, I would absolutely get a custom controller. I didn't know that Microsoft had a Design Lab. It's a great idea and I think there would be a large market for it with Sony's controllers. I just want the colors back in the face buttons. It's such an iconic color scheme that I still cannot understand why they changed that one aspect.
@nessisonett That's my plan too. I played the boring/sorry cop for this first playthrough. I want to play him as a blissed-out, crazy copy for the second playthrough. It's such an addictive game once you start.
I had started it a couple years ago but got pulled away by another game. I really want to play it in full before the sequel drops but I’m waiting for 4K/60 fps. Please announce that soon!
I’m deep down the rabbit hole of Disco Elysium. Played it for 12 hours straight. I wasn’t blown away by it in the first few hours, but the side cases really started to pull me into the world. The characters are interesting and the voice acting is almost universally great. The skills are useful and the level increases make visible changes to gameplay dialogue options. It’s not an upbeat game, but it’s a fascinating journey.
they're little things sure. but not having to jump through hoops for seeing hidden trophies and being able to choose which games to follow are nice quality of life changes. I stopped playing and deleted Fall Guys, but was still getting updates in my newsfeed.
I think this is not really a question of would fans or owners of the current versions be willing to buy a remake. It’s going to function the same as the remaster did right at the beginning of the PS4 cycle. Here is a shiny version of a masterpiece to play on your new machine. It also makes huge business sense from the perspective of the HBO show. I would not be shocked by a remaster/remake of Uncharted 4 before the movie. In the end, it’s strictly business and it’s worth remembering that.
Been refreshing the store all morning. Downloading now. I can’t wait to try this one after work. I’ve been anticipating it since reading the PC reviews.
@get2sammyb Do you think it would be possible to do a feature for each part of the closing stores (Vita, PS3, PSP) of the top 25 games on each platform to buy before they close? I think it would be helpful for players to make final purchases while it is still possible
I know a lot of people love this game, but I would much prefer a RDR remake/RDR2 remaster combo. I just want to play those back to back on modern hardware.
I'm more interested in storing PS5 games on a cheaper external drive to shuttle back and forth to the internal SSD. I don't play more than a handful of games at a time so expanding the internal SSD doesn't bug me especially when it will be super expensive. But being able to store the other PS5 games externally would save on bandwidth and data caps.
Aww, my PS3 motion controllers that I bought to play Heavy Rain on that system will finally be retired after using them with PSVR, haha. This is fantastic news!
I’ve enjoyed all the Sherlock games despite their bugs. Here’s hoping this is more polished. Also not sure we needed an origin story, but like others have said detective games are few and far between.
Platinumed it the first time. Went back and played the whole story a second time last year. Both were on PS4 Pro. Going to wait for the release date of Ragnarok then go through a third time with this new patch before the sequel comes out. Playing at 4K/60 fps sounds glorious and I am excited to play it again.
I had one crash in my 32 hours to get the platinum. I feel lucky and hope that this patch helps others. It is an amazing game that deserves to be played without lots of crashes. I still have rest mode turned off for my console in general. Just not worth risking game progress.
So thankful for this data. I was really hoping someone would compile it so I can tackle my backlog based on what works best on PS5.
Edit: Looks like it is a good time to play Telltale games if you haven't. Walking Dead, Tales From the Borderlands, and Batman all have improved framerate. The stuttering framerate always dampened the experience a little before.
@2cents You can actually skip the majority of the cutscenes by pausing and clicking "Skip Cinematic". There are a handful of scenes that are unskipple, but I blazed through it on new game plus.
Got the platinum over the weekend, but no email yet. I love this game so much. It was not a chore to do new game plus with such a great story and characters.
I've got the PS4 disc version coming on Thursday, but I won't be playing it until I have a PS5. I have a PS4 Pro, but I know that it will run better on PS5. It will also be patched to get rid of some of the bugs by the time that I get a PS5.
