Did you hear that Activision and Infinity Ward are "reimagining" Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare? Yep, and believe it or not, the announcement has gone down incredibly well. It's safe to say that Call of Duty has had its ups and downs over the last decade or so, with a handful of titles like Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare drawing a substantial amount of ire from fans, but we guess that the return of Captain Price and the promise of a story-driven single player campaign is enough to get people on board.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (that's the new one coming to PlayStation 4 this October, to avoid confusion) was revealed via an in-engine trailer last week, and it's already wracked up a rather staggering 25 million views. Perhaps more impressive is the like and dislike ratio: just 14,000 dislikes to a whopping 416,000 likes. It's the best received Call of Duty announcement since... Well, let's just say it's been a long time.
Do you think that the positivity will sustain itself as we get closer to the game's October launch? Give us your best Price impression in the comments section below.

Given that I don't know if you use one of your video as ADS on Youtube, it will increase the raw number of views, I wonder if this record is just because they are spending billions in youtube ads using the trailer as video ads?
if you watch a pretty length video on video-games -e.g. a long review or a breakdown of pure speculation and bs on DS - you may be asked to watch it twice or even 3 times.
@madcow78 YouTube Ads are the only reason i’ve seen the trailer 4-5 times
I adored the Modern Warfare series on PS3. I would like this to be just as good. That’s when shooters where at there best for me , this generation has been so hit and miss but I’m thankful for that as I have branched out and tried so many other games I may never even have considered before.
@CloudNine same 4 me. As , the first time I didn't know what is was about a couple of times I couldn't skip it and lastly another couple of time I had youtube as "background noise" while cooking thus couldn't be bothered to wash and dry my hands to skip it.
Only time will tell if these views are paid ones and they are just pulling an "Apex Legends". And anyway, I think that if they do not embrace VR COD - and probably the whole genre - will dry during next generation.
I'm interested for the first time since the original Modern Warfare.
If it has reasonable single-player/co-op campaign and isn't laden with microtransactions for red dot reticles and the like, I may bite around launch. Otherwise, I'll get a used copy off eBay or something a few weeks after launch, just for the single-player.
I've never been a big fan of the franchise as I've always preferred fps games like DOOM and classics such as Timesplitters. I did like the first Modern Warfare and this trailer has piqued my interest, however there are more interesting games for me coming out and that likely includes Doom Eternal around that time
