You may have already heard, but The Outer Worlds is not a very buggy game, despite developer Obsidian's (at times undeserved) reputation. Still, there are a few rare issues that the studio wants to iron out with the game's first post-launch patch, which is due to release at some point next week. It's also set to increase the size of conversation and subtitle text -- no doubt a relief to some players who are tired of squinting.
Here are the early patch notes direct from Obsidian:
- The crashing issue in Tartarus
- Increase Font Size - Conversations/Subtitles
- Muffled sound effects occur at random times for players on the PS4
- Companions dying and failing companion quests on modes other than Supernova
- Unable to finish "Radio Free Monarch"
- Trophy "Not the Best Choice" fails to unlock properly

I had no bugs or hiccups whatsoever in my first playthrough. Very impressive considering Obsidian's track record.
"Woah, woah, woah...it's Rizzo's."
@Neolit i use that zoom feature alot. Was great for looking at map for darksiders remastered.
Man another game with tiny text? That's been my bane of late.
TVs are SO Big these days, mine is 52" (that's 132cm, you guys must have some huge tvs over there) and while I can read most stuff most of the time there's always some submenu or mission I just skip b/c I can't be bothered to get off the couch.
I always get bugs in any game no matter what (I'm always doing things you aren't really expected to do), so my experience is not common by any means, but after I murdered everyone on the Groundbreaker my game wouldn't stop stuttering even after I reloaded my save from an hour earlier. Hahaha
I'm going to reinstall after I finish Death Stranding, but I think that will fix it as it was probably a memory leak issue.
Other than that I've had no issues at all.
Loading times and companion AI are the two things that need serious work in my opinion
@B-I-G-DEVIL - Oh man those load times are abysmal, toward the end of the game when I had loads of fast travel points open I spent more time staring at load screens than playing. Especially hated some of the quests where even entering and leaving a small house would have to load you in and out, just terrible!
The only bug-glitch I encountered is the very first unmissable trophy, welcome to halcyon, not popping for me. That's all. Well, it's an excuse as good as any to start all over again.
@Neolit What button combo does that translate to on my Switch? 😉
Thanks I still plan on starting Witcher 3 on PS4 in this lifetime so that could help. And that PS push square button combo should be easy to remember. 😁
