It's the series s that loses £200 per sale, Microsoft has been really cagey about the series X loss leader. Both are getting price bumped in January anyway.
Microsoft may have deep pockets but they missed their gamepass growth targets by a huge margin. A few sites reporting that the xbox consoles, price of games and gamepass will all significantly increase next year as the Microsoft share holders have called time on selling at a loss.
I found tales of arise to be a massive disappointment. The first few hours are great and I wanted to love it but the story details itself and the combat grew stale.
Don't get me wrong I love JRPGs but the problem with a lot of JRPGs is that they are stuck in the past. They are still churning out the same tropes time and time again and refusing to take risks. P5 had massive success because it was willing to try something different.
Either go action or turn based, the hybrid systems have been pretty bad. VIIR was the best attempt they've had at it but it pales when held up against something like Genshin or Tales of Arise.
@jcvandan the gacha is pretty generous tbf. Every 70 pulls on a banner takes you to the soft pity cap, every 90 guarantees a 50/50 pull on the banners 5* character. If you lose the 50/50 you get another 5* character and your next 5* is guaranteed to be the banners character. The pity count continues between premium banners as well, so you don't start over each time. The next banner has Zhongli, the best shielder in the game and definitely worth having a crack at. Uid: 701713997 if you want to add me.
@jcvandan Yep, nearly every character is viable in the over world. You'll only really struggle in the monthly hardcore dungeon which is completely optional. I'm 100% f2p and have defeated everything the game has to offer so far. It's a great game that's only gotten better since launch.
@Athrum No card packs to buy. It's just an easy way of introducing a bit of randomness into each battle, same with back 4 blood. Arguably it's not a bad thing though, xcom became a joke with certain skills.
@UltimateOtaku91 You can drop the world level back by 1 now and farm. Anything under level 50 team compositions don't really matter that much, start getting beyond that and you're going to start needing optimised teams.
Much of what people are loving about Elden Ring was present in DD. Tough enemies, great bosses, distinct combat builds, an inventive world that is begging to be explored and a plot that's happy to sit in the background letting you engage with it on your own terms. It baffles me how it sank without a trace.
So these guys signed a contract saying they wouldn't do it and they went a did it so Sony called foul. That seems pretty fair tbh. They were willing to take Sony's money and the terms that came attached.
I love oddworld but only managed a few hours on Soulstorm. Too many glitches, janky controls and an ill advised crafting system. I had to restart a level three times because of assets not loading correctly and Abe getting trapped.
BL3 proved they had run out of ideas so I don't have much hope for this. Even if the series was still flying high I'm not sure I'd pick it up, Tiny Tina is easily the worst character in the series.
It's not great. It looks good but its about as generic a cyberpunk world you can get. The plot and characters could be torn from a cyberpunk-101 writing manual. Gameplay gets boring very fast with endless trash mobs and more padding than fat-suit, especially in the second half. I wanted to love this game as I love both Ruiner and Diablo but this was straight up generic tier trash.
Cyberpunk 2077, going on holiday so HFW will have to wait until I get back. I don't want to be spending the whole trip thinking about it after playing the opening few hours!

Re: BioWare Shares Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Codex Entries, Anticipation Builds
I would love for DA4 to be great but I have very little confidence it's going to be any other than a dog's dinner. EA absolutely destroyed Bioware.