@get2sammyb Great review! I got the platinum for the first game because it was very reasonable in terms of difficulty. What is the platinum difficulty like for this game?
I got the platinum on a 42” 1080p tv (boy it was hard to read those menus) then recently replayed it on a 65” 4K tv with resolution mode. If I could play it at 4K with up to 60 fps then there is no doubt that I’d play it a third time before the sequel lands. Oh who am I kidding? I’ll play it a third time no matter what. My favorite game of the generation.
@L3GTRIGA Totally agree. I love the passion of everyone that works at PlayStation Access. I can’t tell you how many times that I’ve rewatched each of the Friday Features.
@BearsEatBeets I was thinking about a PS5 NG+ playthrough too. Do we have confirmation that the save will carry over? I know that Yakuza and some other games have confirmed that they are not cross-save, which I think is ridiculous.
NG+ sounds just as substantial as the God of War version and I love it. I can't wait to play it in Kurosawa mode for my second playthrough. New horse, charms, and dyes make it worth it.
Having gear loadouts is a huge addition and was one of my few disappointments with the game originally. The addition of playtime indicator is cool too as I know I've sunk a ton of hours in so far, but wonder exactly how many it has been.
So happy to hear that there are no microtransactions in Legends. I was worried that would not be the case.
Still working on the platinum for Ghost of Tsushima. I have been taking it really slow with the story and instead focusing on exploration, side missions, and stat boosting. I’m only in the middle of act 2, but I’ve updated all my weapons to near highest level and got fully upgraded mythic armor. I like the feeling of being over powered. I love this game so much. The story, with its twists, is great and the combat makes me feel like a skilled samurai.
I need Brok and Sindri to add to my Kratos/Atreus/Fire Troll/Dragur collection. I would love to see Freya and Baldur at some point. I just got the Jin Sakai figure and it is wonderfully detailed. I have Nathan Drake, Aloy, and Spider-Man on my shelf too.
@Danloaded This is my hope. That they have purchased the licenses for Silent Hill and MGS. Konami gets a cut of the profit, but is not involved in development. They don’t care about making video games, but if others did it for them and they made money then it’s a win.
I don't care about Bethesda, but owning ZeniMax gives them Wolfenstein (MachineGames) and Doom (id Software). I really want to continue to play those games as the recent iterations have been amazing.
@Ulysses That last line says everything. We will really have to wait and see because no one (except the developers) know exactly how much differently the versions will perform. So those who are unsure can skip the pre-order and wait for reviews. I completely understand the apprehension.
@TrolleyProblems Yes, the PS5 versions are even if the base game can run on PS4. The PS5 version will offer graphics, lighting, speed, and more that are not possible on the PS4.
This and Avengers with the pre-order only demos/betas are really disappointing. I’m not sold on either game and I might be tempted if I could give it a test run. I wonder what the stats are for people who pre-order to get the demo vs people who would play a free demo to later purchase the game. These companies are obviously hedging their bets on the former, but it still doesn’t make sense to me.
@wiiware I agree that Yuri just feels like the Prince. Warrior Within is my least favorite of the series. It was a misguided attempt to make the series edgy.
@wiiware Yuri was the voice in The Sands of Time and The Two Thrones in the Sands trilogy as well as returning in 2010's The Forgotten Sands. It was Nolan North in the 2008 game. Warrior Within was Robin Atkin Downes.
@wiiware The voice of the Prince is a new recording by Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced the character in the original game so he's not Indian. If you want to be annoyed about him being American then go for it. He also voiced Peter Parker in 2018's Spider-Man. To me, he is the voice of the Prince.

Awesome! I had started the game on PS4 Pro, but put it down for a bit. Once I got a PS5, I was waiting for a patch. Time to dive back into it.

@soulofman5446 less clutter if you have lots of demos or if you just don't play some PS Plus free games.

Great voice cast too with Cissy Jones (Delilah from Firewatch) and Yuri Lowenthal (Spider-Man, Prince of Persia). It looks beautiful.

Great, now can we get some of those other streaming service apps? In particular, I would like to see Criterion, Shudder, and SlingTV.
