Re: Soapbox: Why Do You Replay Games?

Because games never come out finished nowadays!!

You need to replay a game months after release to experience it the way was meant to be played in most cases (unless multiplayer)

It’s strange that the writer of this article believes Sony needs an answer to Gamepass while subsequently pointing out their lack of studios to fully flesh out such an endeavor. This subscription model works for Xbox because they have quantity over quality!

Look at PS+ collection, it demonstrates quality over quantity the exact opposite of Gamepass and doesn’t get respect or coverage it deserves <- not because the games are lacking but because there aren’t enough to choose from

@HotGoomba true gamers don’t have brand loyalty they simply support great games made by passionate artists, if Deathloop meets that requirement I’ll give it my money regardless of who profits

Xbox knows these facts so they created Gamepass because making great games and selling them traditionally wasn’t working. Now they’re repackaged in a subscription format for $9.99 and suddenly it’s a great deal!!

Microsoft simply has the cash to bribe 3rd party developers onto an experimental ecosystem! Fantastic value for gamers!! That doesn’t discount the value PlayStation offers even when facing game price increases

This quote literally reads “All upcoming Bethesda titles will appear on Gamepass” basically confirming you cheapskates won’t have to buy their buggy games anymore just continue to download and not play them like the rest of Gamepass library

The only time “exclusivity” is mentioned is in beginning of statement Phil states “obviously I can’t sit here and say every game is exclusive”

Followed by “ship great exclusives games to you on Gamepass” - nowhere does he imply games will be taken away from other platforms

@TheFrenchiestFry have fun with that bet

Presumably Sony isn’t worried about Bethesda, this news hasn’t brought out the big Ragnarok guns we know they’re packin, and with a few paltry 1st party offerings on pc the platform is seemingly experimental akin to VR

As a matter of fact Sony has shown more support for VR than porting games to PC

GTA5 gets a lot of slack for being a prehistoric game by today’s standards yet staying hip & relevant in ways that could make Fortnite blush

And here I am reminiscing of when R* released the PS4 and Xbone updates introducing a 1st person mode that’s become a feature for even RDR2!

Now imagine Cyberpunk releasing their next gen update and including a 3rd person option at the click of a button

In other words either R* doesn’t get enough credit for their innovations or their greed simply overshadows the progress

I don’t see any hud, hard pressed to call this real gameplay when everything looks so staged and doctored! Like for real are all you gamers so easily fooled!? Notice how almost every enemy performs leaping lunge attack at the player before a dramatic camera cut and music queue... speaking of the camera NONE of this footage looks real time, it’s as if they were trying to capture the movie vibes and forgot to show off game mechanics

Re: March 2021 PS Plus Games Are Available to Download Now

So I’ve held off on playing/buying FF7 in anticipation for this PS5 version coming in June - Never did I imagine the PS4 edition would be free!

The problem is I can’t in good faith let this “free” game sit there until June only for me to purchase the game again for PS5

Should I just play the game for free on ps+? Potentially not returning for the dlc because I’d have to buy the whole game again

Or should I wait for the complete PS5 edition with new content and pay over $60 to experience it!?

Warning for PS5 users: redeeming FF7 remake for ps+ could potentially screw you over if interested in PS5 upgrades, since you may be unable to purchase FF7 after redeeming the free version..

In other words, you could claim this game on ps+ and enjoy it now but when the NEW version is released you’ll have to spend $70 - or don’t redeem the free copy right now and snag the game on sale so you’ll have the PS5 upgrades for free!
