@PS_Nation The main campaign was 14 hours according to the HowLongToBeat website, which would be solid for Spider-Man. It could easily add 20 or more on top of that after packing on the open world side quests and collections. Regardless, I would rather have a shorter campaign with reasonable pacing than a bloated story that drags on for too long.
I loved Rise of the Tomb Raider even after feeling sour about the timed exclusivity. This is a day one purchase as long as they don't pull that again. The sequel was such a big improvement on the already impressive reboot.
Aiming to make it through Horizon Zero Dawn this month. I loved the opening chapter, but got distracted with other games. I will feel sad if I do not finish it by year's end.
Finishing L.A. Noire. Then I’ll be jumping into Wolfenstein II which should be delivered today. Got it for $25 during the Black Friday sale. Always worth waiting on big end-of-the-year games.
Phew, I thought from the headline that they had done away with the whole interrogation system which is one of the core parts of the game. I guess the new titles do make it simpler, but Doubt did not always cause Cole to become aggressive so Bad Cop may not always apply tonally.
@Th3solution Yup, that's why I never buy games on launch during the end of the year rush. They will be hugely discounted for Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Christmas sales. I picked up Mafia III for half price only a few weeks after its launch.
Looks so good. I loved hearing the twangy electric guitar theme return from the RDR. I am happy it is a new character and not Marston. I felt like his story was told in a satisfactory arc in RDR.
That's a fantastic lineup. Already have MGS V, but Amnesia should be fun for the Halloween season. And by "fun", I mean me cowering in the corners of the game trying not to get caught. I watched some let's plays and it looks terrifying.
This sits alongside Red Dead Redemption 2 as my most anticipated game of 2018. The potential laid out for the story is high. I never really bought into Beyond even after loving Heavy Rain. The more binary choices bothered me in Beyond. There were so many branching stories in Heavy Rain and this sounds like a return to form.
Need to finish up Lost Legacy. Then dipping back into Return to Arkham to do the Harley's Revenge DLC.
Lastly, I'm going to start Alien Isolation. I've had the game for a couple years but I don't do well with horror titles and have avoided it. Alien is one of my all-time favorite films and I want to play this game for Halloween season.
It's the Red Dead Redemption series colors, but does not specifically state that it is the sequel. Could it be the remastered original on PS4? Please please please. After the LA Noire announcement, I am still hopeful that it could happen.,
I am very excited about this one and The Inpatient. I just finished Until Dawn and loved it. I like that Supermassive is trying new game styles with PlayLink and PSVR (Rush of Blood was great too). I do hope we get a proper full-length story sequel to Until Dawn with new characters in the future.
@solocapers Sure, it could likely could not run it at the same specs, but it is likely capable of displaying it properly at lower settings. I love my PSVR and I know it does not reach the technical performance level of its competitors, but I hope it is just a timed exclusive before that version comes over.
This is great news. I loved it on PS3 but have not revisited it recently. Being a huge film noir fan this game was a dream come true. Here's hoping framerate is also tweaked for this version.
@john_c how are you liking Sherlock Holmes? I liked Crimes and Punishments a bit better, but still enjoyed it a lot. I really hope they keep putting out the series on PS4. I love collecting the clues and using the deduction board. Some of the mini games are not the best but the ability to skip them relieves that frustration.
I am loving this game so far. I always wanted more Chloe after UC2, so spending a full game with her is fantastic. Her sarcastic wit had me cracking up last night.
Finally finished Until Dawn. I haven't had such a fun and scary experience in a long time. The ending got a bit over the top, but it felt appropriate with the narrative build. I don't often, but I am going for the platinum on this one. It is so replayable because of the many outcomes from your choices. I'm very excited about Supermassive's Hidden Agenda now.
@get2sammyb Thank you for always being so responsive. That is encouraging that you feel that way. I agree that a short break for the franchise could be in order, but I hope the series continues. I am sure that if it does then there will be further iterations on the game mechanics, which could keep it fresh, as Lost Legacy seems to be pretty directly built on the UC4 model.
@get2sammyb You sound like you're enjoying it from this article, but does it make you hungry to play more Uncharted games beyond Lost Legacy? Would you like the series to continue beyond this chapter? I guess you may not be able to answer that until you finish the campaign, but I was just curious. I feel more open to the series continuing, whereas my feeling last year was that UC4 wrapped things up nicely and no more chapters were necessary.
Honestly, not bothered that there are not a lot of big changes. We have gotten so much that we requested over the past couple updates (folders, appear offline, external hard drive, etc). There is absolutely room for improvement and tweaking, but I am pretty satisfied at the moment.
Finally! I have always wanted to play this game and was disappointed when news dried up about its release on Vita. It is such a socially relevant game between the European refugee situation and the US refugee crackdown. I will pick it up on day one.
I would buy just about anything Uncharted related, but Monopoly is not one of them.
The Lost Legacy stuff is not on the US store yet, but there are some weird items that I had not seen before. There is a Madagascar puzzle and temporary tattoos. Who comes up with these things?
I am so happy that this game is getting reviewed so well. I hope it sells far beyond expectations. Ninja Theory put so much work in crafting this tale about mental illness in a respectful way. It sounds like they made a great game to go along with the message so hopefully they are rewarded for it.
This looks like it has some varied level design. When I first heard of it, I had super nostalgic flashbacks to Tromytronic Thundering Turbo 3D. It was an electronic handheld shaped like binoculars that featured a lane changing game: https://youtu.be/Eagowtg8EpY
@get2sammyb Wow, they finally called it a "full game." They've been dancing around that phrase in many interviews that I've seen by calling it a new adventure and an extension of what they built with Uncharted 4. Do you think they've fudged the marketing on this one by not just calling it a full game follow-up to Uncharted 4? Yes, the idea started as DLC but it seems much more than a small standalone experience. It seems as they called it "a full game."
That thumbnail image actually looked cool so I came in here expecting something stellar. Darn you Sammy and your sarcasm. I'll excuse it because I learned new slang (twonk...British insults are so much more fun than American ones) and bore witness to whatever the heck was shown in that GOTY clip.
Well to be fair, it ended up launching on four consoles. Unless RDR2 straddles the line from PS4 and jumps to PS5 then there is no way that it could even get close. That said, if the online component is as popular as GTA online then it could sell like crazy.
@ShogunRok I was really just kidding. I appreciate that PushSquare is cautious with rumors. I would much rather you play it safe than post every single piece of wild speculation that comes out.

