How is the PS Now support affected ?

There’s a few Bethesda games on Now.

Xbox must be planning an increase to cost of game pass within first few years of next gen.

I can’t see how their model is sustainable, spending $7.5 billion on studio
Losing money on console
Losing money in software sales with game pass impact

To keep the quality of games up game pass will need to be more expensive to buy.

At the moment though gamepass is insane value.

PS Plus - £39.99
PS Now - £39.99
EA Access - £19.99

So basically Sony just combine Now and Plus and make it cheaper then that’s cheaper than Ultimate and I believe Now has over 600 games. I don’t know what Game pass has.

You can Stream to PC VIA PS Now / Remote play (Not as good as Xbox option)

You can play PS games on mobile by remote play. Doubt streaming PS NOW this method would work but the downloadable games will work. (Again not as good)

Sony has lot to announce still but depending on how they play this they can match / better game pass in some aspects. Interested to see what happens

Really need to put dreams on plus the games dying rarely see over 2000 people on it

@JohnKarnes not knocking the game just by that point I was pretty tired of how dull and slow the show was and this announcement just added to it more for me personally.

Honestly felt it should just been YouTube trailer like the Overwatch stories not slammed into middle of 2 hour stream taking up 5-10mins or whatever it was.

It was nice to see little extension on what we had already seen but fact this ended show. Showed how dire the show was. There wasn’t really anything we hadn’t seen gameplay wise already.

Good to get confirmation it’s in launch windows and will be day one like all the other games for me

Incredibly disappointing I think this is the worse show I have watched live. I didn’t have high expectations to start either but these updates on games we heard of just showed stuff I’d already seen.

It really should never have been a 2 hour show. I don’t understand what the awards thing was about at all, The dragon age and wow section took up so much time to say nothing. Saying every 5 minutes ratchet and clank and fall guys later in show just got tiresome.

I did like look Lego Star Wars I feel I had to say something good about it and I hadn’t seen that. Anything else new I’d forgotten about already or can’t play as it not on ps.

Nice watch dogs 2 is game I kept debating and never got in the end. Really enjoying PlayStation now.I had doubt over getting it but had it for 3months now, got it for year when there was promotion on store for it and then extended it by an extra year with days of play sale. Definitely getting my moneys worth out of it

I have feeling the part where Clanks says “where are we” is Jak and Daxter universe , I’m probably over thinking but would be cool nod towards the game like they used to do

This is actually nice touch, considering this was a plus game as well. That’s means some people will have got the whole things for free.

I recently subscribed the other week when it was on offer and definitely think it was worth the money and plan to keep it now.

I don’t have the best of internet and was surprised with how well the PS3 games have worked for me.

Had the odd rare lag spike but most time I can play for hours with no issues and all the PS4 games are downloadable so no issues with any them at all.

I feel this format works if your showing one thing. System / Game but they still need to nail if they’re showing multiple games for example.

@tomassi The game comes off PS Now in few weeks time if you didn’t see. I can’t remember the date but I think it’s start of June.

Replaying Mafia 2 on PS now at the moment. Never played 1 so looking forward to getting this

I’ve had rewards previously for getting platinums in games bloodborne gave a theme. I’m sure another did too but can’t remember which. More this would be nice

My one disappointment about PS4 is lack of Ratchet and Clank games , they’ve big guilty pleasure of mine so hoping for more on PS5. So hope to see 2/3 this time round

Loading times and companion AI are the two things that need serious work in my opinion

I’m actually disappointed in the Outer worlds personally and I guess this can link in a bit with the article about tedious trophies from the other day.
I must admit I played on Supernova first which probably spoiled the experience for me as it’s very tedious to play. I always like to play on the highest difficulty first though.

It felt like 1/2 my time playing was to direct companions away from fights to keep them alive because they are literally useless , even if you give them really good gear and command them correctly they go down so easy then I had to load a checkpoint back up from probably 10/20 minutes ago to get them back. The eating , drinking sleeping mechanics and then lack of fast travel added to the frustration as you would have to fast travel back to the ship to sleep to then run across the map again back to where you was. The loading times then added to the frustration of all this... it’s got awful loading times.
The story is good though if can get through all this and the game play is okay but I just think this game is getting more praise just because of how bad fallout is.

Would you have ever gone back to these trophies if the servers weren’t going to be turned off ?

I personally did this with ratchet and clank games but I don’t think I will have gone for them otherwise

I don’t know what it was but resistance multiplayer was the solidest multiplayer I ever played. I dont have the best Internet but never lagged never had connection issues nothing and I just remember that strongly about these games.

It would be ludicrous if they did cancel the contract.

As for movie side we could now see the Venom and Spider-Man movies coming together , every cloud

Personally I think they are doing this to keep the cost of PS5 down , they need to make the money elsewhere but when PS5 launches I’d expect we would get 4 again

I worry that with games no longer selling at launch for £40 etc then less money will be made so less invested in developers

@youreyesonly00 You don’t understand what I mean clearly , MGS 5 isn’t just a stealth game , the formula changed and lost its stealth magic for me in doing so. The gameplay was good but I had more fun trying not to be stealthy so to me it wasn’t a stealth game because I played it my way with the other options it let you. Hence my original message I haven’t played a good stealth game on this generation because MGS 5 wasn’t what I expected it to be but I enjoyed it another way.

@youreyesonly00 Metal Gear Solid 5 - an unfinished game lacking in any good stealth missions playing in same areas over an over and nothing like a true MGS game. I spent lot time playing still but it just didn’t do it for me compared to the others. Good game but I don’t consider it a good stealth game.

I haven’t tried dishonered I’ll be honest so thats one I may need look at

I adored the Modern Warfare series on PS3. I would like this to be just as good.That’s when shooters where at there best for me , this generation has been so hit and miss but I’m thankful for that as I have branched out and tried so many other games I may never even have considered before.

I could be wrong but haven’t multiple people said this Thursday they are announcing updates on there games , why would they all be Thursday if it wasn’t this

I can understand Sony doing this personally there was a leak in the place I work and they had to announce plans of making redundancies a month earlier than planned due to media finding out. The higher ups at PlayStation will have definitely known.
