Just finished it. I loved it but won't return for a while. The load times weren't game killing but definitely noticeable on the ps5, but it's the same with all Unity games.

Got covid which sucks but it means I've been able to tackle the backlog a bit. FFVIIR PS5 is on the menu at the minute

Microsoft's product this gen is gamepass, the series x/s exist to showcase it. If they openly stated they want to bring it to Playstation they'll have backed Sony into a corner, plenty of PS gamers would be furious if they turned it down. Once they've hooked most of the market you can guarantee all the ridiculous deals they are always offering on the price of subscription will vanish.

The specialists break what battlefield was about. Everyone working in a fireteam had a defined role and was easily identifiable by how they looked. Now no one is really sure who does what and solo 'hero' play is the default. It also feels like the trailer with all the crazy stuff happening is only achievable by only the highest ability players, everyone else just exists for them to rack up their kills and make them look fantastic on their streams

DA:I was a good, not great, 30 hour game stretched out over 90 hours. I have little hope for any bioware game, EA gutted it.

It was painfully generic though. It did nothing bad but you'd be hard pressed to differentiate it from the millions of zombie titles out there.

The fact Genshin isn't on this list is a crime. The Inazuma soundtrack was near perfect.

This is much more like it. Looks like they'll hang the story on Uncharted 4's bones. Still terribly cast though.

I bought it on release and loved it. It wasn't perfect, the main plot is dire and, outside of memes, it's characters are pretty forgettable but few games match it's sense of discovery. I played the ps4 re-release and wasn't as keen, its just not aged particularly well, especially when held up against The Witcher 3.

They announced games that didn't exist, almost as if they needed to draw attention away from something...

It reminds me of Nightmare creatures, I loved that game back in the day

I'm completely burned out on Marvel.

It wasn't a beta or demo though, it was an unfinished game they had no choice but to release. Once FIFA came out they were never going to make up ground from behind. They had two years and screwed up. Unlike cyberpunk they have a direct competitor, patch it all you want the players won't be back this season.

GTAV's controls just about get the job done but they aren't exactly the gold standard. With the amount of money Rockstar throws at their games I don't understand why they keep using the same janky control scheme.

Something with more meat on it than dirt 5! Ditch the tacky gymkhana modes and focus on making the sp campaign more than padding. The biggest issue I have with dirt is how faceless each track and car is, they need to learn how to make each race and actual 'event' and each car more than c-s stats. I enjoyed d5 but it feels like a game from 10 years ago and takes absolutely no risks with the genre.

Nice that we are getting this, I love a good mecha game. Chromehounds was one of my favourite games on the xbox360, way ahead of its time and we never got a sequel, FromSoftware must be busy with other things I guess...

Played it, hated it. It's cut and paste CoD, I don't know why I expected the WWII setting to see the series step out of its beige comfort zone. The story trailer was painful, absolutely nothing we haven't seen done to death before and everything felt so last gen. Gonna pass this.

Personally I wasn't sold on the Fortnite graphical style or the painful hipster gen-z characters but I'm willing to give it a chance. If this was a 'new' game there wouldn't be half the blowback, by slapping the Saints Row brand on it gamers rightly or wrongly have an expectation that the trailer obviously didn't meet for many.

Judgement was the main reason I went for the ps now for £1 a month deal. It's not that much different from Yakuza but that's not a bad thing!

The game was great but take off the rose tinted glasses. I tried playing it recently after digging out my PS2 to introduce my son to some classics and its aged poorly. I was actually shocked at how bad it played but by far the biggest problem for me was the story and how out of date, trope laden and basic it is. I kind of wish I'd left my memories of the game intact.

The series doesn't really need to reinvent the wheel. I had more fun with DQ11 than any FF since X. Sylvando is one of the best written and voice acted RPG characters of all time.

The only game breaking bug I encountered in the demo was the bot teammate refusing to leave the minigun alone and get into the safe house. It was fun but it had obvious issues.

With the CCP going to war with tencent and the crackdown on games as "digital opium" there's no guarantees on any game coming out of China

The people still playing (and paying) GTA online have killed the SP for the rest of us.

It's an absolute joke that routinely gets a free pass for blackfishing because "she's Italian". Ten years ago she was white, now she performs alongside Nikki Minaj and is visibly darker than a black woman. It's not just the skin colour either, its her style, that she now speaks with a "blaccent" and uses "hood" imagery for her lyricism.