I will miss the Kaz Hulk Hogan header image
Re: Rumour: Red Dead Redemption 2 Rides Onto PS4 in July
I would be ok with that. I need to spend quality time with God of War which likely launches in March.
Re: Weirdness: This Is What CES 2018 Looks Like When the Power Goes Out
@ShogunRok I was hoping the video would show the lights out with only the glowing eyes and blinking sensors of the robots visible as they escaped.

Re: Watch Cory Barlog Answer Some Quick Questions About God of War on PS4
@get2sammyb Heads up that there are four GoW Funko Pop figures from the new game available on Amazon US
Draugr
Firetroll
Atreus
Kratos with axe
I'm not sure if it is worth an article, but they are due out on April 1 which may give us a clue to the release date.
Re: Papers, Please Cleared for PS Vita Release on 12th December
Holy crap! It’s been a good week for Vita with this and the announcement that Stardew Valley is still coming out.
Re: Square Enix Confirms New Tomb Raider, Lara Croft's Defining Adventure Begins in 2018

Re: Review: L.A. Noire (PS4)
I’m falling in love with it all over again. The cases are so absorbing that I’m losing track of time while playing it.
Re: PSVR Duo The Inpatient, Bravo Team Delayed into 2018
Bummer about The Inpatient
Re: L.A. Noire Remaster Does Away with Its Often Confusing Trust, Doubt, Lie System

Re: Hands On: Bravo Team Is Straight-Faced Co-Op Time Crisis for PlayStation VR
@get2sammyb Thank you! I just finished Until Dawn last month and I am eager to see a connecting story in that world.
Re: Hands On: Bravo Team Is Straight-Faced Co-Op Time Crisis for PlayStation VR
Interested, but still more intrigued by Supermassive's The Inpatient.
Re: Hands On: DOOM VFR Cleverly Keeps You on the Move in PlayStation VR
I was wondering how movement would work with the frenzied pace of the original. Teleporting in this game seems to make a lot of sense.
Re: Free PlayStation VR Demo Disc Includes Unreleased Games
Yes! So that's where the Moss demo was hiding. I could not find it on the PSN Store under the game page. Excited to try Star Child and Tiny Trax too.
Re: Hands On: Moss Is a Divine Demonstration of What PlayStation VR Can Do
@get2sammyb Is it only the EU store? I don’t see it in the NA store but I may be missing something.
Edit: Also, thank you for the preview. This is my most anticipated PSVR game.
Re: Work Never Ends in Job Simulator's Free Infinite Overtime Update
One of my favorite VR titles.

Re: PS4's Sale of Dead Discounts Horror Games on NA PlayStation Store
I've wanted Layers of Fear and thought about grabbing it last week because of the Halloween season, but I'm happy I waited ($22 vs $7.99).
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 190
@wiiware Is the demo on the North American store? I can't find it.
Re: Batman Maker Rocksteady Says Fans Will Lose Their Minds Over Next Game
@Jwade754 Then after saying that, they did Arkham VR. I bet they return to Batman eventually even if this next game does not focus on him.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 188
Going to give another go to Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare as it is Halloween season. I got too spooked last time I tried to play it in 2010.

Hmm, HTC Vive gets VR Case Files. I wonder why PSVR was left out of that option. Maybe it will be added?
